The receptionist Tiara (sorry was not sure how her name spells), she was so accommodating/welcoming and sweet. She is the best. Breakfast was great, bed was comfortable. Location is great(close to a lot of stores and restaurants). It was just a bit loud from construction across the hotel- seems like they were working even at night, we arrived late almost midnight from a trip and saw them still working.

It was a good place to stay, plenty of parking, but bed sheets didn't fit, shower surround was loose, carpet was dirty on bare feet.

Very friendly staff, great gym and pool/hot tub

This is a nice modern property with terrific staff. Rooms are comfortable and good sized. The only negative is that the carpets in the hallways and stairwells desperately need to be shampooed. Room carpet seemed ok but hallway was stained and dirty. Given the clean crisp appearance of the lobby and breakfast area the dirty carpet was all the more visible. However I’d s recommend the property for its location, quietness, and facilities. Breakfast was a good selection of eggs, cereals, and breads with good coffee I mention the coffee since sometimes hotel coffee is pretty weak, this was not. There are a number of dining options close by. Access to the freeway is easy but you’re off I5 by about a mile so it’s much quieter.

2 nights of a barking dog late at night and very early in the morning so I got very little sleep. Never again.

Friendly and attentive front-counter personnel. Great breakfast. Pool area needs work - disconnected underwater pool light and paint chipping in hot tub. No blue recycling bin in room. Understaff for cleaning personnel - room cleaned only once during a 4 night stay (told it would be the case upon check-in) and a lot of litter in the parking lot and surrounding shrubbery.

At checkin didn’t get my id back - made no effort to get it to me that night or when I checked out. Water was Luke warm and was told maintance would look at it - was told this morning that maintance wasn’t even on shift last night so was lied too. When I called about my id the desk person said I had to pay for the shipping when the error was your people. Couldn’t even shower this morning because of the water pressure and lack of heat. Very disappointing when you pay $240 for a room!!!!

The property was not well maintained in terms of cleanliness.

The staff were amazing. The first room i was given smelled like smoke, phone didn't work, and was super small. Went to the front desk and they got me into a different room that was much larger and didnt smell like an ash tray and the phone worked. The hygiene products were empty, but a call to the front desk quickly rectified that. Overall our stay was great, just a little hiccup in the beginning. The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained with a nice sitting arwa nd cabana to sit under. I nice added bonus...there is a community park, across the street with climbing, a kids zip line, basketball hoops, walking, and a splash park, very well maintained...great for kids!

The place was very noisy. First night we had Bigfoot above us moving around. Second night we had a couple of people yaking away loudly. This was late at night. We did not enjoy our nights there. No rest. Other than noisy people the room was clean and had plenty of towels. Also the water was barely lukewarm. No hot water in the room.

My two sons and I checked in around 8pm for our three night stay at La Quinta in Federal Way; I immediately returned to the reception desk to complain about the strong cigarette smell in our room. I was told that the hotel was fully booked, but we could switch rooms the next day. We opened the window, turned on the room fan and the bathroom fan, and an employee gave us a can of Febreeze, but the odor persisted; none of us could sleep. Before leaving the hotel the next morning, I spoke with an employee at the reception desk and let her know that removed all of our belongings and would be back in the afternoon to check in to a smoke free room (the hotel is advertised as a smoke free hotel). When we returned, I was told that the hotel was fully booked and that they cleaned the smell from our room. We reluctantly went to the room and it still reeked of smoke so I returned once again to the reception desk. After much discussion, the manager reluctantly gave us a new room. Funny thing is that while I was waiting for my kids in the lobby, I saw the manager with another employee smoking in front of the hotel - since he is a smoker, perhaps that is why he was not empathetic to my complaint?

Walking in the room, the room was spacious. I stayed at a studio suite 1 king bed room. The room was right next to the pool, which was definitely noisy with kids enjoying the pool. However, the pool closes at 9 pm so the noise level went down at that time. The room looked updated with new-looking furnishings, but it seems outdated. The sink in the kitchenette had this green-coloured built up. The phone when I picked it up felt sticky. The shower’s pressure was so low and the water’s temperature could go only up to warm. The shower drain was the same level as the whole bathroom so there was like a little flood every time we showered. The only reason why the water didn’t go all over the bathroom was because of the shower curtain and we lined the shower area with lots of towels. It seemed like there was no effort whatsoever with their breakfast. They served little boiled potatoes once! Even the scrambled eggs was bland. We only went to breakfast once. That’s it. Lots of homeless people lurking around their parking lot. There’s a broken window by the breakfast area :(. Be careful! Still I gave a 4/5 overall rating because the lady at the front who checked me in was so nice. Hope this review helps!

Great location as it’s right by the mall. Lots of restaurants and stores at a walking distance. The room was comfortable. So were the beds and the pillows. The sliding bathroom door without the lock wasn’t on my husband’s pleasant list. I’d say that’s the only … we encountered.

Liked they had a good breakfast just would have been better if it was a little later.

Was an absolute great stay with my family. The pool was clean and the hot tub and the restaurants around the hotel were quiet, great. We simply walked out of the backside of the hotel to a great korean restaurant that was super super good. Definitely will stay again.

Location was convenient for us. We were visiting our daughter in Auburn. Tacoma was also an easy 20 minute drive. Parking was free too.

While my relatives asked for cleaning room three times, the room was not cleaned at all. Even I told a front staff, but it was not cleaned. I would not make reservation for guest any more.

Like the hotel was near shopping center and close to freeway. Didn’t like the room where the sink was clogged and no toilet paper holder.
