First of all, I would like to say that this hotel is almost the best hotel for those staying at Riverside. It is not a 5-star hotel, but the accommodation fee is not high, the room is comfortable, the room cleaning is accurate, the staff is hospitable, there are many restaurants in the area, the transportation is convenient, and there is a reliable money exchange shop and laundry shop within a minute's walk. It performs extremely well in almost all aspects. I am Japanese and this was my first stay in Cambodia, and I was very satisfied with this hotel.

Tao Hotel was the first hotel in our long vacation that we stayed at. Room was average size with a balcony that overlooks the river. No upgrades offered. Staff was nice. There are a lot of restaurants and street food vendors within walking distance. Nothing special about the hotel. There is a tuk tuk driver that will literally harass you to let him take you places. The first day he took us to the mall because our room was not ready. He later came back and picked us up. We asked him how much and he said "whatever we want," so we gave him $10USD (I know it was too much but we wanted to be kind). He offered to take us to the killing fields and the school the next day so we took him up on that offer thinking he was not going to rip us off. After the killing fields, he suggested breakfast at a restaurant across the street. We ate there, paid for his food also. When he dropped us off, we gave him $20USD and he got mad and said no. He wanted $60USD! Even after we paid for his breakfast at a restaurant!! Not even street food! I was so shocked!! He drove us around in a tuk tuk in 105 degree and 100% humidity weather and wanted $60USD!! I told him no, that was too much. We settled for $40USD, which is still too much. He offered to take us to the airport and we declined. The hotel transportation was $15 to the airport in an air-conditioned vehicle and not a tuk tuk. So beware of the nice fellow outside the hotel who likes to casually come up to you and chat.

Wonderful stay ! Executive Suite. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Excellent Staff Many English channels of the TV, good water pressure and hot water ! Restaurant right beside it Already made plans to stay again !

Fantastic location with rooms available off the main road but still with great river views. Endless choices for dining and places for a beverage or two. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms, although slightly worn were spotless. Great mini bar and VERY affordable. Happily stay there again.

It’s a great place to use in PP Riverside, everything about the booking and stay went well. Having a balcony overlooking the river is very nice indeed, a great place to relax particularly before bedtime. Choice of good places to eat, easy to get tuktuk. Transfer arranged through hotel can be much more expensive; to Battambang by taxi was 120$ through hotel but 75 booked at the street kiosk a block south of the hotel next to Bgari. The woman manning the kiosk spoke good English and I was confident with the arrangements. I would happily stay at Tao again!

The property is a bit tired. We were central to the market and cafes a little bit bemused as it is also a red light district. Another positive as they had luxury shower essentials and a coffee percolator and teapot. Did not offer breakfast

The room was spacious, and the balcony as well. Lots of traffic right outside, but the windows+door was well soundproof. No problems sleeping. Big bathroom with plenty of hot water. A fridge with various minibar items in the kitchen. The room is cleaned if you hang the sign outside the door. Outside there's a decent restaurant for breakfast/lunch right across the street. There's also laundry, a mini mart and a travel agent right next door.

Beautiful views of the river and nice balcony. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Location is just across the street from the river walk.

This hotel is in a great location. Everything is within a few minutes walk. Staff are so nice. One of the cleanest room we have had. We saw them even cleaning the balcony down each day. Nice big room. Bottle water. Hotel offers an airport pick up. It cost a little bit more than a taxi. But the driver stop at a cheap place to get a SIM card and to get some cash exchange at a good rate. You wouldn’t get a taxi driver doing that. Plus good speaking English and told us what to do and not to do. A tuk tuk is a lot cheaper but you are around 40min drive from the airport with no aircon. So for a extra $5usd (round about) This would be my first choice and would be recommending to all our friends. 200% loved our stay

Very clean room, cold a/c, pleasant staff, easy check-in. Close to the river (across the street), near many bars and restaurants service both Western and Khmer food.

The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows. Very nice kitchen and the location is great. But the best part was the staff. They were extremely friendly and very accommodating.

Great stay - close to the river for evening strolls, walking distance to most places we wanted to go (or a short tuk tuk trip). Very large room. Helpful staff. Really enjoyed our stay.

This is my second time staying at Tao and I absolutely prefer staying here than any where else in Phnom Pehn. It is clean, convenient, safe with lovely staff. I highly recommend Tao.

I stayed there for a few days in February 2022. The rooms were really nice and BIG! In fact, there were two rooms. The area is perfect right next to the river and very quiet to sleep at night. You can walk in a few minutes to many great eating spots, walk on the riverside walkway, various stores for all you need. The owner and staff were excellent and helped with anything you may need. Great clean rooms, excellent beds and bathroom area. I can't state how happy my stay there was. Highly recommended. Randy Lozier, Denver Colorado

We were only there for 2 nights before heading on to Sieam Reap. Rooms are big and spacious great location on the riverside. Charlie at the front desk was really helpful aswell as all other staff. Highly recommend

Excellent property in a great location. I stayed here for two weeks during the lockdown of Phnom Penh due to COVID-19 and I was glad the Loft room I reserved had a great river view from the balcony. The huge living space also made the lockdown more comfortable, the decore made it homely. It was a very difficult situation and the superb staff did a wonderful job to ensure my wife and I had an enjoyable time. From the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff, thank you.

The only thing we didn’t like was the fact that there was very little hot water in the shower, so we had to take cold showers.

Friendly staff, good location near the river, large rooms, we had a two bed room (twin & Queen) with sitting area and wet bar, large bathroom with rain shower, great hot water/pressure. Very clean. Only minuses; slow unreliable WiFi, TV had sporadic problems.

The loft room i am staying at was good and in excellent condition. The staff are friendly and helpful. Only thing about the room is, the air con makes noise and the room isnt completely sound proof especially when the street gets busy in the morning and you can hear it. But overall i would recommend for a good stay!

Very clean and was able to go outside on the veranda for a riverside view! Will stay there again!

Small boutique hotel, 12 rooms. Friendly English speaking staff, very modern accommodations, large rooms, comfortable bed, fast WiFi, nice bathroom with big walk-in shower. Good central location, good value !

With the downhill slope getting to the room this could present a possible safety issue for guests and staff. That would really be my only criticism.
