We transferred to different rooms over the course that we stayed there due to different issues. The only good thing about this hotel are the staff.

For the price paid, it was THE BEST hotel I have stayed at in the Philippines. Real American comfortable mattress! Real American feel pillows. Heavy thick comfortable comforter and blanket. Freezing cold air conditioner. Water so hot you can’t fully open. Useable excellent cable tv, with English option. HBO! Kettle. 2 glasses, coffee cups. Complimentary tooth paste and brushes/nice smelling soap. Large towels. Excellent shower space. Great for disabled or handicapped individuals (bench) large shower head and also wand. Bidet Shopping/grocery (save more) in the same building. Palawan money changer downstairs. (Although valrica gives better exchange rates) Near Florida bus terminal. 50 yard walk. McDonald’s and kfc within stone throw. 7/11 beside Florida liner. (Super convenient location) tricycle or taxi on site. Refrigerator and freezer available for use but not in room.
The negatives, it was little flying bug season… non biting though. Internet wasn’t working for our stay but it was due to an auto accident (uncontrollable) finally 500 push key deposit.!!! Absolutely, worth expedias price, or even walk in price for that matter! Loved my stay!

I have been to many islands and hotels in the Philippines. I am an experienced traveler here! Other than the internet not functioning this was the BEST hotel I have stayed in at a $26 usd price! Things you absolutely don’t get in a Manila hotel! A quilted thick blanket. Kettle, hot water shower, super soft king bed (great mattress) large room, security and police EVERYWHERE! SAFE… not like Manila where you NEED to be on guard EVERY public place to protect your phone or gold. Snatchers are rampant because they work in coordination with the barangay (police) for payment…. Santiago is a really nice town! You are safe here and the police are respectable! They also treat foreigners equal.- meaning not dual prices for foreigners vs locals. Completely recommend this hotel….. best I’ve seen at a lower end price! If you are near Santiago… don’t miss this jewel! OVERLY satisfied!!! It’s about time Expedia! You have done very poorly lately! Very poorly!

The first room had no window. I moved rooms. The entire floor (all rooms) had just been treated with insecticide. I could not breathe and starting coughing. My throat burned. The staff told me to wait a few hours and it would pass. I immediately checked out and went to another hotel. “Non refundable”. It was better to lose the money than endanger my health.

Hotel is run down, not maintained,no lift operational and no plans to fix it. The remote looked like it had grime caked onto it From previous guests, filter in aircon not cleaned . Etc

First time here and will continue to stay here in the future. Check in was smooth and easy, and very professional. There’s a 500 pesos deposit for key and will be return upon check out. There is a list of available breakfast if it’s included in your stay. I chose spamsilog, it’s basically spam and eggs, portion is good and tasteful. They bring the food to your room. I only took photos of the food because the room photos are the same as the website. There is a 24 hour security as well. Parking during the day can be tough, just tell the Secuirty you’re checking in and he would most likely have you park next to the hotel. After 8 or 9pm the parking lot is wide open. The room itself is nice and spacious. There are no windows so leave the ac on for air circulation, it could get stuffy in there. The bed was very comfortable, I passed out once I hit the pillow. The tv reception is great with plenty of channels. The WiFi is good but not sure if it will slow down during the day, I just notice it’s fast early in the morning. There is a door bell for every room so don’t be alarm when you hear it.Nearby is a SaveMore grocery store attached to a small mall. There is a money changer as well if you need that. The exchange rate is higher than the one inside SaveMore, (you’re welcome). There’s a McDonald’s inside the mall and there’s a 24hour McDonald’s at the corner (can’t miss it) for those who have late night cravings. A newly built KFC (yay) and if you keep walking along the side of KFC

The hotel has a nice location but it’s quite old so don’t expect too much, the rooms have seen better days and the beds are so soft that you will have backache. On my stay the room gets “cleaned” but the bathroom is barely touched, best case is going to get dried up

We stayed for 2 weeks, and had a wonderul time. All the staff are friendly, and very helpful. The room was comfortable, and the location next to the mall is so convenient for picking up basics during the stay

This is my second time of stay in Dreamwave Santiago. First for business and second for business with family. Very good staff, wifi, and breakfast. The only small problem is the parking, as parking in this area is quite difficult. But overall, this hotel is highly recommended. Room is nice and comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

Ive stayed in a more expensive hotel than dreamwave before and also after my stay there but i can honestly recomend this place over the 2 hotels it has a lot more to offer and the staff are far more freindly... dont get me wrong the hotel has a few faults but i would definatley stay there again.. the rooms could do with a bit of updating esecially the bathrooms and the linning could do with being replaced a lot of it was ripped/damaged towels old mattress sunk to middle and i think the drainage could do with looking at as the bathroom we had the shower smelled of urine everytime you entered the room. (we didnt actualy report it as it was just a bed for the night really as my fiancees province is very close by and we spent most of our time there.. the hotel is in a great location mall underneath the staff were very friendly close to transportation lincs good eating and robinsons mall nearby with some good pillapina foods served...hotel would benefit a private smoking area but it wouldnt stop me staying again they do warn you you can smoke outside but at your own risk..all in all i enjoyed my stay at dreamwave and it was great to spend time with my fiancee..4 stars

The staff are very accommodating, approachable and helpful.
We have 2 setback with our stay is the air conditioning as it takes a long time to cool the room, we have to keep it running even when we were out so the room will be cool on our return. The other setback is the difficulty in getting mobile signal inside the room, we have 2 different mobile networks and both have no signal inside the room, we have to go out the hall and in the lobby area to get mobile signal. Even the hotel wifi has poor signal inside the room.
The plus factor is the hotel's location which is within a mall complex, easy access to forgotten items and fast food stores..
