The directions to the property could do with a little more emphasis on the difficulty of exiting the road the property is on. We found a parking space almost outside, easy. Leaving to go to a wedding the next day not so easy. The sat nav got confused and took us down a very steep street which was actually not meant for cars, not so good. Very sweaty moment at the bottom and really not possible to reverse up safely. negotiating the bollards/barriers required strong nerves and patience and crossing a predestrail walkway, so not ideal. The best advice is not to park in that street unless comfortable reversing in tightspaces.

The flat was very clean, very quiet, nicely decorated, and centrally located. The proprietor was clear in her instructions on how to arrive, the key, and parking. The flat is on the small side, but absolutely fine for a couple on a short stay. Given its position on the historic pousterle, there was no traffic or noise from cars. The neighborhood was also pleasant because of the plants, flowers, and art on the stairs and the street above. It was also quite shady and nice to come home to after being in the summer heat.

It really was complicated for us to arrive with the car, but not surprising given that we were first-time visitors to Auch, and the flat is in the historic centre. The host had kindly warned us about this in advance, and gave us clear information to help facilitate getting to the flat and to find parking. We luckily found a spot in the nearby Place Salinis, next to the cathedral, and left the car there the entire time. Our Kia Niro was slightly too big for comfortable maneuvering, but I think a compact car could get in and out of the street easily if you have to get close with a car.
