The staffs are amazing and tried their best to communicate. The room is excellent and enjoyed the open air bathtub with beautiful background of the mountain. I would definitely recommend this hotel and definitely would stay here again.

We had a great stay at Tensui Saryo during Hakone visit. It is very conveniently located near the train station from Hakone-Yumoto and the cable car that leads up to the Owakudani sulfur vents.
Our room was beautiful and the mountain view - though somewhat cloudy - was as well. The futons in our room were warm and soft but I did wake up a bit stiff (just gaijin issues). We had an outdoor hot spring-fed bath on the patio which was very luxurious. The sulfur is filtered out so the water doesn't smell at all.
The included breakfast was very good and the staff graciously accommodated my request for vegetarian food. It is an authentic Japanese style breakfast with many small dishes.
Given the price I do wish that dinner was also included. There are several restaurants nearby but strangely many were either closing when we got there or didn't open until later.
The staff were all very kind and helpful. Do note that though the reservation includes 1 free drink at the bar per person it only applies to the menu offered. It wasn't entirely clear so when we ordered cocktails we ended up paying extra. They do offer free snacks and drinks when you arrive, which is nice.
Overall a very relaxing and pleasant stay.

Staff didn’t give us the room we purchased and tried to make us feel bad for asking. They didn’t pay attention to task and breakfast looked like left over dinner.

Highly recommended, I love the welcome service at the Bar, the breakfast, the room and the service.. location is very convinient.. but I suggest you better drop by the convinient store near the station if you need some extra stuff before you proceed to the hotel..because there is non close to the hotel. Overall all … GREAT HOTEL

Perfect location, only about 100m to Gora station.
Very friendly staff, spacious rooms (in "Hanare") clean, coffee mill and different types of beans in the room. "rotenburo" on the balcony, the general "ofuro" very romantic. Interior new, clean and nice.

The staff was really friendly. I arrived to the hotel early and they held my bag for me until I came back. I had no idea what I was going to do but they gave me some great recommendations of things to do in the area and when I came back my bag was in my room. I really enjoyed the welcome drink and cake at the bar with a foot bath. The hot spring bath and foot bath in my room were also great! (Select rooms only) I’ll definitely go there again.

We were welcomed with very friendly staff. The hotel was inviting and very pretty! We loved the fact that they had yukatas available we could pick out to use to wear around the hotel. My favorite thing about the hotel was the foot spa bar! Amazing!

ok for first time and one day but not worthy for 2 days or more. Hotel does not know how to make long stay visitors to feel truly welcomed.

The bed is full of female hair seems didn’t change liner and bedding cover , complaint with staff and they just tell us won’t be like this for next visit , for out 2 night booking , we left after few hours of check in as such cleanliness and staff response as this is second visit and we have so many travel all the year , this is kind of worst case ever had

I loved everything about my stay from the check in process (welcome drinks, footbar bath, and snacks!) to the outdoor / rock bath reservation ease, friendliness of staff, and room cleanliness - I don't think I've ever had a more luxurious stay anywhere else. Also, the general area is just beautiful and quaint.

Very attentive staff! They were amazing. The room was large and had a great view. We had a semi-open air onset. It was a wonderful experience which was fun to have a more traditional Japanese hotel stay.

Talk about taken care of when you are there. From check-in to the exit, I felt that I was taken care of. My room (#302) had its own outside onsen bath with a great view. The room was beautiful and it has a lot of the charm. The dinner and breakfast was dealt at the restaurant and not it your room, so be aware of that. The food was multi course per meal so you will be full. Another thing you should know is that if you have an onsen bath in your room, don't really bother with the private bath reservation. The hot stone room was fine though. My regret is that I only book it for one night. Will do more nights with them in the future.

The welcome drinks and treats during the happy afternoon hour were fabulous and surprise to us. Love the quiet hotel with very nice and awesome view of Mount Hakone. There was a complimentary private onsen hour but something didnt went well with the confused old man from the reception who assigned key to us and others to the private onsen in the late evening!

The hotel is located near Gora Railway Station. The room facilities are good and Japanese-style environment is comfortable and relaxing. Coffee machine with capsule, canned drink (stored in fridge) are provided in room for free. Dinner is served in a private dinning room. Private outdoor onsen bath can be booked for use for 45 minutes, and public onsen is also provided. Hotel staff is polite and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay and it was about what we expected based on photos/ratings on hotels.com. The overall experience was great, and rooms were clean. The open air bath in our room was also great, although the private baths that can be reserved (if your room doesn't have one) weren't great. Overall, this met our expectations, the service was great, and the location of the property is very close to the train stop.
