Great home...was everything we could ask for!!! Thank you

There were 6 of us, 2 seniors, 2adults, and 2 teenagers. Accommodations were excellent. Plenty of room for everyone. Games room and hot tub were a big hit with everyone. Kitchen had everything. Used the community pools several times. Our stay was wonderful.

Beautiful cabin noisy neighbors party way into the morning with 4 Wheelers constant. Furniture is not for older people no comfortable at all . Also pricey esp when we can check in till 4:00 pm and have to check out at 10 am. If you figure it out very expensive. Plus all the add on charges will keep my family away.

Very beautiful property and clean. Met all our needs. Easy check in check out is basic as other rentals. Enjoyed the hot tub. Went to the pool once was overloaded with kids. Only recommendation is an adult only hour or two at the pool. Game room was amazing wish we had more time to enjoy (exhausted after riding all day) . Ice machine by the wet bar😁Will definitely rent again location was also great not far from Lead/Deadwood. Ultimately a great place. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

The house was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed being able to spread out over three floors. All of us enjoyed the game room and the hot tub. In fact, the younger kids would have been happy running from the game room to the hot tub all day. The house was large and had plenty of kitchen supplies and storage areas. We also appreciated the laundry machines. We did have a small issue with the fancy, dancy lock device on the garage door entry. It quit working the second day we were there. We contacted the property manager and he gave us the code to the front door of the house. This was much, much, much, much more efficient than the door lock going into the garage. I am convinced the only people that lock would keep out would be those renting the property. It would have been much less stressful if we would have been given the front door code from the beginning. Only one concern. We were told that quiet hours were from 10-7 a.m. each day. The first two nights the gentleman's club operating next to us did not follow those guidelines. Both nights we had yelling, laughing, music, etc. until 4:30 a.m. The third night they were relatively quiet but there were two guys throwing up on the lawn when we woke up. To our relief, they checked out and it was peaceful and quiet for the rest of our stay. This is something that should have been handled the first night by the security staff at the welcome center. Other than that isolated incident, we had an enjoyable stay.

Wow, the Kickback Shack was the perfect choice for our 2 families/group of 12. Beautiful house, with the huge game room as a bonus! Our wide age range of kids had the greatest time with all the different game options! Even little tractors and books for our 3 year old son. This house had it all! We were sad to leave, and we would highly recommend it to anyone!

We arrived to the Kickback Shack at night and in a heavy snowstorm. As we neared the property, we noticed a bright light coming toward us... a snowmobile trail groomer! This location must be epic, we thought. And as we soon discovered, it was. The property owner provided us with excellent directions and as we pulled into the epoxied floors of the oversized garage, we couldn't help but marvel at this perfect place to bring your toys for a family getaway. Upon entering the home, we were greeted by a handwritten note from the owners along with a gift of local buffalo snack sticks and custom Kickback Shack tumblers. Our traveling companions had arrived before us, and soon all the kids were racing around choosing which bedroom to claim. There were so many places to sleep, each room exceedingly well-appointed and perfect for two families traveling together with room for even more. Soon we followed our kids' excited screams to the basement, where they had discovered the massive game room. We picked up an impromptu game of shuffleboard and then decided to crack open some vino, make some snacks and unwind in the hot tub. We found everything we needed in the kitchen to make ourselves at home. This place is incredible. Following the coziest night's sleep after a long day on the road, we woke up early to enjoy our coffee from the hot tub once more. The sun was shining on the newly fallen snow, and we couldn't believe the beauty of the mature, tall pines surrounding this home. While located in a brand-new development, it felt very private and secluded. A total hidden gem. The Kickback Shack served as a pass-through pitstop as we returned to Minnesota from a week-long ski trip out west. Ironically, this place proved to be the real destination, and we can't wait to return to this beautiful retreat among the pines.

This property had everything you could need. Clean and comfortable. Plenty of space for everyone with lots of entertainment. Property manager was quick to respond as well.

We were glad to have enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone, plus great common areas to spend time together. The game room was a lot of fun. Missed the hot tub but enjoyed the pool. Kitchen was well stocked.

We took our family and kids’ friends to Terry Peak to ski before Christmas. The Kickback Shack was so clean, so spacious, so comfortable, and so relaxing. It was even better than advertised! The few issues we had were promptly resolved by the property manager and communication was seamless. We had a fabulous time and hope to return again in the summer!

We came here for a long weekend of utv riding, the house did not disappoint. It’s a nearly new home with cool western architectural details. The house is fairly well decorated, the garage floors are coated and they even have a power washer on site. The pool and Comunity room is not far from the house, though we didn’t spend any time there.

Family and friends really enjoyed our stay at the Kickback Shack. Everything was clean and organized for our stay -- the house is spacious with an open layout. Everything we needed was there. The kids enjoyed the clubhouse and outdoor pool. We would definitely rent again if we find ourselves in the area. Many thanks to the great hosts!

Love staying in Powderhouse Pass neighborhood. This is my 4th home in the neighborhood that we have used and we will keep returning to the area. Keep coming for the hiking around Lead, the slower pace than the areas by Mount Rushmore, the Clubhouse and pool are super fun. The home itself is very nice. We were among the first renters and the house smelled strongly of paint or some kind of finish, but that will obviously wear off. Also, we had a lot of problems figuring out the key code process, not intuitive, and could not reach the property owner, not sure why that was. Outside of the strong smell of paint and difficulty checking in, everything else was top notch and we would recommend this home.

This property is exactly as it is portrayed in the photos; spacious, mid-century / rustic decor and pretty views. It feels secluded but is only a 5 minute drive into Deadwood and cab service is available. Vaulted ceilings with extra windows allow for a lot of natural light, enhancing the rustic vibe. The nights were cool so we really enjoyed the large fire pit right on the main deck as well as the hot tub on the lower level patio. The main living space is a well thought out open-concept, which was perfect for game night and snacks. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed for prep/cooking/service. Wi-fi was extremely fast for anyone who needs to get a little work done on vacation...which was a concern because the Black Hills in general can be very spotty. TVs in every bedroom was also a bonus for the tv watchers in our group. We only had a couple of questions for the owner upon arrival and he was immediately available and even helped us to finalize our sight-seeing plans with suggestions and directions. It's a beautiful property and they've really put a lot of effort into anticipating and meeting the needs of their guests, They even had some cute welcome gifts for us! Oh... and I especially liked the shampoo/conditioner/ body wash dispensers in the showers...very nice detail!!!

This was a large new, wonderful, clean, beautiful, modern, easy access home. We were happy the garages were available for our vehicles as storms went through the area while staying. The owner was easy to work with responding quickly to any of our questions during our stay. It was absolutely perfect for our group. For all of these reasons, we will definitely be looking at this property to rent again. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
