It is a really good hotel and beautiful property. Their stuff is friendly, helpful, patient and nice! I booked it a few times for my guests and myself and will book again.

Best hotel stay ever…only hard to get to town because of the slopes that led to the hotel…worth it anyways.

Absolutely stunning high-end boutique hotel and spa. Incredible attention to detail in both decoration and service. Only negative is that there was just not enough of sun beds in the garden/pool area.

What an absolutely amazing experience!! This was a highlight of our first trip to Italy. It started a bit rocky as it’s a challenge to find the hotel via car. However, with a simple phone call they sent a driver to retrieve us and our luggage from a nearby public parking lot. We were greeted with refreshing drinks while they checked us in. Our rooms were perfectly spacious. We enjoyed our first day in the spa. This was so special to spend time with my mother and daughter in this serene setting. We then headed out to the pool area where we relaxed in the comfortable lounging chairs. We also ordered some lovely drinks and appetizers. There breakfasts were exceptional and the overall experience was fantastic!! Highly recommend!

It was a very nice stay in the center of Cortona village. Beautiful hotel and views. Comfortable and very clean rooms. The parking is the only thing that you need to prepare for, they have a small garage but you have to reserve and pay in advance. The other option is to park the car in other places close to the village and walk to the hotel.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The service was so very warm and welcoming. The lunch and breakfast were exceptional. The converted monastery had so much history. We enjoyed the spa as well.

An idyllic place to stay in an idyllic town. Everything thing about the hotel is very calming. Absolutely loved it.

What a beautiful place. Staff was amazing, so helpful in every way. Lovely breakfasts in the garden. Their bartender fixes some incredible cocktails and the one night we had dinner in the hotel restaurant, everything was delicious. A word of advice: If you’re driving, insist on a SMALL rental car. Cortona is full of tiny curvy cobblestone streets some of which you must drive through to get to and from the hotel. We were offered an upgrade to a Jeep with the turning radius of a semi truck and like the dumb Americans we are, we accepted. We cursed that Jeep every day spent in Cortona.

Excellent experience!!! Very attentive staff in ALL areas. Room was beautiful!! Breakfast was outstanding!!! Spa space was amazing!!!! A few tight corners but well worth the drive!!!! Love, love, loved the stay!

This is a wonderful hotel in every way: a beautiful building in an amazing location; excellent food at breakfast and dinner; a lovely, comfortable room and, most importantly, kind, welcoming and helpful staff.

This is a wonderful hotel. All the staff were so friendly, helpful and professional in every respect. The restaurant and quality of food was wonderful - such a relaxing and comfortable dining room. I'd rate it as one of the best for breakfast that I have experienced. We spent a week at the hotel and would have been quite happy to have stayed longer. We dined out in highly rated restuarants in Cortona but none were better that the hotel restaurant.

The most amazing stay! Literally the best hotel in Cortona. Such a short walk to the city center. My boyfriend and I had the most incredible time, our only regret was that our stay was so short. The staff really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip. I can’t wait to return! The view from the hotel was INCREDIBLE!

What a wonderful boutique hotel. For the money I can’t imagine a better value and I don’t mean this in any other way than it was a four or five star hotel for almost 3 star prices. The hotel restaurant was simply amazing and the staff was a five star group. The property was immaculate and the spa was beautiful. We will certainly stay there again when we come back. Bravo guys!!!

This is a beautiful Monastery conversion into a quaint boutique hotel. Don’t take your car ! Cortona is a lovely Medieval City and the roads are very, very Narrow.

Everything about this property exceeded expectations. The staff is outstanding. Every single person. Food amazing, rooms amazing location amazing. Definitely returning 🎉

Don’t know where to start…we have just returned from the most amazing 5 day break at the Monastero. From the second we walked in until moment we left we were met with most friendly, genuine, attentive staff at all levels. The building is beautiful, the rooms comfortable with huge beds and everything you need, clean towels daily and a turn down service with chocolate is a nice touch. Breakfast included is also excellent, again everything you need and a la carte items if you wish and served on the terrace too if you like to make it extra special. Bar fully stocked with everything you could think of and a hugely knowledgeable Bar Manager who will make you anything and his friendliness is another highlight of our stay. Cortona centre is 2 minutes away down a lovely street, every step a head turning moment with either the amazing view or the lanes, piazzas, decor and buildings. All in all we had the most amazing time in an amazing place, 5 stars is an understatement as it deserves more! There’s so much more I could say but if you visit Italy never mind Tuscany you must come and stay here.

Monastero di Cortona Hotel & Spa is the perfect oasis while exploring Cortona. The hotel is within walking distance to most of the Cortona sights and experiences. All the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and professional (not at all snooty). The hotel is very clean with twice daily room checks to replace linens, empty trash bins, and refill toiletries. The breakfasts offered were well beyond the typical hotel breakfasts - well-presented, fresh, and delicious. The meals we had at the restaurant were beautiful and delectable (some of the best food we have ever had). The pool provided a great reprieve from the heat and the setting is gorgeous. While our room was small (the only option available since we booked late), the space is well laid out and very functional. The king bed and linens were heavenly. We were surprised at how quiet the room was (no banging doors from other quests or any noise at all). The only bad parts are difficulties getting there and having to leave.

Beautiful and peaceful hotel located right in the heart of Cortona, a few minutes away from restaurants. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were excellent. The pool is such a nice amenity, just wish there was a place where we could lie down and read a book. It's impossible to relax, sitting on a dining iron chair.

Such a great unique place to stay; the spa is fantastic and walking around old city from Hotel was so convenient. Staff was very very helpful and so friendly. Beautiful walking up to church and fortress above old Cortona.

This property was stunning. Gorgeous views westward over the rolling Tuscan hills, paired with a cozy spa and relaxing outdoor pool were the perfect setting for a portion of our honeymoon. The staff was very friendly/helpful and management certainly does a superb job maintaining this historical setting.

What a beautiful hotel, the room was spacious clean and extremely well presented. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was delicious and facilities great too. I loved the personal touches like the biscuits and water in the room with a note on arrival and also on the last day. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!! :-)

Our only wish is that we could give it more than an excellent rating! Monastero di Cortona has a staff that goes above and beyond in everything they do. The grounds are spectacular and the work they have done in renovating the former monastery is beyond words. Morning breakfast was delicious. Weather didn't cooperate to enjoy the outdoor areas, but would absolutely recommend to anyone traveling to Cortona.
