I was overall pleased with this property. The only drawback was no elevator and the room was a tiny bit dated, but overall everything was nice and clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Great experience. The Hotel was build in 1905 and managed to maintain some of its old-time charm and formality (much appreciated). However, it does not appear to be dated in any way. We had a double room with 1 Queen and 2 twins which was excellent for the family.
Would definitely recommend.

I felt like I was in a real hotel. I was treated with great respect by all the staff. When I needed assistance with phone calls or parking or ice or milk or anything, they immediately helped me they even posted my mail. The front desk people are superb. I have not had a hotel experience like this in a long time.

Everything you would want from a great hotel: Spacious rooms with very comfortable beds and excellent bathrooms. Fantastic breakfast buffet, safe parking and very friendly and helpful staff. The location is central but quiet. We would definitely stay at the Hansa again!

No airport shuttle and not willing to arrange one. I booked this because of the mention of an airport shuttle. The hotel ignored my emails to arrange the shuttle, so I had to call internationally. I was then told that they don't have a shuttle and they would not arrange one. They told me there was a booth at the airport (there is not) to arrange a shuttle. I asked the hotel to correct the reference to an airport shuttle on Expedia and provided them with sufficient time to do this. At the time of this review, they had not. Otherwise, a decent basic hotel, which appears to cater to large tourist groups.

The hotel facility is good. The room is comfortable. However the reception is not up to par. She is not very helpful with our inquiry nor sympathetic to our situation.
And a car alarm went off on or near the property for half an hour around 4am and nobody is doing anything to get it under control.

Better bulb not working by bed , past guests clothing left in wardrobe, shower noisy and fridge not working, however all reported and dealt with . Overall would recommend

An amazing relic of German influence in Namibia. This hotel is spectacularly clean! A lot of the old fixtures are retained, but updated have been made as well. A perfect blend of old and new. Just a block away from the Museum and waterfront. Excellent service and excellent breakfast. Will return!

The Hansa Hotel is an older hotel, but I found the property to very clean and well maintained. The staff at the Front Desk, Bar and Breakfast were attentive and helpful. Our party arrived after they reopened, they were closed due to COVID. We enjoyed the old world feel and service at the Hansa Hotel. The beach, with its restaurants and cafes, is a short walk from the hotel.

Lovely Colonial Style property. Very well kept. Amazing restaurant and cozy late night pub with fireplace for those cold Namibian nights.

Old school colonial charm. Great bar, great breakfast and located in the heart of the old cutesy German part of Swakopmund. Bathrooms had been redone to a high standard and all dealings with staff were positive. The colonial or irish coffee as a nightcap was a real theatrical treat. Has wifi in the rooms but up and down as with all of swakopmund.

Overall the Hansa Hotel keeps a very high traditional standard of comfort, service and restaurant. A good selection of other restaurants located close by and within an easy walk of the harbor front and shopping. Hope we can return there one day.

An enjoyable stay in a nice hotel in the middle of Swakopmund. The hotel has some history to it (reflected in the beautiful lobby), but the rooms are modern and comfortable.
