Place could use some renovations and upgrade

The property was nice but needed upgrading and not convenient for senior with handicap issues

Upon reservation on website the photos did not match up to their actual property when we arrived. When we checked in, they required a credit card. We provided one and they hand written the number on a piece of paper which could have been accessible to anyone at any given time, being there was not always someone at the front desk. We did reserve online with the understanding that the property was up to standards as per website description and photos of the property. We checked in and went down to the pool area, the sauna was out of order and looked like it has been out of order for a while based on its condition. We inquired and were informed the sauna was down for a few years. The pool area wasn’t overly clean, the smell of chlorine was not noticeable. There was algae along the deck of the pool. Our room was “stayable” but had many questionable things. Doors were barely on hinges and scraped across floor hard when closing. The sink faucet was very loose and would turn the entire base. The wall plugs were very used and things plugged in wouldn’t stay completely plugged in and not charge some of our electronics. The bathroom tile work was really poor and full tiles had grout and caulk all over the face. The carpet in hallways was not vacuumed for the 3 days we were there and noticeably dirty. The breakfast was poor, all carbs. No fruit, no sort of meat, eggs were hit or miss. Based on the price for this property, i would not recommend or reserve this property again.

I really liked the location of the Dutch Inn and I liked how we had housekeeping every day. The staff were very friendly and helpful :) The laundry services were good though its basement location was a little sketchy. We appreciated that we could get laundry change and detergent at the front desk. We didn't use the pool since it wasn't being cleaned regularly. The breakfast was okay, not very colourful: lots of carbs (bread for toast, mini croissants, small muffins/donuts/cinnamon rolls/two-bite brownies, hashbrowns) with over-hard eggs, yogurt, and coffee/caffeinated tea/apple juice/orange juice/water/milk. The room was clean and well-maintained, with a kitchenette and full-sized washroom, and LOTS of towels. We would stay here again, though I'd buy myself extra colourful breakfast food at the grocery store to go along with the beige breakfast, and I wouldn't expect to use the pool next time.

Our stay was pleasant. Staff was very helpful and courteous. The room could use a little tlc but was definitely satisfactory. I would stay again!

Clean cozy place to stay for a night or two. We had a standard suite, came with a kitchenette type thing which was nice. We only stayed for one night but would consider staying again.

Internet went out every night and only worked both mornings after we complained. The second morning the breakfast was cold and the hash browns were not cooked and barely unfrozen.

Great staff and unique building

Moldy musty smell in the room.mold around bath tub. TV the size of a laptop. No real cable stations of any kind. Very limited breakfast. Very noisy bathroom fan. Would not recommend!

The staff were very pleasant, the place was nice, clean and quiet, always had parking close to our room.

Fair for the price, but not the most comfortable accommodation.

The hotel is a bit dated. We are happy with the staff they are very friendly. Breakfast is good, they even gave some fresh blueberries, something we don’t get from other hotels.

This property needs a lot of work. Arrived at 6pm room was not ready till 8:30.

It was perfect for our needs. Two bedrooms, large living area to put two cots and air conditioning. The breakfast included was good. The staff very friendly. The indoor pool area was amazing.

Clean, comfy beds, staff is very helpful and friendly. Wifi is not great, but good place to stay for a short visit.

The pull out couch had a dirty sock and compress in the sheets and the bathroom smell strong of urine.

We had an issue with the bed the first tonight and the staff replaced it. Great customer service

My favourite part about this property was the view of the cows every breakfast!

Accessibility is good, but the facilities are old and upstairs has wooden floors, so I can hear very load movement late at night.

A hidden gem. Good location. Fast & Friendly staff. Breakfast was more than expected. About a 15 min drive to downtown.

It seems the owners have recently purchased and are trying to renovate. However the work in the property went into the evening and early in the morning. Location is good and will probably be okay once the Reno’s are completed

Overall a good stay but the room is quite old and the place needs an update. But the staff were kind and actually the bed was really comfortable

The property is operated by a family, and they were most helpful. For us, it was a very clean and quiet place in Cornwall, PEI. It was central to our needs, and we only used it for sleeping after good days of touring the Island and it's many sites.

This property is on the old side but has been getting some upgrades. The price is adequate. We had some loud young kids a few doors away that were loud up until 10:00. We were trying to sleep as we were getting up early so the noise didn't help.

This place has been around for a long time. Has a History on PEI, one that many I’d say most people are fond of. We were in the off season which we understand. Bring back the lounge, people on vacation want at least the option, no need to drive for a drink etc. I will say the room was dated but very clean. Woman at front desk was super polite which we expected, but it’s also awesome when you encounter a positive person!

Very happy with the stay, mew floors in our room place appears to be hndergoing a revitalization. Very clean. Excellent service and very friendly. Was a bit noisy but it was also full of teenage hockey players.

An older Hotel, conveniently located for our needs, unfortunately the Hotel is older, has not been updated or renovated in MANY years. Seems to be used for long term stay more than overnight stays, and the pool was basically unavailable for us as the desk clerk said it was leased for private Swimming Lessons during all the hours it was open. We were slightly disappointed this information was not available on Hotels.com
