Heat didn’t work so the room was freezing, toiletries in the shower were all empty or nearly empty, breakfast was poor quality and not kept up on. Overall not a good stay, have had far better luck with home 2 suites in other cities. Chicago is not a good one.

Good location for river north. The only downside was the parking which it listed website as offsite. We had to walk 3 blocks to park and retrieve our car.

Stayed in a suite with family members. The bell captain was friendly and helpful. Hotel check in and desk is on the second floor, along with lounge and breakfast area. One thing that wasn’t perfect is that in the evenings, large groups would kind of take over the lounge area and porch area and it wasn’t welcoming during those times. Aside from that, we really enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and nicely furnished and welcoming. We stayed three nights on the 17th floor. Great views! Would definitely recommend.

It was fine. The property is odd because the check in desk is on the second floor. The big problem is that there is no onsite parking and no valet. You have to park your car in a deck a block away and its $50 a night. I'd probably choose another place in the future.

Housekeeping tried to enter my room before checkout time while I was in the bathroom. Despite me yelling “no” multiple times. Workers also could not keep up with the demand for people wanting breakfast. And some guests hoarded plates of stacked food while others of us got nothing. The room was clean. The bed was comfy. I like this chain, but this experience was very disappointing.

The staff was so, so sweet! I really liked the gentlemen and 2 different girls I saw working the front desk. I forget the name of the girl who checked me in on Friday 9/6, but she was very sweet and was very thorough in explaining how to use the overnight parking to me. The room left something to be desired for me, although I can tell it’s relatively new, it is not as well kept as I would like it to be. There was considerable liquid staining on the desk chair, couch, and the wall by the nightstand, as well as a wrapper by the nightstand. While I understand they may be sanitized, it definitely doesn’t give the impression that it’s clean, so I would recommend like a couch cover that housekeeping could wash or if you had the chance to like carpet clean them, which would be super involved (i know, sorry). I picked this spot because of the central location, breakfast, and price of overnight parking and was very satisfied in that regard, just wish the room felt cleaner! But again the staff that was working on Friday 8/6 were sweetiepies!! And the guy that worked Friday night and Saturday morning was helpful and personable! Thank you!

Everything was great! We really enjoyed our stay! The only complaint we had was it was hard to make our room cold no matter how low we set the temperature. We had it at the lowest setting and we still woke up hot in the middle of the night. And the curtains wouldn’t block out all the light no matter how much we messed with them. But those weren’t anything that really affected our stay. The staff was great and friendly, our room was nice and clean we were very happy and would stay here again if we visit Chicago again:)

Room was sub par. Light on bed did not have lampshade, bathroom fan malfunctioned every time, cooked breakfast sandwiches were bland, overcooked, or hard and small area for the amount of patrons at a time. Expedia listed as having parking available at location, and 50$ a day to park in a garage 2 blocks away in addition is excessive. Little selection/stock to the items available to purchase (food/meds/etc).

Our stay was great for the most part. One of the people at the service desk had an attitude and didn’t fully explain the parking to me so I had to pay 19 bucks going in and out of the garage. However the rest of the staff was great. That same individual didn’t even speak when I came down for breakfast one day but spoke to another guest shortly after. Would I stay here again…. Probably not. Breakfast options were not what I am used to.

There were several bugs found in the room, one of which was crawling on my coffee cup. There's little to no sound barriers so you hear everything outside. If you're a light sleeper this is not the place for you. Would not stay here again.

This was an OK stay. It was good for the location and being near trains. The elevators were super slow and usually had a long line of people waiting for them. Room's A/C was very weak so even at 66 it was still a bit warm. The breakfast had a good selection but staff were not prepared for rush crowds(maybe because of the weekend?) And things were ran.

We enjoyed our stay at Home2 Suites. It was perfect for our family with the kitchen & full size fridge which came in handy for baby food and leftovers. We love that the hotel is dog friendly so we were able to easily travel with her. The staff were all friendly & helpful! Appreciated the late check out flexibility as it takes us longer than normal with a little one.
We wished the breakfast time was longer and it was replenished as the food was gone soo quickly. The elevators were slow so it wasn't as convenient to step out quickly.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come here again.

Overall impressions:
We enjoyed the view from our room, which was on the 11th floor. Additionally, the hotel's location was very convenient—just a few minutes' walk from the tour bus stop, Trump Tower, and the waterfront. However, there were significant issues that negatively impacted our stay.
Noise insulation issues:
The room had very poor sound insulation. The noise from the street, especially on weekdays due to road construction, was so loud that it felt like the window was always open.
Cleanliness and room condition:
We noticed an unpleasant dust smell coming from the blankets and carpets. This gave the impression that the room needed a more thorough cleaning or that the bedding needed to be replaced.
Breakfast issues:
The number of hot dishes at breakfast was insufficient for all the guests. We arrived for breakfast around 8:20 AM, but there were only a few fruits and some pancake batter left. It wasn't until 8:50 AM that about 20 sandwiches were brought out, and the crowd that had been waiting immediately rushed to get them, leaving many guests without food again. Instead of relying on the breakfast here, I recommend taking a 15-minute walk to the four-story Starbucks nearby.
