The day without electricity

It's a very calm and quiet place at a nice cliff with direct access to the sea. Apartments are very spacious with a big balcony and all necessary items have been provided. Value for money is just great.

Kitchenware is not in the best shape but its alright considering the cheap price

Marazul is a noce resort in Westpunt in proximity to some of the best beaches on the island and some nice restaurants. Each property is individually owned, so the level of equipment varies according to the owner. Payment methods are also chosen by the owner. The studio in question is located on the second row, with no sea view and access only from the first floor. The equipment is fair, has everything you need-utensils, internet,TV, comfortable bed. The overall value is good. For a short stay it is quite fine.

I was not warned that the access is only from the first floor. I have an injury which makes it harder to walk stairs, especially with heavy luggage and groceries. Overall the equipment was cheap-plastic table on the balcony, plastic bowls, microwave, no oven. There is a satellite cable hanging in the balcony at eye level, which is not pleasant when you exist. The way the studio gives the impression of do it yourself. While the communication with the owner was overall fine and she was OK with me staying a couple of hours later on checkout at 11 am, there was a change of plan literally overnight with me receiving messages at 3 am that I have to leave early. I was charging the phone so I saw them only when the cleaning lady came at 12 to tell me to leave because the other visitors were already there! I told her and the owner that I need an hour to get ready, but I was pestered literally every 15 minutes to leave because the other tourists are there, even after the owner had agreed to this extra hour. Needless to say, this is not a way to treat a customer, more so that this changed literally happened overnight without my knowledge.

I like Marazul. It's a quite place, great for relaxation. We had a studio. The size of the room was good. it had a quite spacious fridge, electric stove top, microwave, electric kettle and coffee maker. Pots, pans, plates, glasses and cutlery were available in the room, also garbage bags, salt & pepper and dish soap. Some supplies are available for purchase at the concierge.

After our stay my partner and I both had backache a couple of days. I would highly recommend to replace the wall fan which was not working as we were requested not to have the AC on during daytime and it was quite hot. Both inside and outside. For the balcony I would highly recommend to put some shading, canopy or canvas to make it possible to sit outside and enjoy the balcony during daytime. I would also highly recommend room darkening curtains to avoid waking up at 6am.
