Our stay was great except I lost an item in the hotel and they have not gotten back to me yet about it

Good location

A nice, clean hotel, very close to the bus/train station.

Booked the room for 1 night. Got a fan in my room as requested. But then the cleaning staff knocked on my door several times in the morning despite a do not disturb sign and a check out time of 1200... Breakfast was not prebooked, cost 25 Euro and was not good. A standard continental set up with "English breakfast" but for the price? Not worth it. All in all, if I'm back in Freiburg, I could consider here again, but I would not stay 1 night or buy the breakfast.

Great bed and bathroom

The cleaning staff shorted us towels and tea and left coffee cups in bathroom, it's like they were interrupted and abandon the room half way through, one way or another total screw up on the cleaning crew two of the four nights. It's an older hotel connected to Conference center. Of course they responded when we called, but we shouldn't have to.

Good location with good car parking. Ok for a one night stay. Disappointing breakfast, no English breakfast tea, drinks machine out of order,bacon looked as if it had been cremated. Even though I would still use the hotel again

Good location and confortable service. Restaurant was little bit crowded in the morning.

Hotel has perfect location. It is 10 minutes walk from the old town. Restaurants are just around the corner. In addition, there is a railway station just across from the hotel. Room was clean with an and amazing view. Customer service at the reception was very friendly and very helpful. We spent two nights at the hotel, and we would like to thank hotel management for making our stay so comfortable. The only thing I would recommend is to change the pillows as some were a bit worn out.

After a six night stay in Novotel Munich we had a five night stay here in Novotel Freiburg. The difference in hotels was remarkable. The hotel in Munich was 5/5 but Freiburg Novotel was 1/5. The location is great - right by the station (trains, trams, buses) and town but that is where it ended. The description says it has a pool but for all six days it was ‘closed for cleaning’. We had travelled with a child and planned on using the pool every day so that was disappointing. The spa area was also closed ‘for cleaning’ throughout our stay. There was meant to be a bar/ restaurant area but that was often closed. For example we went to dine there Sunday night - closed. We then tried Monday night - closed. Breakfast is buffet style and is in a nice room and could be good if replenished but was sketchy. The hot food was poor quality and poorly cooked, the croissants dry, fruit non existent etc etc. The rooms are very tired and need refurbishing. Our air conditioning didn’t work and our tv broke down twice during our stay. The mini bar fridge didn’t work. The area is very noisy late at night as it’s on the way back to the station and you hear the drunks going home - quite a few hang around on the steps of the building next door too with the associated debris/smell. From about 5.45am the garbage vehicles, laundry, drinks deliveries start so don’t expect to sleep as you get woken up with the loud bangs. The staff aren’t interested and in hindsight we should have moved hotels on day 1.

Swimming pool was super small

The hotel is in center of the city, it is clean, and it has large rooms. There was a mistake with the hotel payment, i paid it two times but the staff went extremely hard to fix the problem and it was got it. I was very satisfied.

Friendly staff. Very clean and the breakfast is execellent.

Good location and the pool had a nice temperature. The breakfast was good, but the staff did not manage to keep it filled up so there was a lot of empty plates in the buffet.

The property is next to the main train station, lots of taxis just outside the door, plenty of places to eat within walking distance..hotel restaurant did not seem to be open in the evenings…breakfast was great…

Large room and located near the train station. The parking lot system is screwy - you have to pay at the front desk each time you leave.

Stop over on our travels to Switzerland. Easy to find, secure parking and fairly centrally situated. Will use again.

Close to many shopping stores. Great underground parking space.

Great hotel! Easy to park your car and explore the old town by foot. The rooms are well maintained. Convenient for the station too if travelling by train. We enjoyed the pool and sauna. Breakfast was a great selection to please all. Would stay again.

Undergoing renovations. The carpet in our hotel room was very stained and dirty but everything else appeared tidy and clean.

A hotel located adjacent to the hauptbahnhof. The room was well sized as was the bathroom and had a nice view of part of old town. The front desk staff was able to accommodate my very late check in. The carpet in the room wasn't the cleanest and housekeeping was a bit agressive about wanting to clean at 9:15am.

Had a great stay with family. Walkable distance (5 mins) to Hauptbahnhof and trams that take you to old city. Rooms are clean, property is well maintained. Excellent location. Highly recommend.

Excellent hotel. Nice parking garage and my three year old loved the kids play area in lobby. Check in was fast and room was spacious and great. Breakfast was VERY good and the staff maintained area well stocked despite busy times. The pool is also great for kids. Hotel restaurant was very good too for dinner one night. Only thing I can complain about is slow Elevators in the morning. Location is great and overall a wonderful Stay.

The stay was fabulous. Amazing superior room . Perfect room for a family . Breakfast was delicious. Overall the hotel was amazing.

Well located, clean and lovely staff

Very nice hotel close to the railway station and the nice centre of Freiburg. The kids loved the swimming pool and we all enjoyed the great breakfast. I would appreciate a more sustainable and eco-friendly approach.

Good stay, great parking for our big vehicle !
