Nice hotel

Beautiful hotel, good service (as always in Germany), great hotel for the price (honestly) food in the bar was excellent (the way I like it). An honest place, well worth the stay!

Nice clean rooms and spacious bathroom. The breakfast was a little expensive but it was good. The hotel is close to the harbor and parking is next door in a parking garage and it was only EUR 15 for 24 hrs.

Great hotel close to everything. Paid parking (€10 per exit) on opposite corner. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I like the location. Everything is in walking distance. The shower is excellent even for Europe. No A/C can be a problem. Breakfast is very good. Rooms are small. No fridge.

Generally good stay in a nice hotel. Tablet in the room is loaded with loads of useful and interesting information. Room did not have a kettle and when I asked about one I was told that there was no housekeeping on at that point. I was told to get a jug of hot water from the bar - I WAS CHARGED €5 for this jug of hot water…only to find that there was a kettle sitting on a trolley in the corridor outside my room for the entire night. It might seem petty - but I think that was an expense that really wasn’t required.

We stayed at Alte Post overnight as part of our road trip thru Germany. Loved it! Good looking rooms, staff was nice, room was moderately priced and the bed was comfy. The hotel also gives discounted parking on the associated parking garage. Wished the rooms had air conditioning tho, because the only way to cool the room as far as I could tell was to open the windows, and that means letting the noise from the street in. Would absolutely stay again if we visit Flensburg.

A grand old structure has been turned a dignified, delightful facility staffed by thoughtful and responsive professionals.

The lift only went up to the second floor, so we had to carry all our bags and suitcases up (and down) another level on a rather narrow and twisting staircase. This was quite an effort and even a little risky at our age!

It is a very good hotel. One of the top two in Flensburg. Only complaints were; no wardrobe to unpack a suitcase (only a rail for coats and very narrow open shelves), bathroom light is only on scanner so you can't go into the bathroom at night without waking your partner (needs an off override switch). Also very loud street noise on the front/side, so next time will ask for a room away from the street. But overall a good hotel and will be back in a couple months.

Good location, nice bed (not very good pillow), kind service but unfortunately a lot of noise from a backyard next to the hotel.

The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it smelled badly of smoke. No possible actual change. I was offered a room with Erotic theme- but honestly would not like to! Because of the smell they fumigated the room with artificial flower spray. Way too much. I asked if there would be any compensation - ie give the breakfast for free and they agreed. But why should I ask - why not offer something themselves? Also the room was so much a single room, that they didn't even give two cushions in the bed. All is bare minimum. The room was so hot, it was hard to sleep, no aircon - no tea/coffee in the room - remember the breakfast cost on top. When asking for gluten free bread in the morning, it took 10 min to bring. All in all not a place worth the cost.

Good restaurant, good breakfast buffet. Laundry took 5 days to return to me. Key cards for parking rarely worked.

I have stayed here in the past. I like the location, the bar is nice and they have a good breakfast. Also, the shower is also one of the best.

The hotel, staff and rooms were excellent. Our only complaint was very slow luncheon service and selection.

Very good lobby and well placed hotel

Comfortable room with a nice bathroom. I was there when it was unseasonably hot in Northern Germany. It was a little warm in the room during the night. Room did not have AC. Delicious breakfast. Extremely nice staff. I was very pleased.
