I like hubby- He try help a lot! Very polite, kind. I liked low price- don't mind if old- I'm old. Want clean & good mattress - it was okay for price. It was very noisy and guys were outside very late across the road- if lite sleeper, don't go! The heat kept shutting off and I wake cold, but I had to Self Pay for access to internet and I didn't know I wasn't getting calls or email until late night and my email voicemail & notifications all downloaded. I wasn't happy when I tried to play TV but password worked Next day I call, tell wife I don't mind TV not working but I cant stay more without wifi. She tell me when her hubby come he will fix and not to worry she won't charge b/c it not working. That lady is very difficult to understand her husband isn't. But it all went amuck she denied she said that but kept yelling at me- I had to move all my stuff to a new room that they said worked b/c its closer. Again, the husband very helpful but it took me a long long time to pack up then move all my stuff then unpack - From about 11 to 2pm. I had plans but when I went to see her, she denied she said. At first I was shocked but so tired I was just going to pay for the night I'm very ill, but she kept yelling at me and calling me a liar, so I told her I would take it up with Expedia and she got even more angry so even though I was extremely tired, I decided.."No! This isn't right!" So I moved all my things put in car & I left b4 I started shouting back- Warning Check room b4 u pay. NG

The place is poorly maintained. Dirt and bugs (both dead and live) everywhere. Carpet smelled and was extremely dirty. Bathroom door was damaged. Hair dryer was dangling from the wall, looks like it will fall anytime. Air conditioner is extremely noisy. Front lobby has a nasty smell. Owner doesn't even care to voluntarily change to new clean towels every day unless you ask for them. It's annoying that there is not even a hook for towels inside the shower corner, needless to say that no shampoo or conditioner is provided.

The room smelled awful. We had to have the window open to try and have wi-fi working but even then it did not work. The TV did not work The staff member that came to look at it said the technology was too advanced??!

The Economy Inn Ithaca met our expectations as a lower cost motel. The building is older. The sleeping/living area was clean. The beds were reasonably comfortable. Air conditioning worked well and helped to block road noise (motel is close to state highway). The bathroom was nicely cleaned and shower worked well. Overall, we had a good experience and would consider staying again.

Room was adequate. Clean enough. Air conditioner was very loud. Hard to sleep. Easy to get to Watkins Glen and downtown Ithaca.

This is what we were looking for. It was clean, quiet and the staff was friendly and helpful. The property is old, so don’t expect much there, but we would definitely stay there again for the price.

no internet access during staying

This was a very clean and comfortable older motel. However, the WiFi was not strong in our room.It kept dropping out. We also had some problems with the cable.

I really enjoyed my stay at Economy Inn. I just came to Ithaca to hike and the location between two state parks was super convenient. It was quiet and relaxing, just what I needed. The wifi was not that bad for me, it did turn off a few times, but I was able to connect again quickly. The pillows were also hard so i might suggest bringing your own. Overall, a great place to stay!

Expedia offers American Express as payment method. This hotel does not accept American Express so we had to put charge on a different card which was disappointing

Clean room, almost useless WiFi, tv/cable didn’t work at all, Breakfast was minimal/ad hoc. Price doubled for weekend w/o notice.

I was pleased with the room. It was clean and had what I needed for a two night stay. It was the low priced option and most other places were 2x-5x the price. The bathroom was small and the heating system was loud. Again, it was a bargain option!

The property is outside Ithaca city limits with two other motels close by. Good microwave and minifridge. Wifi didn't work and one bar cell phone coverage. Trader Joe’s 8 minutes away and wine/liquor store across the road from TJ.

Family owned motel- very friendly. Facility gets the job done and comfortable place to rest your head.

Very tiny room, poor condition of the bathroom, noisy outside due to the traffic, and expensive compared to the service. Not recommend.

Property is near to 2 tourist spots. Only issue was with wifi connection, very poor connection. In night, we can hear noises from outside the room, not so peaceful.

It was a last minute booking for a family visit. And I admit I was looking for a low cost option. Though the owners/management were lovely and accommodating, the property and room were even less than I was expecting. Carpeting and the cloth chair were stained. Bathroom was clean. Microwave didn't work....musty smell.

Our room was clean, but we only had housekeeping service one day. Mainly, it was almost impossible to communicate with family or work on the computer because of the lack of internet service. Breakfast was Raisin Bran, milk, ready-made mini-muffins and bananas and coffee. Tea bags were offered, but no hot water. Shower was very small, but water pressure was good. No instructions on how to work the TV. We would not stay there again.

Very old building, but decently clean. Friendly staff. Clean bedding and towels. Easy parking and close to main road. I would stay here again for a night. My biggest complaint is the poor wifi, we had to sit outside our room to be able to get a connection.

You get what you pay for and the room had stagnant air in it. It made me cough alot.

Stayed three nights. Bed was comfortable. Facility is old, but everything worked. Hot water in shower was fine. Convenient location. Continental breakfast was sparse - milk, one choice of cereal, muffins, coffee, bananas and oranges. Owner was awesome. Great service. Would stay again.
