Beautiful mountain stream, secluded even though the hosts were close by.

We went to the Owls Perch for our anniversary trip. We will definitely be going back! It is the best place to unwind and unplug from the world. We enjoyed the ride into town each morning, the mountain views are amazing! Alice was the sweetest host! Everything was perfect!

This property is a hidden gem! It was so peaceful to be in the woods with the creek running below. The balcony & deck were wonderful to enjoy our surroundings.

If you are looking for a safe, clean, quiet spot to just relax and disconnect from the world- this is it! It is small but comfy and has everything you need except for internet-so unwind, walk, fish, just enjoy the sounds and sights of nature. The owners are so very kind and attentive. I will be back!

A quiet, peaceful stay in the beautiful Nantahala Mountains. If you want quiet and remoteness this is the place to be surrounded by forests with a mountain stream below the deck. The hosts are gracious and accommodating. My wife and I had a wonderful stay and look forward to our next trip.

While on a motorcycle road trip, I stayed for one night at the Owl’s Perch on September 28th. It is a charming private wood cabin adjacent to the house of the hosts, Doug and Alice. It is quite a unique and peaceful accommodation in Robbinsville, NC, 30 min from the city accessible through a beautiful winding road while being very close to scenic roads and scenery like the Dragon’s tail road. The cabin has a private balcony overlooking a beautiful stream. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Alice who was very kind and helpful with recommendations to nearby points of interest, and funny too I might add. I wish I could have stayed for more than one night to enjoy the immediate surroundings more, maybe even fishing. If you are looking for something different surrounded by beautiful natural scenery to disconnect from your usual routine, this is it. :)

We loved cooking all meals on the grill, the trout stream that runs through the property and the beauty of the place! Be prepared for biting bugs if they are attracted to you! I did come home with my arms and legs covered in them. I used bug repellent but after taking a shower and going back out on the porch… they got me good. Overall this is a gem!

It is an amazing place to stay. The details set the cabin apart. In the middle of the woods BUT a good time to spend time in the peace and quiet.

Owl's Perch is a perfect getaway for singles or couples seeking solitude from civilization. It's located in a remote (but populated) area. The place is small, but has every necessary creature comfort. We especially enjoyed the cleanliness of our little home. We spent much of our time on the deck enjoying the stream. Many natural areas are easy drives away. Your hosts are on site, attentive but never intrusive. Ours was a memorable stay. Dave & Laura

The creek was gorgeous! Loved going to sleep with the sound. The amount of hummingbirds was sooo fascinating to watch. Great accommodation and fantastic hosts! Highly recommend!😊😊

My husband and I stayed at Owl's Perch 3 nights ago and was delighted with stay! Loved the cabin, so cute, decorated so nicely, so CLEAN! Loved the setting! Gorgeous view from the deck. We had our mountain bikes with us and rode on the mountain roads near the cabin and LOVED it! So much fun! We also very much appreciated Alice, a superhost!, giving us great tips on where to go and what to do! She went above and beyond as a host! Thank you Alice! The brochures were very helpful!! We will be back!

Absolutely beautiful getaway from the stressors of life. No cell or data service made us finally put work aside and just be together. The hosts, Alice and Doug, were very friendly but gave us privacy to unwind. We spent almost every waking minute on the deck 💜 and the cabin had everything we could need. The ride in on our touring motorcycles was part of the fun but I wouldn't recommend taking a low slung bike on the "road" if you like your exhaust. A perfect place to relax and unwind. Thank you!

The hosts, Alice, Doug, and Skippy welcomed me and have a beautiful room / perch. If you're looking for something which can help to ground you somewhat from your busy life, this is the place to go.

after booking and paying my non refundable payment, i learned that the property is not accessible if one is riding a motorcycle. i, like many visitors to the area, are in fact riding a motorcycle. i think the owls perch should have made it clear that limitation rather than, stating it somewhere in the fine print. very disappointing experience for me.

Beautiful little cabin in the woods on the edge of a creek/river. Amazing views and the sounds of the water rushing were magnificent. Only 2 things could have made our stay better, the ability to stay longer, and better pillows.

Excellent get away, very relaxing atmosphere with running stream right by the cabin. Very clean and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. The gravel road to it is a bit rough but if you go slowly not to bad, and the cabin is well worth the drive. We enjoyed our time there very much.

This place is a little gem tucked away in the woods. Come here for a warm welcome and a very comfortable little cabin, surrounded by complete peace and quiet. Alice provided great local recommendations including the Cherohala Skyway which was fantastic.

Perfect spot for a cozy cabin experience if willing to plan a bit for food and driving adventures. But host is most helpful giving necessary information ahead of time, and random kitchen amenities are a huge plus. Gorgeous atmosphere and details add the personal touch not encountered often.

It's a bit of a drive on a one lane gravel drive but you are rewarded by a unique and comfortable cabin overlooking a pristine mountain stream. Our hosts were friendly and attentive while allowing us our privacy. Convenient to Joyce Kilmer Forest and the Cherohala Skyway.

We loved staying there. We were on a 6 day trip and this was our favorite place we stayed. Very clean, so peaceful, and the hostess was very sweet and was very helpful. My husband and I would defiantly stay there again if we are in the area.
