Welcome to The Wester House on Bald Head Island
"The Wester House" fue la primera casa construida en Bald Head Island y forma parte de la Generator Society original, compuesta por casas construidas antes de que hubiera electricidad disponible. Dr. Wester y su familia construyeron un retiro único para su familia para crear muchos recuerdos. Ahora están dando la bienvenida a otras familias para que pasen por la misma gran isla. La casa ha sido completamente actualizada, remodelada y tiene todos los muebles nuevos. Ubicada a solo media milla de la playa, el plano de planta de un nivel hace que la casa expansiva sea perfecta para toda tu familia. Tienen 4 habitaciones en total con un área adicional para dormir. La primera suite principal incluye una cama king con increíbles vistas del campo de golf. La segunda suite principal tiene un rey con un sofá cama. También hay una habitaci��n adjunta con una cama de día. Esta sala está entre las favoritas para los niños con muchos juegos de mesa. El tercer dormitorio también tiene una cama king size y el cuarto tiene una cama doble. Hay 4 baños en total en la casa. El segundo y tercer dormitorio comparten una ducha, pero tienen su propio tocador y inodoro separados. Hay un montón de espacio en la sala de estar, así como una sala de sol separada si necesita algo de privacidad. La cocina está completamente equipada por encima y más allá! No se ha perdido nada para hacer su estancia lo más agradable posible. También hay una zona de bar separada que está equipada con cristalería, licuadora y un exprimidor. Disfrute de las comidas familiares en el comedor con vista a la magnífica vista del campo de golf o cene en la terraza exterior a la sombra de un enorme árbol de roble. Las salas de estar y comedores se abren a la gran cubierta que da al green 12 en el campo de golf. Disfruta de vivir en armonía con la naturaleza, que incluye una cascada en el jardín desde la cubierta trasera. Observe a los golfistas pasar o los diversos ciervos y la vida silvestre deambulan por la isla. Tienen (2) carritos de golf para cuatro pasajeros con su alquiler, wifi, bicicletas y un montón de equipo de playa.

The Wester House was just as described and pictured and made for a perfect beach trip with our family ages 82 to 14! Very comfortable and a perfect location on the island. The oven broke during the week and the owner had it repaired quickly, just in time for us to cook grandma's biscuits! Thanks so much and we hope to return again soon.

Well appointed and clean! This house really tells you the story of Bald Head! Loved all the space inside and out! The large lot makes for a very private home. Plenty of beds and baths.

My family and I were very pleased with our rental at Bald Head! It’s a great house. Plenty of room for everyone, great extras like bikes (adults and kids), beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys for kids, etc. Kitchen was thankfully stocked as well for cooking since a lot of the restaurants were closed. It was remarkably clean too considering the amount of bugs and tree debris in the vicinity. There were a few resident snakes around the property, so it’s something to consider if you have little ones who wander (none of them were venomous and they all minded their own business, but made me think twice about letting my toddler walk around in certain areas alone). We had lots of bugs around in the evening time, and luckily brought some citronella candles and bug spray so we could enjoy the deck in the evenings. Overall, it was great! Highly recommend.

We have stayed in several houses on BHI and this is by far our favorite! The location is perfect and the view of the golf course picturesque. The home was very clean and very comfortable.

This house is great for cocktails on the deck, watching the egrets roost, deer strolling by, and quiet nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here - the kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable and the proximity to everything can't be beat. Thanks Wester House for a great week!

We loved staying at this beautiful, spacious house. Lovely location surrounded by oaks with Spanish moss, with wonderful inland view from the deck. Egrets flew by one by one every day as it got close to sunset, and we found them settling in to roost for the night at a nearby pond ~ utterly magical. Easy golf cart ride to the beach and market, and so nice to have golf carts, bikes, beach chairs, beach umbrella, sand toys, and floats/boogie boards provided.

We took my son and 6 of his friends that all recently graduated from high school to celebrate and all had an amazing time. The house was perfect for what we needed, great amenities and an amazing story behind the house. Wonderful large deck that overlooks the golf course and allows you to chill in the cool evenings and early mornings.

This cozy house has it all - spacious room, beautiful aesthetic, charm, and authentic Bald head views all around. This was the perfect house for our family vacation. The house is well stocked to make your visit comfortable and fun. Can't wait to stay here again.

We loved The Wester House and would not hesitate to stay there again. The house and property are beautiful! The beds were VERY comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, just an amazing vacation. It was hard to leave today but we will be back!

The home was exactly as presented. We were looking for a place where our two daughters and their families could join us for Thanksgiving with a level of isolation that would allow us to remain relatively assured of our health risks. It was also important for us to have things to do - the beach and bike rides being the most important. We all had a magnificent time! It was like staying at a family home rather than some anonymous rental property.

This was a perfect "break from life" for our family. The house was great. Had a lot of little knick knacks (breakables) that might not be great for families with littles. We learned a lot of history about the island just from the things in the house so that was awesome. We will definitely stay here again!

We loved staying in this clean, unique, beautiful home. The layout was spacious & had room for everyone to spread out. We loved the personal touches throughout. Nice golf carts & well-stocked kitchen. The porch & rocking chairs were the perfect place for cocktails in the evenings. We’d love to visit again!

We had a great time at this clean, lovely property. We enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen, the outdoor showers, and the bikes. The house feels well-loved. We were able to spread out and not be on top of one another. We’d come back to this lovely historic home!

My parents, husband and 2 kiddos had the best time. The house was cozy and had everything we needed to cook and eat in. Mosquitos were a little pesky so not a l out of outside time in the evening but overall we really enjoyed the house and it was a great way to stay for our 7th family visit at BHI.

Our family spent Thanksgiving at the Wester House and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. The house is so homey and comfortable, and the kitchen was incredibly well stocked. We really enjoyed watching the wildlife from the huge windows overlooking the woods and the golf course. Best of all, the house is such a cool piece of the island’s history. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cozy and relaxing escape!
