Beautiful place. Loved the set up. Short stay because of early morning flight. Would of liked to have stayed longer

Pros: The staff was super nice and the hotel was clean. Parking was easy as there was plenty across the street. The lobby had a lot of beautiful plants.
Cons: The noise INSIDE the hotel! There isnt any carpet, so the noise travels very well. People were constantly going in and out of their rooms all night and it sounded like their doors would slam every time. The microwave in the kitchen down the hall was being used all night and into the morning. Every time the microwave went off, the noise traveled down the hall and it was as if an alarm was going off inside my room. There wasn't a fan or ac unit in the room to drown out any noise. Also, because there wasn't a fan or anything, it was so hot at night. I travel all the time and this is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Just due to the fact i wasn't able to sleep AT ALL because of the noise. I can usually sleep through quite a bit, but this was ridiculous.

Room temp was too warm, there was no end table or anywhere to lay out your belongings, there was only 1 extra plug in the room which wasn’t anywhere near the bed. Listing didn’t relay information in a prominent place that there was no private bathroom and said breakfast and tea were included but they weren’t provided. Also, you could hear through the walls and the opening and closing of doors was extremely loud. Will never go back here.

This is a great place to have a quick overnight stay. The room was comfortable - no windows, sink in the room. The toilet and showers are down the hall and are immaculate. There was a kitchen with a microwave, coffeemaker, and full-size fridge. No frills, but close to the airport and great for a quiet, comfortable night's sleep.

Clean and comfortable. Some good restaurants right on the block. A bit noisy when people are talking in the hall, but that was minimal.

The laddy who takes care of the property is very nice but we from Canada and could not text or call. So we did not receive her text. When we got the property we could not get in. There's a key pad on the door and we did not know the code. Eventually someone staying there let us in and texted the manager so she could come to the front desk and check us into our room. The property is clean and in good shape. How ever the rooms are small, there are no windows in the rooms, and there is no way of changing the temperature of the rooms. The fridge microwave and bathrooms/showers are all communal ( shared). I Would never stay there again.

Modesta was very kind, sociable, and helpful. It is a micro hotel which makes it different from the usual hotel format, but it wasn’t bad for a solo traveler. Everything smelled good, was exceptionally clean, and very cozy. I would stay here again if I visit again in the future.

Overall a perfect stay to be close to the airport. Great eating options that were easy to walk to and very easy parking. Room was small but clean and the separate bath was a better experience than I anticipated. Only complaint was sound from other guests. Would be nice if rooms had a fan to drown some noise and add circulation.

Five star staff who were both patient and friendly. Great location if coming from the airport. Very clean. Just note that it's a bit like staying in a dorm in terms of level of noise, which I expected.

I've stayed at The Outpost a couple of times when traveling for work in the Bozeman area. It's low key, close to the airport, and is less expensive than many of the other options. A text will arrive with an access code to the front door and to a lock box inside where the room key is located. No hassle check in/out. Rooms are small. Mine had a bed and a sink. Bathrooms and showers are not in the room but I have had no problems accessing them when I need them. There a couple of restaurants/bars/coffee places nearby. An uber into Bozeman will cost $35-$50 USD one way. If you're looking for a full service hotel, The Outpost isn't for you. If you want a place with a comfortably bed and are a low maintenance traveler during your time in Bozeman/Belgrade, give it a try!

The hotel was clean, I had forgotten there were shared bathrooms but it wasn’t a big deal. Of all places I’ve stayed this was the absolute loudest and least insulated. I heard every single guest who arrived after me. I heard the guy in the next room zip his suitcase! No Lie!! I can deal with a lot and don’t like to complain so take this as a public service announcement 😂. Hearing the hourly train was a reprieve from doors opening and closing and people going to the bathroom and the guy coughing in the hall. Which would be all typical if there was any type of insulation to muffle noise. I hiked through Yellowstone like a zombie because I was awakened every 20 minutes. I wouldn’t stay here for free, let alone what we paid knowing what I know now. If the noise is addressed it’s an ok place.

Owner was SUPER!! Facility was unique and beds were comfortable. The train was a nostalgic addition and the coffee bar was welcoming. Unfortunately the obnoxious noise that other guests made upon their arrival at 11pm until 2am couldn’t be controlled, I didn’t think about sound issues when booking.

The concept is good. The service and communication was excellent. The beds were very comfortable. However, we were not able to sleep due to the noises from the hallway, the bathroom and the lobby. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 6 am but no one honored those hours and there is no sound proofing in the rooms so you hear every little thing.

It was a pleasure staying at "The Outpost" during my recent visit to Bozeman, en route to Yellowstone. I feel very fortunate that front desk administrator Modesta was able to accommodate my partner and I even though upon booking a room with Expedia the hotel was apparently full. A long term renter had just moved out of a room. Modesta was able to have her team (unless it was her) clean and prepare the room for our stay. I recommend "The Outpost " for all future guests! Thank you so much for your hard work to accommodate us. The room was lovely!

Quaint place right on main street so getting to food was walkable. Nicely done and very clean. We were a little concerned about the shared bathroom; however, there were plenty of bathrooms and shower rooms for all. Great experience!
