Friendly staff , clean rooms . Enjoy the inn and surrounding area. They also have mini golf!!

This is a nice newly remodeled inn in the heart of Canaan Valley. The room was spacious with a microwave, refrigerator and desk/chair. The sink/vanity area is conveniently separated from the bathroom (shower/toilet). The desk staff was welcoming and helpful. The continental breakfast is grab and go, meaning limited options. You will most likely end up also eating breakfast out as I did. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is due to the noise level. The rooms and hallways are not carpeted. And while it is nice new vinyl flooring, it makes for loud footsteps both in the hallway and in the rooms above. I could hear every step taken by the guests in the room above me. I was there during the off season and I can imagine the noise level would be even higher when the rooms are full with families. The front desk staff did tell me that they are still working on sound proofing and if that happens, I would easily give 5 stars. I do highly recommend this Inn if you're looking for a simple, clean and reasonably priced place to stay with updated accommodations. A plus is the miniature golf course on site, convenience store with gasoline across the street, and an extra sense of safety with a fire department across the street as well.

The Inn of Canaan is close to Blackwater falls area. It appears to be a new inn. Breakfast is a grab and go. Mini golf on property. A nice BBQ restaurant near by. Very nice location.

The noise was so loud here. It was ridiculous!! The staff beat and banged all night and in the morning they were slamming things around. The room above us, they stomped and ran around all night. We won’t be back!

Everything we needed or requested was supplied right away. Staff was super nice and helped us with a few trip ideas upon arrival. Will definitely keep in mind for future trips in the area!

Nice clean update room. Nice putt putt $12 a person. We arrived around 830pm all the restaurants around close at 9pm. Not much offered for breakfast went across street to gas station not much there either. Close to blackwater falls state park 10min drive i think it was.

Good proximity to Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley NWR ... room was a good sleeping set-up, but would have been a bit cramped if the weather turned on us. Overall very good; would return.

The room was nice and comfortable and staff friendly People up above us were very noisy stomping and running across the room until after midnight keeping us awake due to the wood floors

Super clean and updated, modern interior. Very comfortable and was more than we were expecting. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

The hotel seems to have been recently renovated, or built, inside and out. It was very clean and the staff were great. We stayed two days while checking out some local trails and shops and had a wonderful experience

We stayed here second year in a row with our pups. Great location close to food and everything we want to do. Staff was very friendly. We love Canaan Valley and the Inn at Canaan! Will definitely be back.

Need to update ice maker. Too small to service guests. Room was very nice!! Would stay here again. Breakfast was very minimal for the cost of a nightly stay. Need to upgrade. There was NO hot food...barely a continental breakfast. It seems air conditioning is being installed. That will be a tremendous plus!!! Very warm and humid during our stay. Thank goodness for fans!!

Very clean and staff was very friendly.

Claims to be pet friendly and upon check in was changed extra 100.00 dollars for our dog. Did not say anything about a extra charge on website.

The dispensers for soap and shampoo were not installed.

This place is in the middle of tons of hiking. Perfect getaway.

The website said nothing about the high pet fee, and we were not told this when we made the reservation (they knew we had dogs). I don't remember what they told us, but I would never have agreed to pay that. A manager could not be reached, so we had to get back in the car at 10 pm in the rain to look for something else.

Dog friendly, but cannot leave dog alone and in room at any time. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room was clean and decently sized. Breakfast was basic muffins and cereal.

Unfortunately the bed linens reeked of BO.
