We (three adults and 1 tween) had initially booked for just one night in the 'glorified tent' type of accommodation. It contained 4 double (closer to single) beds and suited us fine, no complaints. Two of us took in the Gigantes Island hopping tour (a must see if you come to Carles Iloilo). We decided to extend our stay at Solina for an extra night but our type of unit was fully booked so we had to take the more conventional cottage style unit. It cost approx. 1,300 php more but it was larger and had a nicer patio with a pool and beach view so was worth it. The only negatives I found with this resort during our stay was the early morning noise of a pool side zumba class (pounding music at 6am, which ceased after we notified reception) and the construction of a new building which commenced at 7am. I mentioned to my wife that perhaps the staff felt obligated to ensure that we make the most of our days there, hence the early morning 'alarms'. And the beers could have been colder. Everything else was fine. The staff were always helpful and we were allowed an early check-in. We will definitely return.

My family had a great time together. Food was great and the property is just perfect for family bonding. The beach, pool, food, and friendly staff made it a trip to remember. Check in was easy and no hassle.

Fairly new ...great pools...good food but needs more breakfast options locale and international food

It’s a beautiful place to visit and spend wonderful time with family. The food was delicious as I love seafoods.

The proximity to the beach, pool, restaurant, frnot desk. All just a short walk. Great location

Nice ambiance for relaxing but need to add more food choices. There's only 1 resto in the resort and no other decent restos around the area. Food taste needs improvement as well, very bland. There are also stray dogs in the resort so its not safe to leave your food in the balcony of your room.

Everything is okay except that roof is leaking. We had to call the personnel to fix the leak and change the bed sheets.

The staff has great customer service. They offer a complimentary slice of a birthday cake with candle and provide birthday background music. Their villa is spacious and beautiful. The pool is nice. They offer delicious and different daily breakfast buffet menu .The bonfire was a nice amenity for families with kids. The surrounding iis beautiful and well maintained. The downsides are: the following : Their beach is quite a disappointment. You have to wear beach shoes or sandals to strolll or swim. Since the restaurant is open, the flies are a problem. Their van service trip one way is expensiive irregardless of the distance within the city. If you ask for the van service, they don't pick you up in your room or villa unless you asked for it. They need to have some informations handy if a customer asked for example fthe schedule of the nearest church,etc. Overall, it's still a nice place to relax.

Our overall stay was comfortable and very relaxing. Pros: Hotel staff are very helpful and corteous. Buffet breakfast is good. Clean and stylish facilities. Cons: Location is 3hrs away from the city and the beach area is not good for swimming.

Wifi service please... it's almost nonexistent that my supposed real time posts and energetic stay turned into a sorta spiritual retreat. Glad to have a book in hand...oh well...

The stay was great, staff very accommodating, service very good and place excellent. Highly recommended to discerning guests. Felt like time in not enough to explore the resort itself.

Checked into Front desk and had no issues. Asked about Gigantes boat tours and front desk person gave a number to call. Not being from Philippines there was no way I can contact boat tours companies too schedule a boat tour for Gigantes. Asked if they could at least dial number and they said they could not. Since a major draw of the area is these boat tours they should either have a company they work with or the assist people staying at Solina resort to get on tours. To me this is a big Fail on this resorts part. They will take you to your rooms via golf cart from front desk. When checking in this went good. Other times I waited 10 minutes and no cart showed up after front desk called for one. I walked about 5 minutes to my room near water. Another fail where rooms are a distant away. My room was a higher end room. We called front desk from room about internet and we were told only could only access internet at the restaurant. Got the password at the restaurant. Fortunately I could access internet still in my room. Why front desk didn't know this is another fail. Toilet seat was loose on toilet and one bolt was missing. I could see missing washer on floor. I was able to tighten one of the bolts so it was usable. I put washer on top of toilet. After 3 days there washer was still on toilet and it was never fixed or reported by cleaner of room. I can tell Solina is trying to make themselves as a top end resort but they are failing in customer service.

It is a very family themed place so it is easy for all to enjoy

Well provided amenities in our accommodation, excellent food and friendly staff. Well-kept surroundings as well. Would definitely recommend to others.

There is no wifi in the reception,rooms and cabins, only in the restaurant and pool area. The cabin tents are overall clean aside from the sawdust pile from ants or termites in the bathroom door corner. This must have been overlooked by the cleaners. The food in the restaurant was great too. We came in December when the beach was stretched far out because of low tide. But they have a very nice well-maintained pool to compensate for that. Overall, we had a very good experience.

It was cozy. Howver, they still need to have more food selections in their restaurant. They can put handles in the toilets for the seniors. The staff should remove/ get the dishes after room service.

It’s a beach front hotel with excellent amenities, clean rooms and heated swimming pools and jacuzzi. Beds are comfortable. Golf cars are available to take us around although you can also walk around. The internet however is not so good.

It was such a good holiday for us! Food taste was excellent! Nice amenities in the room but needs mini bar. Staffs are nice and friendly but needs to be more attentive and pro active. Ambiance of the place is so relaxing but landscape and beach needs to improve more. To sum up our experience, it was great! Thank you Solina! We will be back!
