Outstanding place to stay. Food, service, beer all very good. This is a gastro pub and i believe it came second in the country recently which speaks highly of the staff and place I was very impressed with the food.

From the outside the Cornish Arms looks just like a local pub, but step inside and you instantly know it is anything but. It is very stylish indeed. Our room which was their standard double room,was very chic and we loved all the furnishings and attention to detail.It had a king size bed with high quality linen and was so comfy. We enjoyed an excellent dinner and breakfast too.

I think I was expecting it to be more like a hotel than a pub with rooms but thats exactly what is so maybe my bad for not reading fully. The room was decorated beautifully and was very clean. Grear matress and pillows and the toiletries were super cute. My breakfast was amazing!!!

Great pub with rooms in centre of Tavistock. We stayed in the Mallard suite which was beautifully appointed. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was exceptional.

Friendly and helpful welcome. Quick checkin. Lovely room which looks like it’s had a fairly recent renovation. The breakfast service was excellent, as was the breakfast. My wife and I will stay again in the future. We would definitely recommend The Cornish Arms.

The rooms were excellent, attention to detail and the rooms were so clean. We booked a meal on the evening of our stay which was fabulous. Every one of the staff we came knto contact with were really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We'd definitely stay again.

Excellent stay!

We were staying for a wedding and wished we had more time to spend to really enjoy the room and restaurant. Every little thing had been considered in the room (even down to the ear plugs provided!) and the breakfast was delicious. Toshi was really friendly and welcoming.

Superb place to stay - stunning dinner & breakfast. Staff are great, so friendly and super helpful. Bedroom beautifully furnished. Will definitely return!

Great location, lovely room and tasty breakfast. Noisy outside in the early hours when kids left clubs but that wasnt the hotels fault.

The Cornish Arms is a fantastic place to stay. The food is excellent and the service fantastic. I would highly recommend.

Easy to find. Parking hidden around the back but limited. Easy access to the bar from there to check in. They got our room ready a few hours early, which was fantastic for our schedule attending a wedding. The room was really lovely and spacious, with storage, hanging space, huge comfy bed, lovely bsthroom and superb shower. Stunning breakfast and friendly service. Only downside is that the area is noisy on a weekend night, until quite late and the building is of a certain age so has no standard double glazing. Efforts have been made with a secondary sliding glass panel and earplugs provided. We were back late and just put the tv on to counteract the noise while we had a cuppa. Coffee mschine provided too. We were tired and slept soundly. Good blackout curtains aided a sleep in. Will definitely be back to try the amazing evening food as we dont live too far away.

Small room with no storage.No bathroom fan (or not working) .Could not open bathroom window.Bar staff could not make cocktail.No fish on breakfast menu.

The service was impeccable, the bespoke bedrooms a must see and the breakfast the best I've tasted in a longtime

It was amazing! Everything had been thought of. One of the staff even let me use her umbrella for the day as it was pouring with rain. Room was immaculate, the roll top copper bath was a lovely luxurious treat! Good was top notch. Ideal for a romantic get away. Couldn’t recommend enough.
