One night stay, great location to the beach, walk to the beach. Older room with kitchenette, but very useable. Will go back.

This was one of the cleanest hotels we’ve ever stayed at. We respect there are rules and there’s no room for not following them. We loved the retro feel of the room/motor Inn. Location cannot be beat. We will definitely be back.

The room was... just ok clean ... however it was severely dated, with very old bedding that had a semi-comfortable foam topper. Of importance, the room smelled terrible. I cannot say I was given a good welcome, considering there was only one other car in the entire place on what is prime season. The fact that I did not have a vaccination card available to the owner was in itself annoying. I was not given prior notice to provide this. Also of note, every single window was left unlocked, and the "kitchen window" had see-thru curtains. I will not return.

Wonderful greeting by the owner! Very clean and well kept! Rainy but comfy enough to stay warm and dry inside!!

terrible place to stay. very outdated, musty mold smell, as soon as i walked in i could smell it. owner is rude. he told us he doesn’t wash the sheets. he has cameras EVERYWHERE. owner called the cops on me and told them we stole a blanket, then found the blanket in his hamper. (why would i want his dirty yellow blanket? lol) don’t waste your time and money staying there.

Odd long table with STICKS to awkwardly push a little plate back and forth during check in. Extra fees charged during check in for parking a 2nd car and having a 3rd person in a room that sleeps 4..... i would understand if it were booked up, but the place had MAYBE 2 other rooms in use. The 2nd car was to be out of the lot by 11am or I would incur a 2nd charge for parking. Owner is for sure a micro-manager, little sticker signs everywhere saying what you can and cannot do. Down to one in the bathroom saying how he wants the shower curtain positioned. Very specific on which spot to park in an EMPTY lot. There was a channel on the TV in the room linked to the security camera outside. The whole thing was just weird and uncomfortable, I've stayed in A LOT of rooms and this is the only one I have ever made point to leave a negative review on. Very disappointed. Children only allowed in certain rooms, others are labeled as adult only. Do NOT stay here if you are a smoker. The sole owner and only employee is absurd about it and you must walk all the way off the property to smoke. He asks multiple times during check in if all members of the party are nonsmokers. York beach is amazing, this hotel was not. Pay the little bit of extra money to stay at one of the many many other beautiful beachfront properties.

Our stay was very peaceful and quiet. Gary does a superb job and is a very happy and knowledgeable gentleman to this business of making sure safety and cleanliness is where its at!

Worst experience of all the places we stayed on a 10 day road trip. Person checking us in was rude (he may be the owner?) He made us feel like he suspected us to rip him off or destroy the property, not as high paying GUESTS (we over paid for this awful night - $200 for the night). Had to sign papers indicating we wouldn't have guests, firearms, pets and wouldn't smoke. (possibly also agreed we wouldn't drink, but don't remember the 5th item on list) We were on the first floor. The walls and ceilings are so thin, we could hear every step from the guests staying in the room above us. Didn't get much sleep. The outside of property is cute. The room did have a tiny sink, stove, fridge (about 4 ft wide area), dishes and a little table. That stuff was cute, we didn't need it, but if we did, could have been nice to have. Curtains in that area were paper thin, we had to use towels to get privacy. Speaking of towels, the "bath" towels were just a weeee bit larger than a hand towel. The wash clothes were very hard, like getting exfoliating during shower. TV got a couple of stations (like 5) and kept cutting out, maybe it was a streaming service. Internet was mega slow. No fault of the property, but worthy of noting is that cell service is very weak at this location. We will never stay at this location again. Absolutely worst experience of our east coast road trip.

Would not stay here again, room smelled musty, ceiling fan over bed did not work, had no guide for channels on TV, owner was different, not real friendly. We smoke and he had us write we will not smoke on the property, fill out a form with address and all info. Really! Maine law is 20ft from entrance and hotels can make there own decision, which he blamed it all on state of Maine, not true, anchorage motel you could smoke in the lawn chairs. So he lies. He made us walk off property. Room is 1940's decor, old old old and smelled it. $200 for one night. To off.

The proximity to the beach and to the town is perfect. The accommodations are a mix of vintage 1970’s decor and entry level updates. Details such as linens and television could use a significant lift.

not much to like room was subpar linens were awful- room while reasonably clean was pretty old- for the cost it was way below expected condition. find another place.

Gary owns and runs the place and was super sweet and accommodating. Always available to assist and always very friendly. The place was a little dated but was clean and the pool was nice.

Great location - right across from the beach. Very clean! Nice heated pool. Excellent outdoor spaces - fire pit, swing, eating area with views of the beach.
