Location was good, an easy walk to the town and beach. Grounds were well maintained and the pool area was lovely. Comfortable seating in the apartment. One of our party used a wheelchair but there was a ramp and lift so it suited our needs perfectly. The town was small enough with a pretty harbour, spectacular views and some wonderful restaurants that were reasonably priced. Agaete has a beautiful natural lido area, we loved it! Would recommend highly this property and resort.

We liked everything. Could do with more good mugs because 2 of the 4 needed replacing, but there was plenty of everything else. It was well equipped. Some comfy loungers for sitting by the pool would be a bonus and would be worth paying a bit extra for.

After I got over the horrific unprofessional key handover with Borja (see below), the actual apartment itself was spacious with a nice pool and 5 minute walk from the town centre. (I don’t normally leave reviews, but I felt so compelled to do so after this bad experience. I couldn’t share more information in the negative box given the character limit but after some more back and forth Borja did eventually agree to a 6:30pm check in after I begged him for a refund given we were at an impasse).

The key handover was shockingly bad. Borja was the rudest person and made me feel uneasy about the entire stay - to the point where I would have preferred a refund. I booked the accommodation the night before and was asked to put an “estimated” time of arrival. Not thinking about it too much as I had not yet made plans for the next day, I put 3pm (check in is from 3-9). At 12pm I message to give an update on my estimated time - 5pm. In response Borja asks to “Try to be on time please, because I have more check ins to do, normally you have to give me an hour and if you arrive half an hour late it has an extra cost”. I’ve been using Booking for the last several years and thought that this was very unprofessional behaviour, but in any case I didn’t want there to be a chance of being late, so I replied “Ok understood! Let’s be safe then and say 6:30pm”. Here is a snippet of the convo after that Borja: “I can’t at 6:30, I have another one” Me: “I can do slightly later?” B: “No, I’m free before, not after” M: “When can you do?” B: “I can’t change everything for you basically, when you first told me at 3pm” M: “Is there another way to check in?” B: “No, only me” M: “I think I will will really struggle before 6, it said I could check in from 3-9pm” B: “Estimated is fine, 3h30m later is not (laughing emoji), and yes because after 9 you have to paid and extra cost” M: “Sorry - I really don’t know what else to say. Can I pick up the keys from somewhere?” B: “No. The keys are inside the apartment” M: “So what do we do?” (I send him a picture of the booking showing check in 3-9 and saying I’m confused) B: “Yes, it’s 3-9, because before you can’t and after you have to pay extra” M: “So I’m saying 6:30” B: “Yes but at first you say 3, the problem is I have more things to do, it’s not a hotel with reception” M: “Ok so what solution do you propose given we can’t be there until 6:30” B: “The solution is that you simply be when you first said” (Face palm!)

Everything was lovely. Lot of different details, very homely
