Location close to airport avoiding a long drive on the island roads. Close to Argostoli by car and walking distance to local village amenities. Fabulous and generous welcome pack on arrival. Villa was very clean and contacts on hand to resolve any problems.
Would thoroughly recommend for a relaxing family holiday.

5 star across the board for this Villa, everything you could need and more, lots of space, everything you want in a home if you just wanted to lock yourself away for a few days and soak up the sun and the lovely little, growing village that is Lakithra. We did that on several occasions. So much so we curtailed many of our travel plans just to chill out and enjoy the surroundings. we will be booking this villa again; the pool is amazing.
4.8
The villa was clean and well equipped. There were lovely views, especially from the balcony. The pool was lovely. There were nice tavernas and restaurants a short walk away, a convenience store and bakery in the village. There were 3 supermarkets within a 15 minute drive. Nowhere on the island was more than an hour’s drive.

Would echo the comments below. Just back from a week stay at Villa Argente with in-laws and two children (aged 9 and 12). The villa is very spacious with beautiful views over to Agostoli. The location is great with enough nearby restaurants to cater for the week, and a local mini-market with sufficient supplies. The villa was, pleasantly, well-equipped, especially with kitchen utensils which can often be lacking in other properties we've rented. A hire car is a must for those wanting to see more of the island. The villa is well placed for trips to Sami, the caves and a multitude of beaches. We went to a beach near the airport in the evening, which was lovely, but spent a day at Kamina beach which was fantastic. While the villa is close to the airport, there are no noise disturbances at all from planes, which are barely noticeable. Communication with the owner was excellent and they were very accommodating (thank you). From all of our perspectives, a faultless holiday.

We stayed at this Villa in July. Great location from which to explore Kefalonia and a lovely well maintained pool. Villa was very clean and had everything we needed during our stay. Fantastic welcome pack on arrival, the cold beer was much appreciated! Nearby bakery and also good places to eat in Lakithra. Lovely views over Argostoli in the evening from the balcony. We will definitely be back!

Our 2020 holiday to Kefalonia was cancelled (Covid) so we were really pleased to be finally making it and Villa Argante surpassed all our expectations. The location, accommodation, gardens, pool and welcome pack all exceeded our expectations which were pretty high to start with.
Lakithra is well placed and has all the services in the village you could possibly need and additionally there are three large supermarkets within a ten minute drive on the road to Argostoli. The bakery and pizzeria are a five minute stroll and the Obelix Grill House, our favourite, is about the same which was perfect for a beer drinking driver. There are plenty of tavernas and cafes in the area to meet all tastes and budgets.
Argostoli is well worth a visit both in the daytime and evenings. During the daytime the presence of a cruise ship will indicate a slightly more crowded experience but the turtles are a treat. Asia Effimia and Sami were also visited and we used Lourdas beach for the most part as being able to park close to your attended sunbed (8 euros a set)
with a number of tavernas was too convenient. The late auction for sunbed and beach bar licences meant that in mid-June many of the smaller beaches still lacked these facilities.
Overall a superb holiday in a thoroughly recommended

Villa Argante was undoubtedly the best villa we have ever stayed in. It is so well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The view from the huge upstairs balcony is breathtaking and the pool is gorgeous. The villa is set within a lovely colourful garden. The location is also good. Only a short ride from the airport means you can start enjoying your holiday immediately!! Lakithra is a lovely village with several restaurants within walking distance and a lovely bakery which we used daily. We rented a car for the entire holiday and I would recommend this to explore the many sites Kefalonia has to offer. We would return in a heartbeat.

Stayed here with the family in Aug 22, great villa with a lovely pool. Local shop and a few nice restaurants walkable from the villa, with the main town just a short 10min drive back down the hill. House was immaculate and local support via Michelle was spot on. Would definitely recommend.

Superb!
This villa is fantastically well equipped and provides the perfect based for a holiday in beautiful Kefalonia. It's close to the airport so transfers are very short. The villa is also located in a small village with a range of restaurants, shops and bakeries in walking distance. We loved this villa and will definitely be returning.

Tired and outdated sadly
This was our second stay in this villa and it has sadly deteriorated since our first visit.
Needs a big revamp to bring to modern times.
Sheets and towels need renewing and furniture updating honestly also CD/ cassette player is totally outdated.
Desperately need proper wine, gin, beer glasses to replace the mish mash are there now.
BBQ all needs replacing with proper utensils.
We had a lovely week here but for what you charge to rent compared with villas we stay in elsewhere Villa Argante really needs to up its game.

Highly Recommended
Villa Argante was just perfect for my family of 3 adults and 2 children (14 and 11). The location has everything you could need within easy walking distance although I do recommend hiring a car to further explore Kefalonia.
Communication with David was first class.
From the moment of arrival to leaving we enjoyed the Villa's space, quality and location together with the warm and friendly welcome we received from Isobel.
The villa is spacious, very well furnished and also has comfortable beds!
The upper balcony is perfect for chilling out and soaking up the fantastic view of Argostoli and the sunsets.
We really did not want to leave and hope to return to Villa Argante again in the not too distant future.
Thank you David for allowing us to share your lovely Villa!

Perfect Villa!
My family stayed at Villa Argante for two weeks this summer for a wedding in the area. From start to finish they loved it. It was clean, spacious, well equipped and maintained. They are already looking into booking for next summer!

Awesome end of season break!
Weve visited this villa several times now as a family and it's safe to say we love it! The villa is stunning with awesome views and has literally every utensil youd need to have a great holiday!
We came at the end of the season and expected cloudy days but we were wrong pretty much 26/27 degree weather all week with a couple of incredible overnight storms to watch from the amazing terrace upstairs, perfect to watch playing cards and having a vino or two!
Isobelle was lovely too if we needed anything she didnt hesitate to help which we really appreciated!
Any family/friend group would love this villa it's pretty much perfect!

Perfect stay
Many thanks to David, Elaine and Isobel for a wonderful stay. The villa is in a lovely location with fabulous views. The villa is beautifully designed and extremely well-equipped, the air con is good, and the pool delightful. It's all very clean both outside and in, and a very comfortable place to stay.
Our flight was too early for us to check in, but we were able to drop off our luggage which was a big help, and we met David and Elaine's lovely daughter and family who were very kind. We were discombobulated after a very early flight, and they made sure we were OK, put our luggage safe and gave us a very welcome cold bottle of water from the fridge, and some great tips for going to Argostoli and Lassi - and Lidl!
The welcome pack was so useful, and had a great selection and wonderful local honey. Isobel kindly called in the next day to make sure we had everything we needed, she was very helpful and we had a lovely chat, and she gave us some very useful local info as well. It was great to know she was on hand if we had had any problems.
We visited a local restaurant just up the road, En Kefallinia, which was very good, and had a fun time driving all over the island - Lakithra is well-situated for several beaches as well as the main town. David recommended a local car hire firm who were extremely helpful, and reasonably priced.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week and would love to return if we get the chance.

Short transfer, clean lovely Villa and pool, plenty of sun beds and shaded areas. Short walk to the restaurants, bar, cake shop,(yummy) , bakers or stay longer in the pool and have a takeaway. If you need a taxi try Niki or Panos and their card is near the Books in the villa they are very lovely and charge a fair price.
We came away feeling very grateful we booked this villa.

Heaven on Earth
Since the very first time of renting this property, we have felt at home. It's location is perfect for a quiet relaxed holiday. The villa is superb, everything you would ever need has been thought of.
From booking to the very sad last day of your holiday, everything is made easy for you.
Any problems, you have Isobel on hand to help, which is a great bonus.
We have become friends with quite a few of the locals now, it certainly feels like we are coming home, you can feel the stress leave your body as you turn into the drive of Villa Argante. A very big thanks to David & Elaine for letting us share your dream.

Perfect
Love staying here. The house is about 20 minute drive to Argostoli up the hill in Lakithra. A few food options around Lakithra and a couple of supermarkets a few minutes away. Wonderful house and pool.

Fantastic property in a great location to explore the island
The property is very clean and tidy and the gardens and pool well looked after. The kitchen has all the necessary equipment for self catering although there are some restaurants and Bakery in the village. The view from the master bedroom is stunning. Perfect location with Argostoli, supermarkets and the airport all only 5-10 mins and away in the car.

Amazing property with outstanding views!
We had a fabulous stay at Villa Argante. There were five of us in total with an adult with additional needs. The villa catered for us perfectly. Spacious rooms and plenty of outdoor space to relax in meant we could all do our own thing or be together. We particularly enjoyed moving to the upper terrace early evening for aperitif and to watch the sun go down. We appreciated the beautiful roof and lounge furniture up there which is not yet shown in the pictures. The pool was fab and we used it every day. We also appreciated the air con later on in the evening.
Lakithra is a nice wee village and we made good use of the local tavernas on at least three occasions and the food was very good and the service friendly. We also hired cars and it was just a short drive to Argostoli and nearby beaches and a good base to tour the rest of the island. Also it was great to have Isobel coming to clean for us and it was good to know she was close by if we needed help with anything. We would very much like to come back.

Wonderful villa and location
Firstly many thanks to Dave and Elaine for allowing us to rent their beautiful villa.
We have stayed in Lakithra many times but this was our first at Villa Argente, what a great find!!
The location for the village is great and the views off the balcony stunning.
On arrival there was a super welcome pack ( always a bonus) and within an hour Isobel the local manager called to check al was ok.
We had a 3 yr old with us and the layout was greatly child friendly and the pool excellent.
Really and honestly could not find fault, we had a great holiday in a great villa
Many thanks again, hopefully see you again in 2019

Our little piece of Paradise
What can we say, that we haven't already said. Villa is stunning, we had a superb time in Villa Argante, Lakithra. A few new additions to the villa, were appreciated.
I hope it won't be too long before we can come back.

Wonderful Villa
We are two mature couples who were making our first visit to Kefalonia and could not have found a better place to stay. The descriptions of Villa Argante are completely accurate and, if anything, the photographs do not do it justice. The interior is beautifully decorated and very well appointed with everything you could possible need to for a comfortable stay. We particularly appreciated the range of kitchen basics (coffee, tea, oil, seasonings etc) which are so rarely found in rental homes. All the appliances are in good working order. The outside gardens are pretty and very well-maintained and the large pool is beautiful. The villa is not overlooked at all.
The location suited us very well, there are great views out to the sea and mountains, especially from the lovely upstairs balcony, and it is convenient to go out into the large village to try out the restaurants and meet the local people, all of whom we found to be extremely welcoming. The nearby mini-market is amazingly well stocked. We also found it a good base for exploring the island; the sign posting can be rather 'challenging' but being near the capital means you can usually find the right direction to get home!
The property is looked after by Isabel who is charming and very helpful.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Villa Argante to anyone planning to visit this beautiful island.
Top tip for anyone interested in wine is to have tastings of the super Kefalonia wines - what a revelation! Our favourite tasting was at Gentilini winery, followed by the Robola Co-operative.

Just Perfect !!
We have just had a really wonderful holiday at Villa Argante. It was the first time we'd ever had a villa and it was just perfect for us ( family of 6 ). The house is really spacious and has everything you need and more. The pool and surrounding views are beautiful. The location is perfect as you are near the airport and Argostoli also the village has a bakery, small shop and restaurants. The local 'pâtisserie ' sells delicious cakes and a favourite restaurant of ours was ' Ampelaki ' in Argostoli. We definitely hope to book again!

Secluded, exclusive villa in scenic, quiet village location, perfect for a family holiday.
The villa is in an ideal location on the island as the village of Lakithra has everything you may need if you want to eat locally, including a choice of 4 restaurants, a bar, bakery, confectioners and mini mart. It is located only 10 mins from the airport yet no noise or disruption due to the angle of the runway. Argostoli is only 10 mins drive and there are stunning beaches within easy reach.
The quiet track that leads to the villa offers total privacy and seclusion and the garden is. well established and maintained. Stunning views from the upper balcony of sunrise and sunset across Argostoli.
The layout of the villa is conducive to family living and most of our time was naturally spent outside under the large shady patio area, the cute pergola and pool side.
The kitchen is very well equipped and the decor and furnishings stylish and well maintained. The 3 bathrooms with great showers were ideal when everyone wants to get ready at the same time!
Isobel who cleaned the villa twice a week was a fountain of knowledge and it's always reassuring to have a contact should an emergency occur. The villa is spotlessly clean and the extra touches like the welcome pack, and basics provided is very much appreciated.
The ultimate compliment is a rebooking as our 2 weeks holiday are precious to a busy working family and I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be next summer!
Since thanks from the Hodson's.

A wonderful holiday at a wonderful villa!
The villa was delightful, very clean and well equipped. The pool is larger than ones we've had at other villas and it was very well maintained too, as was the very pretty garden surrounding it. The villa is not overlooked and the views from the balcony across to Argostoli harbour are wonderful. David & Elaine's recommendation to hire a car from Akis at Autochoice Car Rental was very useful as Akis met us at the airport and then we were able to follow him for the short drive to the villa. Even though you can get to the villa very quickly from the airport there is no aircraft noise at all. There's a mini-market, a bakery, a wonderful cake shop, a bar and several restaurants all within walking distance. We tried all the restaurants in Lakithra village and didn't have a bad meal in any of them. There's also a Lidl and a Carrefour supermarket a short drive away. Kefalonia is a beautiful island and there's plenty to do. We saw turtles in the harbour at Argostoli thanks to the tip from Isobel (lady who keeps the villa so lovely and clean) and we visited St. George's castle, which has a very nice restaurant just by the gate. There are nice sandy beaches nearby too, if you can drag yourself away from the pool! With two teenagers, having the wifi and Sky was a real plus point. The only problem (for them) was that they used up the 3G daily wifi allowance on most days. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the villa to our family and friends, and in fact have already done so!

Excellent - very well equipped and presented
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Villa Argante. The villa was very clean and extremely well equipped . Isobel was charming and most helpful and we very much appreciated the welcome pack.
The pool and surrounding areas were beautifully kept and we enjoyed the pool very much.
It was great to have so many good little restaurants locally and loved the fresh bread from the bakery in the morning .
All in all the villa certainly lived up to and in fact exceeded our expectations - hope very much to return and would certainly recommend it.

Amazing Villa, Amazing Honeymoon !!!!!
The Villa is located in a very quiet picturesque village just 10 minutes from the airport
The village has all the local amenities which include a supermarket a local bakery, cake shop and a couple of restaurants
when we arrived, the villa was very clean and tidy and as we were on our honeymoon we had Champagne in our welcome pack given to us by the owners.
The villa has all the comforts to help make your stay more enjoyable, like Air conditioning, Satellite TV and Free Wifi.
The pool was cleaned every other day and was always clean inside and out.
The information pack given by the owners telling us about the villa and local news we found was very helpful and informative.
This is the best villa we have ever stayed in and it certainly wont be our last visit. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone who wants a quiet holiday in a secluded villa with its own pool surrounded by stunning views of all the mountains.
For me this villa ticks all the boxes and then some.

Excellent villa, spacious and relaxing
We had an excellent holiday in a very nice villa. It was spacious, clean and well maintained. The garden and pool were lovely. This was our second trip to the island and we will certainly return and that includes the villa. Thank you

5* Villa, Excellent Location, Beautiful Views.
As soon as we arrived, we knew we had chosen well. Villa Argante is immaculately clean (thank you, Isabelle), well equipped and comfortably furnished. Pool and garden are beautifully kept and the views are fabulous. The location is another plus point - only 15 minutes’ drive from the airport, yet semi-rural and private. Bakery, tavernas and mini-market to hand in Lakithra or about a 10 minute drive to the well-stocked AB supermarket. An organic farm restaurant, En Kefallinia, on the edge of the village, is not to be missed – superb food and excellent service (as with a previous reviewer, we also visited three times!). We have had many holidays in privately owned villas and this was by far the best. Many thanks to David & Elaine. We very much look forward to the opportunity to return.

A glimpse of Paradise!
Villa Argante is a wonderful place to stay on a beautiful island. The villa is spacious, clean and has every facility one needs on a holiday. All the bedrooms are of equal size so for 3 adult couple there would not be choice issue except for the downstairs one sharing the bathroom during the daytime. The outside space and pool are perfect for those days when you just want to relax and not go far. During our stay (12 nights) we had 2 linen changes. Kefalionia is a beautiful island and now I've been there I think I have been spoilt and definitely want to return.
