We booked on expedia. We stayed here as it had a higher hotel rating. When we checked in we were shown to a small outdoor building in centre of the parking lot. Cars were parked on all sides. When we went into the building it was a small room with a small table and very narrow spiral staircase going up to twin beds. You couldnt take luggage up. The bathroom was off the front door. The toliet was not attached properly to floor and shower was the same. When we used them water leaked on the floor. There was hardly any toilet paper or towels. We could hear people all day and night as they were coming and going in parking lot (where our room was). we just made the best of it.

Definitely not as pleasing as was advertised. The rooms are much smaller and not as nice as in the pictures and the condition of the stairs was quite literally shaky. To our surprise there was no restaurant at the hotel and the staff was baffled when we asked, despite it being mentioned in the hotel description and the keycard had the opening hours listed. So silly us I guess? What was not mentioned however, was that we could not pay our room with a credit card (which we later found out is highly unusual for this area) and finding a working ATM in this semi-secluded area is a pain. Overall I would not recommend and for anyone looking for accommodation in the area I would suggest choosing one of the nearby slightly more expensive options.

The hotel is in a nice location (close to Plitivce park) and the room was clean however the main lady working at check is SOOOOOO incredibly and unnecessarily rude. I will definitely not stay here ever again especially considering that apparently the hotel right across the street is great. The only reason I chose this hotel was because of the pool but it’s not heated and was so freezing cold my kids couldn’t stay in it for long. There are definitely better options.

In the middle of nowhere which we expected but the Hotel itself was good. Room was smaller than we thought it would be but fine for 2 nights stay. Shower was super nice & powerful!!! There is a restaurant called Veronica’s (something like this) about 15 minute walk away which sells pizza and burgers, was ok but the waitresses (twins?) a barrel of laughs ( I’m being sarcastic). A further walk into the woods (maybe another 10 minutes was another restaurant called Pollyanna (again not the actual name but what we called it). Beautiful scenery and good food - Staff were lovely! The park itself as beautiful and well worth the price… The big waterfall is something else… A choice of several walks at different distances to walk, we did H which took about 3.5 hours. Definitely go to the park AM as in the afternoon it gets extremely busy! Also bring waterproofs/ umbrella and good walking shoes/trainers.

Beautiful accommodation just a stone's throw from the park. Quiet and comfortable, lovely breakfast and even a swimming pool. Definitely recommended

It was close to the park of Plitvice which is what we wanted. Staff was friendly. If you choose the "pay later" option at booking time, be aware they only take cash. Same for charges at their restaurant.

Unfortunatly it was disappointing - a mini room. No internet. No TV. The shower unusual hot - not to use. The diner was bad. Instead of local kitchen a boring dry food. Overall really disappointing.

Our experience started positively with a smooth check in and was escorted by a really welcoming staff to our room. Cash only even for your room fee - a few reviewers mentioned it so we got cash beforehand. Not a lot of bank ATMs in the Plitvice area. Unless if you want someone to scold at you, do not touch the coffee machine right next to the reception area. The “I have no name” staff takes great pride in policing that self serve machine. Putting up a sign would be more efficient and less confusing. The room is clean and basic. If you’re planning to get groceries for your lake picnic the following day, keep in mind the fridge was not plugged in luckily we checked immediately after we got into the room. Wi-Fi pretty much nonexistent. Took forever to connect, and very spotty if you got lucky and got in. No shower door and the shower glass leaked. Had to use our towels to stop the water flowing outside

Nice location, good rooms, but: Not possible to pay with card, staff did not understand this problem, had to go to ATM with car. No customer service, we order one beer, and was planning to eat, staff were chatting with each other instead of serving us, we went and had a very nice dinner at neighbour hotel instead for 700 HRK. With staff that worked for the customers, this place could make tonnes of money and also get better feedback.

Great hotel. But would be better if you accept credit card. Now we had to drive to a nearby ATM to get cash.

I liked how friendly the stuff was, the room was very clean and tidy, everything was great. The pool wasnt open yet, but the surrounding of the house is pretty. The breakfast was also good. All in all, I recommend staying there.

Cons: The property advertised a shuttle bus service, but on arrival they said they didn't offer it. You have to pay 20 euros for the sauna. The WiFi in our room was non existent. Pros: the breakfast was nice and the location was only half an hour walk away from the lakes

Good location, cute rooms

Super clean, nice blend of rustic and modern decor. The family that runs the place is so friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back; they are located about 7 minutes down the road from Plitvice Lakes National Park.

It’s right in the Plitvicka Jezera National Park, making it very convenient to visit the park early in the morning to avoid the crowds from tourist groups. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. However, the staff was not service oriented or friendly. When my wife asked them to replace a glass with broken edge, they were very reluctant to do so.

The Swiss styled buildings and rooms were charming. The staff were pleasant and in particular the dark haired young lady was bubbly natured and smiled at us 😀 unusual in hotels In Croatia!

A pleasure to stay at Plitvice Etno House. A lovely family run business, kept in immaculate condition. The dinners are a lovely homely touch to an outdoor day. Breakfast was great.Although there is little around except the beautiful National Park, Etno House is all encompassing of their guests needs. Highly recommended.

Beautiful hotel incredibly close to the national park. Really no need to stay at the national park as you can drive within minutes from here. Polite staff, good selection for breakfast and beautiful rooms. Also a swimming pool but we didnt get to use it as it was raining when we were there.Only one improvement, the hotel only accepts payment in cash so recommend that you visit the local ATMs if needed. Would be useful if the hotel could get a card reader.

A fair bit of money looks to have been spent here. Lovely marble floors. Everything clean, good beds and shower. There are very pleasant areas on different levels around the pool to sit. It is about 10 min drive to Plitvice Lakes entrance 2. Food was pretty good if a tad uninspired, but there is not a lot of option is this area, especially if you dont have a car or like a drink. There is a pretty OK pizza place in walking distance, but if you are going to walk, take a torch. Definitely a very good choice to stay for visiting the lakes, which are unique and stunning
