We were immediately impressed by the warm welcome and friendliness of the staff upon our arrival. They thoroughly explained the hotel’s facilities, parking options, and gave helpful tips on getting around the property. Our room was spacious, equipped with plenty of in-room amenities including a kitchenette, washing machine, and a large, comfortable bed.
The location of our room was perfect, just a minute away from the onsen and fitness area, making it incredibly convenient. The public onsen was excellent, with an outdoor option, and we were even able to reserve a complimentary private onsen, which was a wonderful touch.
The hotel staff were consistently kind and attentive, and the on-site restaurant exceeded our expectations. The Yuzu Ramen and dumplings were especially good, and the buffet breakfast offered a huge selection of both Japanese and Western dishes.
We couldn’t find anything negative about our stay, and we will definitely be returning!

The hotel is new and modern. The staff speaks fluent English. You can see Mt.Yotei from the hotel! The room is huge and suitable for family. There is a kitchen and accessories for cooking. Perfect for long stay as well

看到羊蹄山的風景，房間設施應有盡有，早餐也是非常美味，幾乎北海道料理都吃得到，一樓還有阿夫利可以吃，超級完美！

ニセコクラシックのレース当日の朝食で、朝4時からやっているのはありがたいのですが、普段の朝食より種類が変わっており、せめてヨーグルト、シリアル、果物は充実して欲しかった。この3つは普段はあるのに、当日はヨーグルトしかなかった。

Room facilities exceeded expectation and very comfy beds.
In hotel restaurants great food, particularly Afuri- great value and worth the queuing.

The room is light, new, spacious. The amenities in the room, with the dishwasher, washing machine etc are just great. Overall service from the staff is excellent, they arrange everything you request. The design of the hotel is just awesome, they really put a lot of effort in every detail. Do try the suhi omakashe restaurant, great experience!
We absolutely hated the beds!! They are so uncomfortable and the pillows are just completely useless. I really do not understand that they put so much effort in designing the hotel, but pay no attention on offering decent mattresses and pillows. At this price point they really should do better. I also did not like the way the breakfast is organized. You have to set up your own table, by collecting knives, forks from a plastic tray. The coffee is offered in a paper coffee cup, which is very poor and weird if you ask me. These are items which should be improved for overall better experience.

Everything it is perfect.. Good location.. Lawson is opposite the hotel just across the road.. Room is very nice and clean.. Planty of space.. And have the washing machine in the room...breakfast have choices for the western food and Japanese food.. Will be back again..

This holiday at the Setsu was a birthday present for my wife, who works hard in the medical field. We were not disappointed and in fact pleasantly surprised at this new hotel in Hirafu. The hotel service was outstanding and the room was beautifully designed with numerous extra appliances (washing machine, dishwasher) that my wife loved. This hotel challenges the five-star Park Hyatt in quality of stay, yet charges half the rates of that top-ranked hotel. The staff kindly wrote a a personal birthday card for her, and a birthday cake waiting in the refrigerator. We were touched by the personal service. Later I met the hotel manager, Ms. Tomata, to express my appreciation. Finally, the private onsen, public onsen, yoga classes and workout gym were a luxury bonus that we enjoyed.
For Hokkaido residents, hotels charging for parking is unusual and leaves a poor impression. I would like that fee reconsidered in order to attract more local guests.
