Hotel was great. Staff was great. The beds were a bit uncomfortable- very soft. Love seeing the manager interacting with the staff and guests

Room was kind of beat up, carpet was stained and damaged. They need to clean better behind the beds, lots of dust, candy wrappers, bottle caps, etc. had to call maintenance as the toilet got backed up and overflowed for some unknown reason.

Staff was friendly & helpful. Valet parking was quick & the underground parking was a huge plus! Room was extremely clean . Beds were super comfortable. The only negative was there was no hand soap at the sink. ( we made do with the shower gel provided) & the charging ports were extremely & loose. We thought our phones were charging all night, nope. Ine we discovered it wasnt charging we fiddled with it . After being plugged in for a additional 2 hours the % only went up 5% . Other than that excellent!

i loved the view, we could see town hall and a lot of salem, the sunsets were gorgeous! we were on a busy street that was well lit so could walk around easily, even at night, and could cut through the side street to get to essex street super fast!! plenty of restaurants and coffee shops, even things open late. it was helpful that we were across a starbucks too!

Was great. They were gracious enough to check us in early. We enjoyed the free coffee/tea throughout the day. Our room was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast every morning was awesome, a lot more food than we expected. Our hotel made our trip much more enjoyable. We highly recommend it.

The hotel was new, but everything is stripped down to basics. The sink in the bathroom did not drain properly. I stayed for two nights; the bed was not properly made after the first night.

The hotel was nice but a little over priced for what you get. Our room smelled like wet dog. I told them first thing and they didn't offer to move us until the second day. Plus on the second day I had to request maid service.

I’ll start with the bad, property isn’t that clean the carpet all around is dirty and so are the elevators, our room upon arrival had a hairball and lashes on the bathroom floor we asked to be moved and our second room was still dirty but better we just stuck with it. Other than that the staff is nice, breakfast is good and is constantly being restocked, they offer coffee & tea in the lobby which was great. It’s a nice location close to everything. If I come back to Salem I will probably stay again

Loved everything about our stay! Able to accommodate a last minute change in reservation, free breakfast, parking was so convenient, connected restaurant offered discount to guests of the hotel. This location was perfect especially for first time visitors to the area. It was so close to a lot of the attractions we planned to see. Great restaurants nearby. Right next to a Walgreens which was a great help to our stay. The staff could not have been more helpful or welcoming. 10/10 recommend.

Don't bother to stay here!
My visa was charged the full amount on the first day, and then on their end it didn’t show as having been paid, which resulted in 4 days of mystery charges appearing, which are above the amount quoted for the room. The manager was extremely unreasonable and unhelpful, insisting that this is a problem with my bank and not offering to phone head office or hampton inn financial to find out what the problem is. I still have charges Im having my bank dispute.

Listened to motorcycles racing outside between 7-10 PM. Just annoying. We stay in Hampton hotels a lot through Expedia. These have to be the SMALLEST king size bedrooms that I have ever stayed in. We felt crammed. Was broadsided by the $25 a night parking fee above the room price when we arrived. Otherwise, this Hampton is good.

I wish I had known about the parking situation prior to booking this hotel. We ended up taking two vehicles at $25 per vehicle per night. It was very expensive to park. In addition, one of our vehicles had a kayak rack on the top that had to be removed in order to park in the parking garage. if we had wanted to park without removing it, it would’ve cost $50 a night. Everything else about the hotel was expected and about average for Hampton Inn.

The ac in our room was broken so it was uncomfortably warm, the room also smelled like a wet dog and the carpet was sticky, The staff was very accommodating and allowed us to switch rooms for the last night of our stay since the AC was not able to be fixed, im fairly certain they had to remove the unit completely from the room. While the second night was fine, the first night was uncomfortable.
