The bathroom was visibly dirty, when housekeeping came in to the room on the next day no effort was made to clean it. The toilet has mold stains that could have been easily cleaned. Mold build up doesn't happen overnight, so this was days in the making. There was long hair on the shower wall. The mirror over the sink had water and toothpaste stains. They could have definitely tried harder.

Good stay

The hotel is not suitable for people to stay. We pulled into parking space and saw broken and stained shades from the outside of the windows. When we went into our room, the smell of must or mold overcame you. It increased when we used the air conditioning. The towels were hard and scratchy and the bed skirt had a stain on it. The bed was comfortable but the sheets smelled like the red of the room and my husband woke up with bug bites. My thought is that some people live in the hotel.

There is no “full service” to the rooms. The only thing they will do is take out the trash and leave clean towels. I discovered this because the first night we stayed, I asked the front desk around 9:30AM if we needed to put something on the door for the room to be cleaned, and she said not that they are on the floor now. When we arrived back between 10-11, the room was the same way we left it. I called front desk and they said they do not do full service. Then the manager called back and said we would need to tell them before 12 if we want our room serviced, so I told him we just talked to someone that morning. He then said he would make sure that it would be done the next day. Of course, when we got back to the hotel the next day, same thing-room was left the same way we left it. I called down to the front desk and they said they do not do full service unless it’s once a week for longer stays. During check out the next morning, I was told I would get a call to discuss and to this day I have yet to receive a call. We checked in on 9/6 and checked out on 9/9. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will not be returning.

The sheets smelled, the place smelled like weed

While the room was clean there was no ice bucket no coffee set ups and nothing extra in care for night. However when I went to the desk they provided me with coffee a bag for ice and extra toothbrush and toothpaste. They were very kind and accommodating to my requests. Ice bucket necessary for keeping drinks cold when there is no refrigerator in the room!

It's good. You should stay there. Especially if you own a dog.

Parking was almost full by the time I got there but all n all the room was good I feel the soap options can improve

It nice place for relaxing

At first glance it didn't look to bad, but after looking around my room i seen blood spatter on the bathroom walls and door the door stop looked as if it were kicked in it was smashed into the drywall there was a few small poorly patched bullet size holes in the room. I had someone violently try and break down my door and i heard screaming and fighting not long afterwards down the hallway. I packed my belongings and ran out of there and drove to the Hilton at the hartford airport l. I was so freaked out i couldn't even sleep.

We have stayed at MANY Red Roof's but I am fairly certain I will never stay at one again. The entire space was outdated, the people at the reception desk had no personality and were very condescending when they were addressing issues including no batteries in remote, tv that was tilted due to a broken stand, toilet that would only flush if you lifted the lid and pulled the handle yourself, only ice machine was in the lobby of the first floor and there were no fridges in the rooms, room key cards that kept deactivating, one elevator that smelt like weed and the other one smelt like cigarette smoke, AC unit that would not stay running for more than 25-30 min at a time and a shower that took literally 45 min to get warm - NEVER got hot! Every other time we have been at a Red Roof we have gotten complimentary bottled waters and snacks, but they didnt even have a water fountain or bubblier in the lobby so the only way to get water was to purchase from the vending machine. I truly believe that this was the worst hotel experience that I have ever had.

Nothing spectacular about the room. The A/C was very noisy and the drain in the shower was very slow. Nothing like showering in ankle deep soapy water. The front desk was notified and I believe they attempted to repair the issues. But to no avail. Housekeeping never made the bed and we had to ask to have the sheets changed on the third day. It could have been much better and it could have been much worse.

Staff are very nice. Rooms are nice and clean. The only thing it’s missing is complementary breakfast other then that, that’s where I like to stay while in Middletown CT

The front desk wasn’t very friendly at all. I said hello first and had to ask basic questions like where to park, where can I find the wifi password, best way to get up to the room, etc. When we left nothing was said to us and we said to have a good day. The building as a whole needs help. Carpet is old and has a stench. Front automatic doors were falling apart. Wood furniture had scratches and desperately needed to be refinished. 2 holes under the bathroom sink, one was haphazardly filled in with exposed material. The first floor of the hotel seemed to have residents that lived there which is not a surprise since this hotel seems like it’s just trying to survive. Luckily the stench of the hallways did not linger into the room and the room was clean. The air conditioning in our room was also very noisy and need to be repaired. This place is doing the best they can with what they have. Red Roof as a company needs to invest in this location if they want to see it continue being an establishment. I wouldn’t stay here again unless I absolutely had to. Overall beds were comfortable, I’ll give them that.
