The house was wonderful! The hosts attention to detail was superb and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful mountain getaway!

It was a nice place to stay our biggest issue was that only one shower worked which was difficult with 6 family members. Other than that we enjoyed the quiet stay in the mountains.

Our stay was great! -could use a couple more kitchen equipment items (a large knife, large containers) -would benefit from a pergola shaded or gazebo shaded area to enjoy the outdoors better when it’s super hot and sunny -a spray cleaning product would be beneficial for cleaning counters between meals, etc. -would love a ceiling fan in the bedrooms!

Overall good stay…the attention to detail with cleaning could have been better as we noticed wall stains, cobwebs and insects inside and around the property and the deck areas badly needed to be swept. The cleaning crew showed up earlier than our check out and didn’t speak English or want to leave once they arrived. With a few minor improvements this place would get 5 stars.

A perfect place on "the peaceful side". Close to everything and everywhere we needed to be when we came up for a wedding in Townsend, but secluded enough to feel away from it all. We loved the open floor plan and the two dens. The place was immaculate and there was plenty of room for our family of four.

The property is even more beautiful in person than in the photos - spacious kitchen & living areas, pastoral mountain views, feels like ‘getting away’ yet is very close to town. The house was also very clean, well furnished, light & airy with many windows, soothing decor, & nicely furnished outdoor porches. The Bear Tootin property managers were extremely responsive - we a few issues with check in where the key pad battery had died & the housekeeping hadn’t been fully completed before check in time. Bear Tootin responded immediately & very quickly had everything fixed. They even arranged shipment for some personal belongings we accidentally left behind. We had a wonderful stay at Peace of Paradise, and hope to visit again soon. Highly recommended!

We booked this home for our 10-year anniversary trip and the stay was great! I am very familiar with the Townsend area but my husband has never been. We’re from the south where you don’t drive into someone’s driveway so at first we were a little sketched out but once we made it to the property, we were blown away. This home has the perfect view. The outside could use a little TLC but the side deck with table and the hot tub were both amazing. We will definitely be returning.

If you want easy access to Great Smoky Mountain National Park, 5 miles to Cades Cove and hiking trails, this is an ideal place to stay! The house is incredibly charming, kitchen is well-stocked, each room has large windows with lots of natural light, and the view of the mountains is stunning. It is an older home and while updates have been made, the oven did not work and could not repaired during our stay. The refrigerator doesn't have an icemaker. One bathroom is original to the house and lacks water pressure when showering. That bathroom also had an issue with the toilet and maintence had to come out. The property manager responded quickly and offered to relocate us to another property or give us a refund. We know that these things can happen at any place you stay, and the management was very accommodating. The second bathroom had good water pressure and functioned fine. The house is very spacious with more room than the pictures suggest. It's conveniently located to gas stations, groceries, restaurants, a Jeep outpost...all with NO traffic!
