Gym + Pool & Hot tub in good shape. Great bed clean spacious rooms. Good value

This hotel has decent amenities. They have a wet and dry sauna. Prior to check in. I asked if the saunas were working and was told yes that they were working. Went down to use these amenities and they were out of order.

Shilo is a great hotel for one night in between getting to your destination. It’s not anything fancy or new but it’s comfortable and reasonably priced. Breakfast is probably one of the worst I’ve had but again just stayed for a night and it’s free so get something else along the way. Their restaurant is pretty good for dinner though.

Slept well. Attendant at check in was surly- the others were quite nice. Old facility, very dark room, quite noisy. Good breakfast

There was mold on the bath tub,the windows were so dirty you could not see out, heater was noisy with what sounded like the fan moter going out, the parking area has large cracks and holes in the asphalt driveway into the hotel, weeds were ever where !

First stayed here in 1987. Was decent then but now it really shows its age. Won't stay here again.

This was a nice hotel. Right by the river and everything was close to it. The room was big and comfortable with microwave and fridge

The outside, the lobby, the side entrance, and the elevator had me questioning staying there. Once we got into the room itself, it was mostly clean. The front desk wasn't unfriendly, but wasn't welcoming either. The breakfast was ehh. Price was good though, and proximity to the falls was nice.

Was greeted immediately. We were hours early and our room wasn’t ready. We were told about a few good restaurants close by. The next morning we caught their shuttle to the airport. Good experience.

We had a late flight in, so the shuttle was not available. Our Uber was on time & got us there quick and safely. I had tried the day before as well as before our flight on the arrival date to let the front desk know of our late arrival time. Every time I called, there was no answer and no way to leave a message. That was frustrating. We asked for a late checkout since it was a short night already, need time to sleep. The check in person said they cannot do this. So I got up early to phone the morning desk person. The lines were all messed up, he couldn't hear me so sent someone to the room to figure out what was wrong. Again the phones were the issue?! After all that, we finally were given an extra 30 minutes. We were exhausted, frustrated, as the cleaning staff kept knocking on the door for us to depart. It was a nice property, but we would not stay there again due to lack of response to basic things, such as a simple phone call, some flex on check out time, etc.

Let me start by saying the staff did their best to accommodate a grossly sub-standard experience. That said, no offer of compensation for our troubles were offered despite what is about to be outlined below. At check-in, grabbed a luggage trolley to see it covered in cat litter and animal hair. Went to grab the other that was available and its posts were broken on one side. OK... Initially given room 106, stepped in the room and the room smelled like a cat's litter box. I've smelled far, far worse, but it was present. Went back to check in, asked for a different room, was given keys to room 114. While that room didn't have an aroma, it also lacked a functioning A/C unit on a hot day. Hard pass. Perhaps the third time's the charm? Nope. Given keys to room 134, walked down and found the "grip mat" in the shower pan was placed much further forward and surrounded the drain. It was lifting off the shower pan, exposing iron staining and gray mold clumps. Needless to say, we went back to 106 and dealt with the scent of felines. The bed was comfortable enough. However, it hadn't been dusted in some time. All the "low touch" areas had a significant sheen of dust. Following morning you *must* have a voucher to even get coffee or hot water for tea. Made sure to check out and confirm what we discussed the night prior with the front desk agent was noted somewhere, reportedly it wasn't. Overall extremely disappointed as I've had good experiences with other locations.

Friendly staff and clean room

Our room was nice, comfortable and quiet. Biggest concern was the parking lot is very rough and really needs to be resurfaced.

What a great find! Very spacious room with a sofa and a table--and a small kitchenette. It was plenty of room for two people. Staff were excellent and friendly. Restaurant served a good dinner. Very reasonably priced hotel on the waterfront.

The room was clean but the whole thing needs some restoring. The smell turned me off and then they said it included breakfast and it was awful. Eggs were green. Ham looked disgusting. Offered oatmeal but ran out and had nothing to replace it with. The only thing we dared eat was the cereal. I had stayed there years ago and loved it. Definitely not the same anymore.

We stayed two nights and were only given breakfast vouchers for one of the mornings. We had to get new key cards every time we returned to the room and yes we were careful not to place them near phones or other electronics. The staff was treated us well the bed was comfortable and the hotel is in a great location

My recent stay at Shilo Inn Idaho Falls was terrible. The hotel has gone downhill—mold in the shower, holes in the blankets, and lumpy pillows. The steam room and sauna were broken, and the gym had only two dumbbells. Breakfast, which we paid for, was disgusting, with no coffee refills at 8:30 am. Management was rude and refused to cancel our second night, even hanging up on the Hotels.com representative. We left at 9 am, paying for a night we didn’t use. Avoid this place at all costs.

This is a much nicer hotel than outside appearances convey. The parking lot is in need of resurfacing and not much is done for curb appeal. Staff, rooms and other accommodations are above average. One issue with the bathroom was no grab bars or slip resistant material on the bottom of the tub.

Nice size room. Good location balcony was really dirty but when we pointed this out the room service person cleaned the area. Property is dated but good value for money

This hotel was fine. It's older but is well maintained and spotless as far as housekeeping goes. The problem we had is there was no soap; none, in any room. I don't know who dropped the ball or at what level it happened but it seems to me that a quick trip to Walmart would have solved the problem. And when asked, one of the desk people acted like it was a normal every day thing and that he didn't see the problem. It was crazy. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay at this property.

At first I didn’t like it, the parking lot is packed with huge potholes, they don’t give you hand or body soap, and it’s kinda big and old What changed was when I used the pool and hot tub, realized they are walking distance to a great restaurant called Jakers and the Snake River is just on the other side of the hotel, runners, walkers, stay here, you’ll be glad you did, just have to look past some stuff and you’ll be fine - recommend

the propery is beautiful and the staff is nice. The rooms are clean. Breakfast items are very limited and the staff doesnt replenish the food

Very friendly staff!

No hot water and no one to talk to about this in the morning. Avoiding the guests seemed unwise.

The place is dated and a little smelly in the public areas. But, the room was surprisingly clean and fresh and the bed was comfortable. The "hot" breakfast was also a very nice surprise. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Great location next to the river and the River Walk..

The room was clean and comfortable. However the balcony that overlooked the river was filthy. It had bugs , dirt, etc. Chairs do dirt there was no way Icould clean off to sit and enjoy the action on the river. Such a shame. Friends in the room just below us experienced the same with their balcony. The restaurant needs better management.

No soap or shampoo or consider in the room Limited options for breakfast and other food. Firiendly lounge Excellent access to river walk and downtown Interior needs a facelift.
