The access to our very own private pool was the icing on a perfect stay at The Samata.

The Samata is a brilliant choice for those looking for a little quiet time out with its charming and laid back vibe. It was at full capacity on some days and yet quiet and peaceful! I love that you can be as social or as private as you like here. The ocean and rice fields make for a charming view- ask for the Ocean View Suite on the top floor to get the most of it. But best, it is located in Sanur so central to all the different tourist sites and places. You will need to drive/ cab it from here rather than be able to walk to these. But apps like Grab keep thungs convenient and well within your budget. The restaurant serves a decent selection at great prices (I saw restaurants across Bali charging way more than room service here!). Food is delicious and healthy. Great place and wonderful staff. Gentle and kind, and always with an answer to your next question about Bali. Perfect place to rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit.

I stood here for one night and absolutely loved it. The staff were so friendly and polite, and helped me carry my bags upstairs. They also asked me the night before what I would like for breakfast, and if I wanted it taken up to my room, as well as what time. (And the breakfast was delicious). The bathroom amenities were a nice touch, as I got an all natural bar of soup which smelled wonderful, as well as herbs for a bath soak, and other things available upon request (comb, toothbrush..etc). The room was very beautiful and clean, with great air conditioning. The only negatives are that the location is off of a main busy highway street (can’t grab a cab easily) and although I had a good nights rest, the bed is a little hard for my liking. Other than these things, my stay was amazing.

Enjoyed my stay very much can’t wait to go again.

This is a five star review with one negative which had little to do with the facility. The villas were amazing, quiet and clean. The pools were great with hardly anyone else using them. Staff are a stand out, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. The food is superb. The only down side is the distance from Sanur and lack of eating places nearby. Taxi was up to forty minutes due mainly to the new port access. That is our bad not the resort. Overall I can’t fault the resort, facilities or staff. We had an amazing time.

I traveled here alone and the place was very safe. The staff was very helpful. I got the best massage. I wish I could have stayed longer.

First and foremost, adored the staff! They were extremely attentive and personable. The villa was open air concept and comfortable. Clean to perfection. The fitness center was out of this world, had everything. The tennis court was private so no onlooker’s could stop and stare, and decent. Not in the greatest shape but got the job done, and, we fixed the net that was gapping at the top. Food from the restaurant was fresh and fabulous, we’ve basically had everything on the menu and was completely satisfied with it.

This hotel is located far from the noisy part of Denpasar. It’s kind of hidden, very quiet, clean, and very beautiful. The rooms are very spacious. And the staff was very friendly. I almost forgot to mention that the food was great. This hotel is perfect for people who really want a very relaxing and quite getaway place.

The staff is very friendly and the property and rooms are clean. We booked the two bedroom villa and got Villa 5 which wasn’t the best considering we stayed in Villa 6 previously. The privacy could be better with more plantings cause it feels like the living outdoor space the entire hotel staff and guest can see into the villa.

Literally the most loving team of brilliant humans that went out of their way to make our stay fabulous. We had the spa suite with the massage every day, super top quality massage also. Food was really clean and they were awesome at accommodating my vegan/gluten free diet. I would highly recommend staying here.

The Samata was amazing. You immediately feel the warmth and friendliness right when you check in. The pools were lovely, rooms were spacious, and the service is the best in the world. We got daily massages, which were unbelievably great. The restaurant/room service was the best we have had on this trip. I will only stay here when I visit Bali. Bonus: it’s not too far from the airport (unlike some hotels) and was the perfect location to get a head start of you do a day tour of the island. Book The Samata now!!!!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the SAMATA Villa Resort is! I had a beautiful full private villa. It had a beautiful Spa bathroom, living area, and a huge balcony overlooking the pool, rice paddy and ocean in the background. It was Very Quiet and immaculate. It’s a small private Resort with only about 7 Villas. It is for relaxing and enjoying the Bali Zen. The Staff of 8-9 only want to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. They are the kindest people I’ve met in BALI, and Bali is kind in general. The food was made to order, FRESH, and with great presentation. Every little detail at The SAMATA was well thought. They left me little notes daily, and always greeted me when I returned with honest warmth. They gave me rides to Sanur Beach, and they were waiting for me at the airport when I arrived. It was a wonderful start to my busy vacation. I stayed there so I could take the boats on day trips to the Island of Nusa Penida and Lombardon. The boats leave from SANUR Beach and many people travel 1-2hrs to get there. I missed the SAMATA and the Staff that are Family the day I left. I will continue to go visit them as often as possible.

I loved everything about the place. The ratings weren’t lying. This place is amazing. The ambience was so relaxing, the staff are dedicated and were like friends you can just be comfortable around and talk to, the food was easily the best i’ve had in my whole stay in Bali, and we even got an upgrade from our villa to a bigger one, can’t say no to that.

Beautiful, calming hotel with nice pools, plenty of space, restaurant with good food and I loved my morning yoga class with Bagus.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff! We enjoyed the included massages, and the fantastic gym. Rather outside of Sanur, but they offer free shuttle if you really want to go there. The on site restaurant ist not cheap, but they offer really good and healthy food worth the money. Breakfast a la carte was very good, too. We will come back, Lisa and your team. :-)

Overall experience was good! Although we found it contradictory when they tried to promote health and well being by creating awareness with note indicating high sugar level and danger of soda consumption leading to Diabetes types II, yet they provide free full sugar soda in our fridges

Great amenities and hidden gem! Have a look and consider this place if staying in Bali. The villas are spectacular with spacious and comfortable rooms. Airport transfers are included! A three course breakfast is included! Healthy menu options comprise much of the menu. You can eat in your villa or at the restaurant! The gym and wellness program offers wellness retreat options, if you choose. The staff and boutique size of this property make you feel very special. Highly recommend!

Everything about my stay was wonderful. In fact, this was one of the more unique resorts I have stayed at as their "wellness" theme and interest lived up to it's name.
