Hotel is super near the train station so that makes it convenient for train travellers. It’s also very walkable to the old town where there’re lots of dining options.
The rooms are really big and there was a king sized bed in our room which is quite rare in Europe. The only gripe we had was that the water from the shower (which was in the bathtub) splashes out quite a bit onto the bathroom floor, and the wet bathroom floor gets really slippery once wet.
The hotel breakfast offers a good selection of hot and cold food, and 2 big corporate Nespresso machines. The hotel staff are competent and conversant in English. Overall a very good hotel!

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in and I've stayed in hundreds. I’m not talking about luxury things like spas etc. It’s perfect in every way regarding cleanliness and comfort. The beds, linens, and pillows are top of the line. All better than high end chain hotels. Location is right in the old town. I could keep raving but will just end with very highly recommended.

The check in was great and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Both staff members spoke perfect English and were happy to help. The room was beautiful and the accommodation was perfect for three adults. We had a restful night sleep and now look forward to a walk along the Mondego River. The parking is not onsite, however, a parking garage with 24 hour security is a short walk away.
Our balcony afforded a view of the old train station as well as the river, it was a fabulous stay!

We enjoyed our stay here. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and booked a last minute reservation for us at a fantastic restaurant. Gustavo at the lovely rooftop bar was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast buffet was good. It was walkable to the university area we wanted to explore.

We like everything about Hotel Mondego. Federico and Eduardo was very knowledgeable about the area and places to eat or visit. Gabrielle was great as well. Overall all of them has great customer service skills. We will stayed in Hotel Mondego again.

This was a fabulous hotel. Large rooms, clean, walk in shower. Close to train station, taxi stand outside door, walk to town. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Mini fridge.
The only thing it didnt have a safety deposit box in the room.

Great mid-sized hotel with stylish rooms, good air-con and easy access to Coimbra's attractions. The staff were really friendly and helpful as well. Coimbra is definitely worth a visit - the church and the university are beautiful and it has a very relaxed atmosphere.

Hotel is situated just across Coimbra A train station. Very easy to connect to Coimbra B train station and take other trains in different directions.

The bed was super comfortable with fluffy pillows and a soft, plush blanket. The towels smelled great and I liked the shower products provided. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Mondego. The front desk staff made me feel welcome and they helped with throughout my stay. Great experience here ~ thank you!

A short bolt journey from the rail station. Convenient location to main attractions. Hotel clean but too much air freshener for us. Lovely bathroom. No kettle in room which I would expect for the rate per night. Don't bother with breakfast which was disappointing.

This place is much smaller than it appears online. And the only view was from the rooftop deck in the bar (which did have a great view). The staff were all very nice, and the bartender was willing to create a new drink that he thought I might like (I did). There is a grocery store about a block away. We got the. Real fast buffet, which included plenty of hot and cold food. The neighborhood seemed a bit run down, which was disappointing, but the hotel was updated, clean, and nicely decorated.
