Quiet and Nice Rooms. We will definitely be back

Check in was fast,easy and nice. The room was huge and comfortable. They don't advertise breakfast,but in the lounge in a fridge,they have a few breakfast items,coffee pods and creamer,muffins etc..There is a restaurant on site,which we didn't try ,and music on the patio the nights we were there. The grounds were very nice as well,and it's a great place to walk. Everybody that I talked to that worked there was extremely nice and helpful. .Parking is weird. It's a lodge,so you park at top where the restaurant in the lodge is and walk down to your room. The only people that can park at the rooms are people on motorcycles. Just letting you know so you can be aware. The shower in our room took forever to get hot,then as soon as I got conditioner in my hair it turned freezing cold for about two minutes,then scalding hot again. These are things I'm sure they will get worked out as time goes on. They have just took over the lodge,so they are working on fixing things. Another thing that is NOT their fault was somebody staying there had a small dog that sounded like a Chihuahua. It woke us up every morning before 7 barking. Very annoying. We will stay again

The rooms were very clean and comfortable beds. A lot of “ extras” to make you feel welcomed. Customer Service was Superb!

The resort is under new management and will probably be much nicer once the renovations are finished. However, at the time we stayed there the room was below par. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, and you could hear everything through the walls.

Non smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke. Thin walls and very noisy. Carpet in room was dirty.

I was traveling with my dog, who is a little skittish. The folks in the lobby, including the owner, were so welcoming that it set the stage for a really nice stay. The owner is new, having bought it last month, and it appears that she really wants to make this place work. All the components look to be coming together, and this place will be a winner. The restaurant was not yet open but they hope to have it open by the end of August, maybe sooner.

This is a gem! For the price i wasnt expecting more than a bed. Bed was so comfortable!! Room was adorable and bathroom and shower were great. Local made bars of soap. Ive never been greeted at a hotel like i was family! She even told me some of her favorite places nearby, views, etc. I spoke to her about my trip and long drive and she moved me to a more quiet room with a view. When i left she gave me a hig and wished me well on the remainder of the drive. Its clear theres some updates happening but it was such a cute quaint place. So relaxing and just what i needed after a drive. Nothing luxury, basic breakfast items self serve. Games and books in the guest lobby. Again, nothing overly luxury, but was so simple and homey.

Off the beat and path, a hidden goldmine, sat on the back porch and watched a doe and her two fawns near the creek eating foliage, very relaxing.

I like the area it was very quite and the service was great. They are making great improvements.

The property was in disarray. Pool was closed, lobby/restaurant was closed, and the "River view" should be changed to "Near a creek". The sheets were stained and there was broken glass on the bathroom floor. The front desk was nice but I would not recommend staying at this property at this time.

Pool was terrible, grounds unkept.

The property was sold and no breakfast and we stayed there expecting the pool to bevopened but discovered it was closed when we went down to swim.

The place was ok. Room rather small. Parking was not convenient. Might be a good place for a group, but individually, not so much. Wasn't close to restaurants or shopping or any activities.

Not what was anticipated! Room was not clean (used condom) behind night stand. Shower was unclean. Had to call night service number to get hot water. Walls are paper thin. Could hear every word and TV all night from room next door. The lodge is not being upkept. Property is pretty! But Lodge is being neglected. Bed was old and cheap..could feel springs in the mattress. Pool was closed.

BEAUTIFUL setting. Our 2 rooms were at opposite ends (our guest is handicapped), but mgr switched rms for him so his rm was next to ours, and allowed me to park close to guest's rm. If we can attend the games next yr, we'll come back here.

Is this abandoned? The pool is not swimmable. There is not a soul in sight at the place. They left us our key, but it was “full” I got the “last room”. Baloney!

We pulled in with reservations to a deserted lodge. Not one car in the parking lot. No employees. Doors locked. No dining. No bar. Pool was green. Only an envelope with my with the key placed in the slot by the front entrance. Pretty scary. We’d driven for 11 hrs. to find this. We had nowhere to go so we took the chance and stayed that night. What was odd is that not one person contacted us prior to let us know these conditions. I expect compensation/refund. Hotels.com should stay on top of who they represent and book. Shame on the lodge management.

Overall, was an ok place to stay. Very quiet while we were there. Could have been a little cleaner. Easy to check in and check out.

Used to be a nice place. Lot of wear. I booked a creekside room had a room that looked at trash and junk. Bugs in thw bathtub. Towels stained. Looks like someone used them to clean bike. Place is up for auction at the end of the month. I wanted to leave as soon as we got here but hubby made us stay.

The room was perfect for our one night stay. We never saw anyone in the front office and parking was a bit scarce near the room, but everything was clean and the property was in a beautiful location on a creek. This was perfect for the price. We would stay here again.

The room was renovated. The hotel is on a great location. The problem is that property is not well managed maybe. It seems that it was a great resort ago, but now no people on the property. But we spent a wonderful time and definitely will back again

It was a cozy lil place for the money but we tried calling multiple times before check in(3days prior) left messages and no returned call

The Copperhead Lodge left me stranded! As per the rules of the property, I called the day before I was to check in, since they wouldn't have Front Desk staff on site at the time I was going to arrive, and I would still need to get in. Everytime I called-- the day prior, the morning of my trip, at pit stops -- I got the same voicemail that said they were busy with other customers. All of these calls were placed during their listed Front Desk hours. They never called me back. I had to scramble to find another hotel for that night. I called the Lodge twice the next morning shortkly after their Front Desk hours started and the same. Contacted Expedia and they called them and got no answer. Conveniently, they were able to respond when Expedia was going to force them to refund my money! This hotel is a scam business, and I'm sure they do this to many people. TRAVELER BEWARE!

Peaceful

This was our second stay here. Very nice. Comfortable and clean. Beautiful area. Have friends in the area and stop here on our way home from Florida to visit. Will always make this our go to stay when in the area.
