The room was very clean and the location was excellent (ocean front). Lovely and helpful staff were there to attend. Only downside was overpriced beer and drinks and food at the hotel. We ordered a cheese platter and it came with stale crackers and breadsticks. We felt a little disappointed. Overall it was a very nice stay but the hotel can pay a little attention to the details and some drink pricing.

Great staff, great location, felt like home

I'd definitely recommend a stay here, very friendly staff, great location and perfectly clean. I had a very relaxing two days here using it as a base to visit friends and family.

Upgraded $57 for a balcony room but receptionist did not tell me it was a long shared balcony and I thought it was a private balcony room so was disappointed and not worth it.

This is an old motel that has been renovated to look a little retro and they did a really good job! Short access to a quiet beach away from the crowds. If you want to go out for dinner, be prepared to walk a fair while or get a taxi.

Lovely spot just a bit expensive

Tessa's was just so damn cute. The decor, the colour schemes, the finishes, the accessories... Not to mention having the beach literally at my doorstep! Felt like I had fallen into an Instagram post. The visual ascetic can not be faulted! The staff were lovely, accommodating and efficient. My only criticism is the mattress on our bed was so INCREDIBLY FIRM that instead of a relaxing Sunday massage I was looking for a chiropractor!

Location is perfect , have bikes to use as you are a little bit of a walk away from coffee shops/ restaurants or just go for a stroll … rooms are lovely and 50m to a beautiful long sandy beach

Absolutely loved Tessa's on the Beach!! Loved the upgrade & all the beautiful finishes on this gorgeous retro boutique Hotel. Loved that it was right on the beach., with the bikeway out front to take us to all locations easily. The staff were amazing, they even took the time to walk us to our room you only have to text & they'll deliver a gorgeous cocktail to your room! Such a beautiful hotel in comparison to all of the very tired looking high rise! Would definitely highly recommend.

A lovely little property and very tastefully decorated rooms. Loved the complimentary bikes and access to approx 10km of beachfront cycleway right out the front. Jen on reception was lovely. Occupancy was very low when we were there (Thurs/Fri nights in May) so the property lacked a bit of ambience in terms of no other guests using facilities, but I’m sure the warmer months will get busy. Perhaps reducing the price-point (which is admittedly quite high for a converted motel) would attract more guests in the meantime..

A superb place to stay. Cocktails and barista coffee delivered to your room, the lounge area outside or the pool make this a lovely indulgent stay.

For $500 a night - it’s not worth it at all - it’s a renovated motel and false advertising - not Palm Springs - we checked out immediately

Great location. Walk straight out onto the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. Didn't like the fact that there was no bathroom door and had to close the curtains on the sliding door when using the bathroom otherwise people using the walkway out front could see right in.

Highly recommend a stay here Staff cleanliness and service second to none. Eddie the barman - manager was very friendly and Most helpful. Coffee are great too And walk out the gate stringy onto the beach. Will come again for sure.

The staff were brilliant! The location is awesome. The rooms are neat and tidy and they use eco friendly products. Did I mention that the staff are brilliant?! Oh and the bar is nice and pool is clean and clear.

Great location right on the beach. Friendly manager - no problem with providing a late check out. Delicious margaritas at the bar!

This property is over priced, although it has been renovated. There has been no effort to reduce the noise in and around the property for guest inside their rooms. A guest should not be able to hear another guests movements in their room (waking to someone having an early morning vomit, isn’t ideal) or their alarm clock, not sure why anyone would need one as the noise the first plane of the day at 6am makes as it gears up to charge down the runway and take off is enough to wake the dead. Storage is limited, fridge is barely big enough to be classed as a fridge. Staff did go above and beyond in attempt to make our stay easy and comfortable, to the point it felt like they were waiting outside our door to see if they could assist in any way. It’s a nice place to stay for a night or two, but price point needs to be dropped.

Cool retro 1960s feel Hotel. Based on the beach, the rooms are renovated and have everything you need. A nice bar enables you to have a drink of choice and either go to the pool, or the loungers that look toward the beach. Is a few km from the airport which is handy, but this doesn't cause any noise issues of note. Took a punt with a last minute booking, and glad we did. Would happily stay again.

What a vibe! Exactly what you see in the photos. You can hear the beach, feel the retro vibe. Staff are just incredible, accomodating. Hire bikes from Motel and head south for an adventure. Sunrise & sunset surround the motel, beach at your door step, coffee in the mornings, plenty of great eateries. Highly recommend Tessa’s beautiful little slice of heaven!
