The place was very cosy, feel like at home feeling. It was exceptionally clean, bright, with friendly staff. Every morning breakfast was freshly made and tasty. Location was perfect with beautiful views (although was challenging to climb hill with luggages, but it could be counted as morning/evening fitness activity)

The accommodation is lovely and modernly furnished, overall very well maintained and clean and centrally located in Horta. Horta, the center of Faial, is a good starting point for all activities on the island. We were welcomed very nicely and received helpful tips for our stay. The breakfast was perfectly fine and is served in the communal kitchen (8.00 - 09.30). Several good restaurants, shops, and the port are within walking distance. Overall, however, a rental car for Faial is definitely recommended, as the buses only run a few times a day. A taxi from the airport to the accommodation costs 11-15€. The owners offer a whalewatching tour, which was very worthy from our point of view, as we felt their passion for the animals and the ocean. In addition to the unique experiences with whales and dolphins, we also received interesting information in advance.

We had booked a room with a sea view. Because of the street directly in front of the house, it was often too loud to sleep with open windows. However, this is only a small point of criticism.

The modern and bespoke atmosphere and style. Nice to be somewhere which reflected the interest of the area especially as we’re very interested in marine wildlife. The breakfast was excellent and our host was very attentive during breakfast and during our stay. The room was very comfortable in terms of facilities but too hot - see below.

It was particularly warm during our stay and although the electric fan helped, our room was over warm and stuffy. In the breakfast room it was the same and the sun poured in via the front door which made it uncomfortable to sit at the table unless there was space in the shade. A blind of some sort is needed on the front door as they are on the windows. We also missed having our own balcony or at least a communal space (with shade) to enjoy the view etc. Shame the balcony on one of the rooms isn’t used as a communal space - great if you are able to book that room but not so if it isn’t available.

The property has a great location. A beautiful view of the Pico mountain. very tastefully decorated and above all a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good also.

I liked everything.
