Perfect location near both ferry terminals on a wonderful street. Walk to anywhere in town. Room was a little tight, but there are comfortable sitting areas inside and out.

A wonderful holiday was had with the sun shining and the inn clean and attractive. We had a wonderful time.

Very pleasant. Gail is super. She provided tons of good advice on restaurants and things to do.

The innkeeper was very sweet. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The inn itself is nestled in a ln older home so you could hear the other guests. Some rooms share a bathroom so just read the description before booking. Ours was private which was nice. Great location to shops/ restaurants

Loved that the room had a private bathroom and that the breakfast area was on the same floor. Lots of good options to eat, also. The decor was adorable while keeping with a "Nantucket" feel.

Great location, walking distance from the Steamship Authority and downtown Nantucket. Came out for a Christmas party will definitely stay again next year.

The Periwinkle Inn is close to EVERYTHING in town, and the innkeeper and staff were incredibly nice and considerate. The only room available for my family of three when I booked was a room with a shared bathroom. Do not be deterred by this! The toilet and shower are in separate rooms, and we never crossed paths with the other room's occupants, with whom we were to share, and the place was booked solid! It was evident the shared bathrooms and common areas were cleaned frequently. We would certainly stay here again! Thank you, Periwinkle Inn!

I loved this place. The innkeeper told me that my room was the smallest room on the Island. I LOVED LOVED LOVED my tiny room. Best stay in a while. Tiny Rooms are my thing I guess!!

So friendly, extremely accommodating, personable, there to answer all your questions and the Inn is beautiful! Clean, Quiet...great beds...will definitely be back! loved EVERYTHING!

The stay was great but felt very unsafe. The front door stayed open all day and all night. It led to the street. And the bathroom door to share did not lock so i felt that anyone off the street could be hiding or attack a guest, me in particular. The guest that i had to share bathroom with were disgusting... but overall the inn was wonderful and clean, pleasant inn keeper.

Nice place. Quiet and had all I needed for my 1-night stay.

I was disappointed with this property. My room was small and dark. The bathroom was literally 4 feet by 3 feet. This place is unbelievably overpriced. No one is there when you check in. I would not stay here again.

We had a good time. Periwinkle was reasonably priced but people should know that the room was small and the bathroom micro. However I would recommend this Inn to others looking to stay in the area

Our stay at the Periwinkle was very good! It was a very short walk to many of the best restaurants and night life nantucket has to offer. It’s early checkin and storage space for guests who are leaving the island later than checkout time was also extremely accommodating. I definitely appreciated that we could still stop in after checkout to use the guest restroom if need be. Our room was comfortable and secure, the private in-room bathroom was relieving! AC and Heat both worked! The room was clean, thanks to the wonderful Sonja! I definitely appreciated the offerings left out in the mornings for light fare and drink. Uber and taxi were both easily able to be found making any trip out of town to the outskirts of the island easy and affordable. I do recommend that you take a look at restaurants and activities prior to booking your trip to the periwinkle, as the off season for nantucket can leave many restaurants and businesses closed and shuttered for the winter months and the periwinkle Cancelation policy favors the periwinkle greater than it does the customer. Likely for this reason.

This is a nice New England house, but two issues make it a less than ideal stay. First, they have crammed a king-sized bed with mattresses so tall that I had to launch myself and dive onto the bed (I'm 5'4") in a room barely larger than the bed. The bathroom, likewise, is so tight that someone of large girth would have trouble fitting. The most disappointing aspect, though, was the vending-machine style packaged pastries offered for breakfast fare. There were grocery-store English muffins and raisin bread, too. Unripe apples, but the bananas and clementines were fine. Plenty of juices, but in tiny plastic throwaway bottles. Also Keurig cups, but at least offered china mugs and dishes and real flatware. Overall, for the sky-high price, I expected better.

You couldn't ask for a better situated location for enjoying the shops, restaurants, and history of Nantucket town or as a base of operation for our biking adventures! The host was very friendly and helpful, the room pleasing, the garden lovely for enjoying breakfast or star gazing in the evening.

We loved the Periwinkle property! It’s location to the ferry, downtown, restaurants, and the beach was perfect. Just steps away from the fun - we will be back!
