We had a pleasant 2 night stay at Hanscom's. Property is clean and the kitchen was great for preparing our lunches for the day before heading out to Acadia. Parking was convenient, wifi was adequate, and the AC worked well. At night, we were able to hear the noise of cars from the main road and a little bit of noise from our neighbors, but it wasn't bad and it didn't interfere with our sleep. Overall, this was a great stay. Totally recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at Hanscom’s Cottages. It was comfy, cozy, and a little outdoorsy. We took advantage of their well supplied campfire sites. I just wish they had small s’mores kits to purchase.

Very clean and friendly staff. Close enough to downtown to take a cab and not deal with traffic.

Great hotel, we would stay there again. The only suggestion would be to add a light at the entrance of the driveway - it's hard to see at night and the way the driveway is made there is a risk to hit the curb. Other than that it was great! Not right in Bar Harbor, so you have to pay for parking when you go to town, but it makes the hotel quieter :)

First time in Maine and road tripping from Ontario. We chose to stay here in a whim and have absolutely no regrets. The check-in process was very quick and the cottage was so beautiful. Lots of amenities on the property, including picnic areas and fire pits/firewood for private use. Easy to find and very close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We would definitely return if ever in Maine again… this place deserves nothing less than 5 stars!

The location of this motel was favourable to our liking. Close to all the action , but far enough to be private and peaceful. Very clean and well appointed accommodation. Great communication with staff. We would love to come back some day

What a charming place!!! We rented 7 of their 12 Cottages and Motel Units and had a wonderful week! They provide everything you'd expect PLUS more like Wood/Lighters and Fire starters - or a propane gas firepit if you prefer. Plenty of outdoor space!! The motel units are JUST as spacious and charming as the stand alone cottages - each is well Appointed and remodeled so nicely! Comfy beds, luxurious bedding and well stocked kitchen - we cooked all week! Location is perfect just between Bar Harbor and Acadia's Hull Cove entrance. Access to local beach is great but involves climbing on 5 ft cliff ledge/boulders to get down so only for the younger or fitter crowd. Nice grills and space for Cornhole that they provide! Plus lots of outdoor seating. Great spaces for walking your dogs too! We loved all 7 cottages! Sparkling clean and cleaned upon request.

Liked the outdoor seating options. The Location was a short drive into town.

Hot water was a bit slow to get. It’d take about 5 minutes for the hot water to even start when using the shower. Other than that, this property was very nice. Cute little cottages with everything you’d need for a hiking vacation. The owner was very responsive and nice. Great amenities on the property too which you don’t see in many other places. Will certainly book here again in the future if we return to Acadia.

The cottage was very cute and included all necessities that we needed in the kitchen. It was a 15-20 minute drive to the downtown area. There is a post office and gas station nearby. The property was very quiet. There was firewood, fire pits, and patio chairs for communal use. On the negative side, the shower and really low water pressure and the water didn’t get hot. After it ran for a long time, it ramped up to lukewarm and that’s as far as it got. While the bed was comfortable, it was super squeaky. Every time I rolled over, it protested.

Hanscom’s was a wonderful, clean and charming high-end motel right outside downtown Bar Harbor. The room was new and clean, and we really enjoyed our stay!!

Wonderful stay. Everything was clean and we were well taken care of. Communication was great and check in and out was easy. Great place to stay for visiting Acadia park.

The unit was wonderful! Wasn’t given the door code so I had to call a number on the door at the office. However…it was handled quickly & professionally. A 60 second inconvenience. I will recommend this place!!
