terrible- i couldnt travel due to storm-rang hotel-they said they would cancel. I booked through hotels.com-disaster!!!! the hotel offered credit note-but due to weather all phone lines were down- hotels.com never offered me credit note- the next day when the electricity returned-hotels.com and the gate hotel both said it was too late-they stole me money!! said i didnt respond- even thought the offer for credit note never reached me!! stole my money

The was ok. I didn’t spend much time in the hotel and primarily used it just to sleep. There a bit of a smell to the hotel but I assume that it was just because it’s a very old building. There was also no step free access so if you have mobility issues or a lot of heavy luggage I wouldn’t recommend. If your planning short stay and don’t mind a lot of stairs then this might work for you.

Quick and easy check in. Hotel a bit dated and very warm in the corridors, however stay was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our short stay. Location excellent and close to everything.

Good location, 24 service so you can go and enjoy the nightlife. Don’t remember coming back a couple of nights but I woke up in the bed safe and sound. Went just to experience Dublin. Bar downstairs open till 2:30 each day but not too noisy from hotel room.

Good enough if you're looking somewhere central, very loud at the weekend but over all perfect if you're not planning to be in the hotel often.

Very clean rooms and bathroom. Cozy beds and mattress. 100% recommend.

Great staff

One bed was concave, another lumpy and third one you sank to box spring. Coils of springs popped out when you moved. My make up brushes went missing. When I complained they suddenly found them in the trash.. very suspect! It was like staying in a low end Motel 6 in the states. Never again.

The hotel and room were really cute, and the decor was kind of quirky. The noise from the bar next door and the street was very audible, though. And the bathroom was the size of a postage stamp - you had to sit sideways on the toilet.

It at all as depicted in the website. Dingy, dirty carpet as you arrive. First attendant was rather surly. Couldn’t stay there and had to find other n accommodations.

For a 1-star and low price-option, the hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating. And the location is great. I would definitely consider staying there again if I go back to Dublin.

The location was excellent. Easy check in friendly staff.

The staff were wonderful. However, the room smelled like mildew. There was no vent in the bathroom so you could smell that the door was shut for a while with the dampness trapped in. There is no AC in the hotel so you have to keep the windows open all night. The noise on the street kept me up. This hotel has potential to be a 4 or 5 star but it needs to be updated.

From the outside and hallways no it doesnt look great but the room was big, clean and had everything we needed. More milk tea and coffee you normally get other places. The staff were excellent .. very friendly and helpful. If you have mobility problems then no dont stay here as there are stairs and no lifts and it is loud from bar downstairs but doesnt bother me, great location ... would i stay again?? I absolutely would and will thank you

Clean room, big enough and cost effective for what it is

The hotel is in a good location to the shops and plenty of bars, however the outside is very run down, reception is on the 1st floor so you have to walk up stairs and then yr greated by someone with a desk and chair. Not much of a hotel reception. The room we were giving was on the 2nd floor so more stairs to climb.. they had no lift and this room was for my dad who is 75 with a stick so he had to stop a few times to catch his breath and steady himself. The room was small and basic. It was also warm but if you left the window open all you could head was the crowds of people in the bars and on the streets. Would I recommend this place .. NO. It was expensive for what you got. Very disappointed with the hotel

The room itself was clean the staff was friendly. But the photos are nothing like the hotel and its on night club which makes its very loud

We were directly above the bar so we didn’t get much sleep all night. Once the bar closed, people were screaming outside for a solid hour. The people at reception also were not very friendly or helpful. Would recommend if you plan on staying out late

Very good location. However did not know it backs onto a bar and a night club down stairs.
A bit noisy until about 3 am each night.
The hotel is clean; very convenient and walking distance from everything. We liked the location.
Staff were helpful and friendly and upfront about not doing service every day.
I would recommend this hotel if you don’t mind the noise.

A little noisy in the evenings located next to murrays Bar. Facade outside on Parnell street was a little decreprid but deceptive. Couldnt be more wrong. Very clean and modern inside and staff very friendly and accommodating.

The check in process was quick and easy. Upon arrival was a little unsure of the neighborhood/neighboring businesses. The room amwas noisy at times from the neighbors which are pubs and clubs. The room also did not have air conditioning and was on a higher level- there was a fan provided but we had some very uncomfortable hot nights. Couldn’t open the windows because that would make the noise worse

Was on 3rd floor. No lift. Stairs felt like they were about to collapse. Very noisy outside window. No ac. Had a fan that didnt work. Shower was dirty.

This place was so weird i loved it. Twisty hallways only down side was no air so we did have to sleep with the window open that over looked a cool 5 bar courtyard so was a bit loud but 70inch tv drowned that out and if you are a big girl or boy their is no elevator and the shower is not meant for you but other that it was wonderful for a one night stay and i would stay again.

We were told on arrival that the hotel is above a nightclub that is open every night till 2am with loud music. This was not clear at the time we booked.
No cold water in the sink. TV didn’t work. Electricians tape wrapped around wire - fire risk. Clump of hair on the carpet.
I’d expect to be told about the loud music before booking. I’d expect basic amenities such as cold water & a working tv. I’d expect the place to be clean & safe.
Hotel refused full refund despite the above.

Great location , stayed here a few times

The noise from the next door establishment was terrible. There is no lift so if you have luggage and are on the third floor, it can be difficult. In saying that, as I had a bad back assistance was provided on arrival. No housekeeping on weekends. It is local to O’Connell Street which makes it a handy location.

Outdated and no elevator. Good for a night stay!

The room was ok and clean...but the heat in the room was unbearable. The heating was off and we were unable to identify where the heat was coming from and so sleeping beyond comfortable and I wondered if we might get heat stroke (difficulty with no sum), but it was extreme. The staff just had no answers.
