Good for F1 Race weekend goers on a budget, room is clean and near to the train station.

And the breakfast was very adequate in the morning. Overall, a great day.

Plough Hotel had a very kind, welcoming and accommodating staff who could not do more to provide us with a top quality stay. The hotel was quiet, peaceful and conveniently stationed.

Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful which is important. Room was spacious and plenty of bench space to put my things on as well as room for my suitcase. It has a shared bathroom which I've never had before in a hotel it was no problem l never had to wait to use the shower. Plenty of car parking space if your driving. Tv was tiny could have bought the next size was my only negative. Also no soap ,shampoo but l always bring my own. The hotel itself not the rooms has been modernized l thought it was going to be a traditional english pub.

Overall a good choice, not in a great part of the Town, but centrally located. Very clean room and restaurant/ bar area, and very friendly and helpful staff. As it was hot and no AC, we had the windows open, but this meant we could hear the traffic as it is on the main road

No internet in the room we stayed in, the beautiful member of staff did what she can but issue did not get resolved.

It would be four or five stars if it wasn't for the car parking.. On returning from holiday I was faced with a £170 bill.

We were given the family room on the second floor instead of a double room due to double booking. I would not recommend it if you have knee problems as there is no lift. Bed is comfortable had a good quiet nights sleep with the heater turned off. It is conveniently located to the Royal and Derngate theatre.

Friendly service, basic room but OK for the price. Location colourful but handy for the Carlsberg brewery!

Maria and her colleague at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. Lovely warm welcome. Hotel is in a convenient area of town for shops, river, canal, pubs. Parking was available.

The whole place wreaked of stale cigarettes

I was welcomed by 'Christine' at the front desk on my arrival, she was so welcoming, smiling, friendly and she was most helpful throughout every aspect of my stay and nothing was a problem for her. The hotel was very clean and well run and most comfortable, homely and pleasant throughout my stay. A lovely experience throughout!

The staff was lovely. And the property was very nice. In the front rooms, the street noise was a little loud. But otherwise it was a great stay.

The Plough Hotel, Northampton is the most friendliest hotel. Manager Rodica, Staffs Christina, Maria, Charlotte, Nadia, Vince and house keeping staffs are wonderful. Building is great historian period one which I love it. Our family will visit there again. Many thanks for taking care while we stay. 💚

very very far from a standard hotel

Literally nothing in the room worked no plugs so no lamps,tv,fan,kettle etc. I discussed this with the night porter but no offer to even look at it. Terrible noisy night which i wouldn't normally complain about but forced to open a window and the hotel is on a busy intersection. Defo a no return, i left at 4am to sleep in the car

Good stay enjoyed it it quite clean

Staff were polite and helpful. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room and nice clean towels and linen, the room was very clean but the furniture is tired. Unfortunately The Plough Hotel is let down by standard of the rooms and facilities. Soundproofing could be improved, I could hear virtually everything from the next door room! It would have been nice to have been informed, whilst booking, that a private party had been booked in the function room and that music would be played until half past midnight.

Me and my friend stayed here to go watch some rugby and have a night out checking in and and out was so easy because of how friendly the staff were. People were in site all day and night making you feel safe. Also the room was massive and so clean I normally struggle to sleep in hotels and get major back pain but the room was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up in the morning

Friendly service at check in. Plenty of on site free parking spaces. Clean well presented room with spacious clean bathroom.

If you can afford to stay elsewhere, do. The mattress was awful and a strong smell of sick/urine in the corridors. Being next to the Carlsberg brewery meant a strong smell of hops if the window was opened. Staff were the best part of this stay.
