Upon checking in, I was informed my room had no windows. (The hotel reception stated this was on Expedia. It was in very fine print at the bottom) Imagine flying from the USA to Boracay island to be put in a dark, dungeon room with no view of the island sun. A major disappointment for the price of this hotel. My vacation has been ruined.

Wasn’t crazy about the interior room but it was roomy and clean.

Like the location

Perfectly located right on the beach near all the restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Absolutely perfect location! Staff was so friendly and helpful. Hotel and rooms were very clean. Some disrepair in the room, my room window looked at a wall and the bed could have been more comfortable. Breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of options. Over all very happy with my stay at Astoria Current. Couldn’t ask for a better location.

Beachfront

The property in General was good, the only thing that concerned me was the Bathtub which didn't served the purpose and was very inconvenient for my Mom to get in and out to shower because of the height.

Amazing place for vacation stays.

Very beautiful and secure hotel. You get bombarded from all tour agents and restaurant reps as soon as you step off property on to beach walk way. But hotel provides a little protection from that.

The Astoria Current is for sure a good Hotel, but not excellent. There are too many, maybe minor details which should be improved. No cabinet for cloth is not an option when you stay for a week. Two Queen size beds is un necessary for two people. The second bed even blocks the door and the light switch to the CR. A second chair and a table to sit would make much more sense instead. The air ventilation does not work. Cloth became damp. The room was equipped with kettle, microwave and sink, but no plates, cuttlery or a bowl.

I picked the Astoria Current hotel based on the reviews, and curious why it has the highest rating hotel in Boracay. When i came in, i was hesitant, the hotel lobby is at the back of the hotel, the road is narrow. But when we enter the facility there were two pools, they provide towels and has life guard stationed. the place is nice and the people are very friendly. The size of the room is not what i expected but it is descent and clean. The hotel is really near the beach and theres a lot of stores around, also a lot of bars and lounges, it’s a one stop shop. The people in the Citrine Lounge (shout out to Kevin, Reynan, rea, tom and iya)) has the superb service, you can ask them anything and they will try their best to provide each request. You can sing on their karaoke from 5-10 and enjoy their live acoustic on the Parasol buffet dining. We also witness the fire dance. It is really one of the best vacation. If i will come back to Boracay, i will definitely come back to Astoria. Now i know why the rating is 5.0. It’s too good to be true but yes, the rating is true, 5 stars is really what they deserve.

I like the fact it’s so close to the beach The food was delicious, friendly staff Time share Rep Lloyd was friendly, courteous & kind…fire dancing entertainment was good…swimming pool was great & hotel structure was beautiful I don’t like the bath tub because it’s too high to climb in & out of the tub…dangerous for senior citizens & small children

This is not, most definitely not a 5 star hotel....it's a 3 star at best. Expect a cacophony of loud noises night and day.

Hallways were noisy, no soundproof, so when people came back from the beach at 3am, woke everyone up. Get location, beds are comfortable, slept well. Staff are amazing and helpful Thought the buffet breakfast was more like a brunch, as soup, chicken etc are more like lunch

Astoria was in a great location for exploring. Everything we needed was right there. Food was great, service was great.

Bar staff is fantastic and the hotel is in a great location on a gorgeous beach. Walkable to all three stations. Our only issue was going through three safes in our room. Idk what the problem was but finally got one that worked on day 3. Also, Idk if needing ice is not a big thing here but we had to call for ice several times a day and sometimes it took 30 min or more to get it. Or it never came at all and we had to call multiple times.

Astoria transfer service was very efficient and hassle free. The front desk staff, bellboys (kuya andy), room and laundry service, pool attendants were friendly, courteous and helpful. We felt safe because of the high presence of security personnel and the lifeguards by the pool. the housekeeping kept the area around the pool dry as much as possible despite the rains. The spa service was able to accommodate my 7 year old and he highly approves and recommends the full body massage. Last but not the least kudos to the restaurant staffs especially Kevin for the great service and good food.

Hotel has two nice pools, nice restaurant, great breakfast, friendly staff and clean facilities. But our room had no window so no natural light. It was in the corner at the end of a long hallway so it was echo-y and we could hear all the noise from the hallway. During our 4 days stay the door handle broke, the door blind chain broke and the fridge broke down but the hotel quickly responded and fixed it. Location (stn 3) of hotel is not central so we had to catch a ride everyday to the central area (stn 2). We purchased the transportation to and from the airport and they did an excellent job.

The staffs were lovely and very helpful. Shoutout to Gino Desales he was very helpful and always welcoming. The property is beachfront and we were able to enjoy swimming a lot. You'll feel safe too because the Police post is by the hotel.

After a room allocation issue was resolved the rest of our stay was as enjoyable as ever. We regularly stay at Astoria Current and highly recommend it to all our friends. All the staff we encounter provide a high level of service with a friendly smile. The F&B staff are probably the best ambassadors for the hotel. Do yourselves a favor and stay at the Astoria Current when visiting Boracay.

Great place

The staff here was top notch. They were very welcoming and eager to help. The food for the breakfast was amazing and there were really great options for lunch and dinner. The rooms were very clean and great air conditioning. I will definitely stay here again!

Our stay was great. Everyone was so friendly to us and the mango shakes were amazing. We’d like to thank Nelle, Kevin and Oscar, just to name a few, for making us feel so welcome, we can’t wait to come back!

The staff here is very nice. Michael did a wonderful job getting us checked in, and also made sure my friend received a cake for her birthday. The room was clean, the view is nice to the pool, and I loved the breakfast that they serve in the morning. Very enjoyable!! I would definitely stay again because it’s close to everything!!!

We have a mixed opinion.....the staff is very nice and friendly, and the location is great.....but......we arrived early morning, and even though the hotel was half full, they gave us the room at 2 pm and at breakfast, no bacon and no fruit juice

We always are made to feel welcome by the staff of the hotel. The rooms are spacious and the property is well maintained. We would have no problem recommending it to travelers.
