Perfect. Older motel but everything was extremely clean and in excellent working order. The bed was wonderful and close enough to town. We were very happy and will definitely stay here again. Wishing the new owners all the best. Wonderful place.

I rarely write reviews and sometimes wonder about the validity of such reviews but I would caution travelers booking this property. It is a run down motel and dirty. There are signs on the counters warning guests about bugs. A can of Raid spray was left in the cupboard next to dirty cutlery. Several roaches were crawling on the walls. We left and had to drive an hour back to find a property to stay at as everything was booked. It was raining and it is North Queensland but these bugs were in the room. I told the manager and she said there shouldn’t be any bugs since she sprayed before we arrived. Not acceptable to ask guests to stay in a room like that. Then she wanted to know if we left the door open and the roaches flew into the room. We did not. I asked for some type of refund and she said Orbitz would have to initiate that. I contacted Orbitz and was given the run around that the property manager didn’t approve a refund and they couldn’t do anything. Not what I would expect from a property listed on this site. Very disappointing.

We were greated with a friendly hullo on arrival. The motel was on the HWY but building set back and noise wasn't too bad at all.The room was spacious, clean and had everything that was needed. The only complaint would be that we couldnt get hot water in the morning. A big open space behind rooms was nice to be able to look out too.

The staff were incredibly helpful and the room was great, neat and tidy. The fridge was very noisy, both of the doors were very hard to open or close. We arrived in the dark and because of very confusing signs we almost left think we had the wrong place.

Right on the Bruce Highway so easy if you are continuing on it. Only a short drive into town if you need to go there. Nice staff (owners?) You can (just) hear the trucks passing but it's by no means troublesome. Room showed its age but was clean and spacious. Completely satisfied with my one-night choice.

Friendly staff I left something behind and they kept it for me until I came back through. Facilities aren’t new but that’s to be expected for the price. However very clean and tidy great motel to use if you’re on a work trip or passing through. Would stay again

On a good note the sheets and bathroom were clean and the air conditioner and fan worked BUT the first room we were given smelt really bad, had a small lizard and the shower was leaking. The second room we were given the windows were rotten and didn’t close properly. The beds were worn out and needed replacing. The fridge needed defrosting-freezer compartment iced completely. There was no furniture just 3 hooks on the wall one of which was broken. When I turned on the light I saw a cockroach disappearing under the skirting board. I used toilet paper to block up the big gap where he went. The shower wouldn’t keep a constant temperature. The whole place needs big maintenance and a lick of paint. It’s been neglected for a long time and needs to be updated. This is definitely NOT a 7.6/10 hotel.
