We had an amazing stay at the burrow. The house was so clean, very comfortable with all we needed! Dana was very responsive with any questions we had. It was also a great place for our dog to take walks in the beautiful setting. Our trip to ski at Stratton was super quick which made it so easy to come back and walk our dog and head back to the mountain. We will 100% be back!

We had a perfect stay at the Burrow! The cabin is incredibly cozy, beautifully decorated, and clean. The listing doesn’t do it justice! Dana is a friendly, attentive host and she went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The cabin is thoughtfully stocked with everything guests (and their pets) could possibly need. We couldn’t recommend Dana and the Burrow more highly!

This place is spectacular ! Absolutely immaculate - everything appears clean and brand new. Dana is amazing - beautifully decorated home. Close to everything including Stratton mountain and Manchester and Vermont country store. Ideal location. Really enjoyed time with family and sitting by the fire. You have to book this house it is fabulous and we can’t wait to return.

We stayed at this rental property from November 25-29 to celebrate my husband's milestone birthday. The rental is appropriately named! "The Burrow" is everything (and more!) it claims to be in the online description. We found the home to be such a clean, comfortable, cozy space. It is rustic, yet modern. Private and secluded, yet the owner's home is nearby if problems should arise. We were grateful that the owners are dog-friendly! Food bowls and doggy treats were provided which was such a nice touch. It snowed while we were there and the plows arrived promptly to clear out the driveway. Dana was so friendly and prompt in her responses to my questions, both prior to booking and throughout our stay. She even recommended a local bakery for ordering a birthday cake. Thank you, Dana, for being such a gracious host! Would love to return to "The Burrow" for another getaway. 10/10!

Great stay

We truly enjoyed our stay with our daughter and two schnauzers. It was such a beautiful property with all amenities included. This place was packed with everything you would need! Dana and Dan truly try to make this place a cabin getaway from the regular hustle and bustle of life. Every detail, from our welcome card, to leaving a book for our daughter to read, to snacks for our boys. This really made it feel so cozy! Thank you for your hospitality!! Would love to come and visit again.

Had a lovely late autumn stay here. Everything was warm and inviting, and the location was a great home base for hiking in the area. Enjoyed the fireplace and the wooded surroundings. Many thoughtful touches throughout the home. Our family had a wonderful time!

I cannot say enough good things about our stay!! First of all, Dana was the most considerate host I have encountered. She left a lovely card to welcome us along with some tasty treats for our dog, and her communication was just right and so helpful. Then there’s the fabulous house—it blew my mind. For me, it was my hygge fantasy come to life. It’s such a beautiful, cozy, wonderfully designed space. All my senses were swirling in the best ways! Beyond being a feast for the eyes, the rooms are so thoughtfully set up for comfort and ease. Cooking in the kitchen was effortless. The master bedroom is such a dreamy space, and we slept so well. Lounging in the living room was so comfortable and relaxing. Watching deer eat apples from the trees in the front yard was a surreal treat. It just felt so good in every space. And the location was great! We started each day walking our dog by a lovely pond and the stream located right by the house. When we didn’t feel like cooking, there were so many great restaurants to choose from. It was just a wonderful week! None of us wanted to leave, especially our sweet pup. We cannot wait to return. All the stars! Fully recommend!! Thank you again, Dana!!

Our stay at the Burrow was absolutely perfect! It is a fantastic property with fantastic hosts! We cannot wait to come back and the attention to detail was unmatched!

Everything was A+, from start to finish.

The property was immaculate and all the extra little touches were so nice. It really made our trip comfortable and cozy. We got 36 inches of snow while we were there but were not snowed in at all. The owners made sure that we were plowed out and checked in regularly to see if we needed anything. We enjoyed a lot of family time together playing in the snow. The well equipped kitchen let us make cozy meals at home together and we were still able to get out for meals in town as well. We highly recommend this cabin in the woods!

We had a wonderful time at this clean, cozy cabin! Set in a lovely, woodsy location that's close to skiing at Stratton. Dana was a wonderful host - we appreciated the thoughtful touches such as a dog toy and treats for our pup! We absolutely loved it!

We had a wonderful stay at The Burrow! The cottage was just as advertised - clean, comfortable and close to winter activities. Dana was an excellent host, paying special attention to the ages of my children and their interests. When we arrived there were sleds and snowman kits waiting for us. Loved the special attention to detail and the coziness of this home - We will definitely plan a trip back!

Immaculate, well-appointed, and dog friendly. The Burrow is full of thoughtful touches, tastefully curated by Dana. Firewood had gotten damp in a storm but this was quickly rectified, and Dana dropped off sleds and a snowman kit for the kids as well. The drive to Stratton is quick and easy. Just what we were looking for and hope to return!

We had an awesome time at The Burrow and couldn't have been more happy with the whole trip. We fell in love with it as soon as we turned onto the road and drove along the beautiful Winhall River to the secluded house. We walked in to a spotless entryway, complete with a hand written note from Dana. As we walked up the stairs and into the great room, we were struck by how clean and well decorated everything was. My wife even noticed that the windows were spotless! The beds were great, the fireplace was cozy and we had everything we needed, including amazing little touches like multiple bluetooth speakers and extra phone charging cables (with connections for any phone type). It's very clear to see Dana has put a lot of thought and time into making sure the home is perfect for guests. As we were leaving, we got to meet her as she was walking her dog - what a great person she is! We are so glad we found The Burrow and can't wait to go back!

We were looking for a dog friendly property close to Stratton and The Burrow was perfect! We felt very welcome from the moment we walked in. Our host, Dana, thought of everything both for us and for our dog. From the bottle of cider and amazing coffee for us, and some thoughtful dog treats we knew we found the right place and felt right at home. The home is well appointed with very nice amenities throughout. We enjoyed the fireplace during a couple of the cooler nights. Our host actually included a useful video of how to use the fireplace for anyone not familiar with a wood buring fireplace - wow! how thoughtful! Communication from Dana was exceptional!!! She was quick to respond to any of our questions. Our stay was 100% perfect and we would absolutely stay here again!!

We feel so grateful to have stayed in The Burrow, it is such a lovely home and property! During a much-needed getaway from NYC, being able to enjoy tea on the porch right outside the back door and enjoying the gorgeous surroundings was everything to me. The attention to detail in the architecture and décor does not go unnoticed, they are all very beautiful and welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The king bed was extremely comfortable and the bedding was oh so cozy. There is a wonderful selection of books, perfect for cozying up on a rainy or snowy day. Much care is taken in keeping the home clean, I could not see one speck of dust on the floor when I was stretching on my yoga mat and I looked lol! We enjoyed the home so much we didn’t do as much exploring as intended and relaxed more. Thank you to the gracious host Dana, who was so helpful with suggestions and just being accessible if we needed something. It was pure joy to stay here and we can’t wait to come back!

Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. Beautiful setting, quiet with glimpses and/or sounds of wildlife. Place is clean, beautifully decorated, beds wonderfully comfortable and kitchen well stocked to cook meals. Our dogs were welcomed. There was a crate, gates and treats for our dogs (which were all used). Thank you! We love this area of Southern Vermont so much great outdoor activities plus great art, restaurants and stores to browse. We just keep coming back.....hmmm maybe its time to buy, lol

We had the best time during our stay. The house was clean, beautifully decorated, and had thoughtful touches everywhere for us. Wow, everything was just perfect! The property was immaculate and we felt welcomed as soon as we walked in. It seemed like every little thing had been thought of throughout the property which made our stay very comfortable and relaxing. Dana’s communication was excellent throughout the entire process from making a reservation through check out. We appreciated all of the personal touches, and our dogs did too!
