Friendly no frills hotel, perfect for a quick sightseeing or fishing trip, nice Mexican food less than a block away.

We stay at El Rancho every time and are never disappointed. Super clean, friendly welcoming owners, nice amenities. You can't go wrong!

Very functional- fridge/microwave, comfortable for the 4 of us. Away from the road so it’s quiet.

The room was clean and comfortable but there was always a group of people standing outside smoking. You couldn't spend any time outside without being in the middle of the smoke. When we were packing up our car to leave, the housekeeper stood outside our door blowing smoke all over our stuff. If you don't smoke, this probably isn't the motel for you.

Nice, simple place to stay. The owners were friendly and receptive. They even had towels for us to go to the hot springs. The room was clean and simple. Only small challenge was the poor AC unit struggled to keep it cool but it could have been way worse.

They say they accept dogs. The caviat is they dont allow you to leave them in the room unattended, even in a kennel. I was told this is because they "wreck the rooms" I was told by the front desk staff that I should leave them in the car if I left the room. It is summer and extremely hot out. We ended up going elsewhere. Dont say youre dog friendly if you just want the extra money for a pet fee, but not actual be a good and safe accommodation for people with pets.

Plain jane motel. No ice, frig wasn't cold, no kleenex.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The gravel in the parking lot was a little hard to navigate with a motorcycle. Only complaint was no ice. Would stay ago for the price.

This is a sweet motel with very kind management. It doesn't look like much from the road but the rooms have been recently remodeled and are comfortable and cozy. There is also a pretty patio area where you can sit and take in the view. The family that run the hotel are helpful and nice and they are apparently doing a lot of work on the place to make it even better. We will definitely stay here again if we make it back to Thermopolis.

The owner of the property was very kind and responsive when we needed things. She is updating the property, which is great, but it would have been nice to know that they were going to be spray painting the building the day we were there and we would not be able to park by the room in the middle.of the day. It also made it difficult to know when we could leave. The frames on the beds are metal, which was an issue on the smaller bed hecauae rhe frame is larger than the mattress and my son knocked his shin on it a couple of times. Putting the corner protectors on it would save many shins in the future. That bed also had a piece of plywood under the mattress, instead of a box spring, which is fine except that it made the mattres slide around the frame any time it was bumped or weight was shifted when on the bed. It was close to the hot springs state park and i would stay here again.

The El Rancho in Thermopolis is a hidden jem. I have stayed twice and plan on many more stays. Its very clean and quiet. Owners are so friendly and accommodating. Best place ever!!

We had booked a 2 bed but due to a mixup, our room was not available on late arrival. The manager was able to get us a 1 bed and a cot. While this was not ideal for the person on the cot, she did compensate us and I appreciate it. Overall, the room itself was very charming and very clean. We will stay again if passing through in the future.

Room was not cleaned very well. Had leftover stuff from others. Need to clean better. The room has to much stuff to close together. Not enough room for walk way.

The check in was chaotic and I got a call at 10pm after I was asleep asking if we were going to arrive. The room had the faint odor of smoke, but it was clean and very spacious.

Extremely friendly service. Manager is on premises and extremely responsive, polite, and friendly. Interior rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. We travelled up for a weekend fromthe Denver metro atea and stayed for two nights and everything about this motel exceeded my expectations.

Clean. Frig with freezer. no breakfast. ok air. bed ok. Everything plugged in. No shelf in shower .
