It provided a very quiet and efficient nights stay, nice meal in the evening, good breakfast very clean room and two green and blacks chocolates in the room ☺️

Overall a good stay and the room was clean, but would suggest water in the room and also my milk, etc wasnt repleneshed on day 2. Good food in the pub and all staff are very pleasant.

Everything is gorgeous. Quiet, maximum cleanliness, very kind staff.

From the minute I arrived the staff were great in the hotel area Jo’s team were amazing.the room was lovely and cleaned well. The food and staff at the pub were good too. Recommend as great place to stay.

We stayed here the night before a wedding in nearby Higher Ongar. When I walked into the room I was a little disappointed to find it one of the darkest rooms I have ever stayed in! It had really dim lightbulbs, the ceiling one looked to be almost red, a large tree outside the window blocked the light and view, and black net curtains! In the morning I had heck of a job putting on my make up. I wear glasses and there was no magnifying mirror anywhere so I was applying it almost blind. My husband said I looked fine but I wondered if I looked like the mortician made me up when I stepped into the light! The breakfast was fine, good selection of items and a cooked plate. We loved the outdoor seating as well. The weather was dry and warm and sitting outside after a long drive was lovely. Coming from Devon the price of drinks was a bit of a shock though! The ladies on reception were lovely, very helpful and friendly.

Rooms are very cosy and the staff is also very polite. The restaurant is experiencing was also very nice, strongly recommend.

I used to l8ve next door, so it is always a pleasure to be close to home when I am back in England. Best bangers and mash I have ever had, in the restaurant.

The property is delightful it’s a very well and tastefully refurbished old Inn in Old Harlow with all the original oak Timbers exposed stone flooring Wood fire so full of atmosphere There is a recently build accommodation block again charmingly furnished with very comfortable rooms situated in a peaceful rural spot

My partner and I stayed for the weekend. We had dinner in the pub on Friday which was so nice. The room was spacious and I loved the decor. It was clean and very comfortable. Lovely selection of teas and coffees and even biscuits and a chocolate. Good Wi-Fi reception. Good water pressure in the shower. Everything was perfect. We’ll definitely stay again.

Lovely village type hotel - Room was excellent and it has a pub / restaurant attached which was very nice and friendly.

Great hotel & room cheaper than the local holiday Inn express and so much better. Very friendly staff. Quiet, Super comfy bed, lovely shower. Pub grub next door was amazing. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic place to stay, very friendly staff and excellent food in the restaurant. You even get the little chocolates. Nice touch for a self confessed chocoholic.

The room at the hotel was really nice and clean - and very comfortable indeed, however, the food and service in the pub were not so good - its been a while i've come across such an insincere waitress - and the good was no better the a transport cafe.......very disappointing

The bar restaurant was lovely and very friendly and great atmosphere but the service at the hotel wasn’t great to be honest and the room was dangerously hot and when we said about it we got told to open a window and give it a while and the bar had shut and we asked if maybe we could get a bottle of Prosecco to our room it was made clear and slightly rude there was no chance
