Lisa was a warm and generous host who sent great communications but was respectful of our privacy when we visited. There were nice touches like the provision of milk, water, tea, coffee, sugar, and some breakfast brunch bars and chocolates. There were also some complimentary toiletries provided. The lodge was of quirky construction and tastefully decorated whilst still seeming homely. It has some lovely soft furnishings and great artwork both on the walls and in the coffee table books. Overall, it is extremely spacious yet retaining a cosy charm. The bed is supremely comfortable and we both slept like logs. It was amazing to wake to bird song and the cute outside space. All in all the private garden space is delightful. We had a great stay and would certainly recommend .

The doors were rustic and quirky but didn't close fully. In most areas this was fine, but on the bathroom it was a little bit disconcerting, despite the provision of the frog doorstop. We visited at the start of winter and found it a little bit chilly in the bedroom. However, there is an air conditioning / heater unit in the main sitting area which heated things up nicely. Plus there was the provision of some nice throws . There is no iron or ironing board but a quick text to Lisa and she lent me hers immediately.
