I loved the lady at checkin! She was so friendly. I didn’t grab her name but do know we share the same year of birth being 1976. Ive never been to any place where the staff are this nice! Keep it up!

Lovely hostel, friendly staff, just minimal parking.

Stayed overnight on a tandem Lands End to John O Groats ride. Room was clean enough but facilities very limited. No towels in room (hire for extra cost). Noisy with other guests upstairs. No food available. Expensive for a bed only but staff very friendly and helpful. Good selection of places to eat nearby.

Easy stopover as I was writing around the Mendips on my bike. Free car parking easy walk to town couldn’t ask for more. They also have a free bike lock up if you are just rude there

Clean, perfectly positioned hostel to explore surrounding area. Rear views over Mendips. Garden and storage available for bikes. Light and airy dining room extension. Packed lunches available. Would recommend and hopefully will revisit when next in the area.

Great facilities, quiet location but yet centre of Cheddar is a few minutes walk away.

this was convenient to stay since start of all organised walks were from the school next door. Although a 'twin room' was booked, would have preferred 2 beds, and not a bunkbed; however only 2 night break so ok. Thought the communal area was quite small,especially if a lot of families with children staying, it became quite crowded

Even though I booked well in advance and there was a staff member on the premises I was not allowed in until 5pm , which was a bit late when I had driven for several hours . The room was clean and ok but the walls very thin and a loud male guest was f-ing and blinding on the phone for ages and slamming around . Also , unfortunately ,it was a windy day and most of the bedroom doors rattled very noisily in their frames all night . I could even hear that with earplugs in ! Please do something about the rattling ie stick some of that foam door insulation around the frame to tighten it up . It`s awful and I didn`t get much sleep .

I understand that it is a hostel but i found that the room was very old and shabby looking, the bed was far to short in length and the quilt was so small we had to use too just to cover us. I also for that for the price we paid £99 for two nights including breakfast was far to expensive and we could of found a proper hotel for just the same price if not less , i was very disappointed with this accommodation.
