There were fewer restaurants within walking distance than expected but on the plus side, the in-house pub had a great selection of beer and the food was excellent.

Beautiful property with very friendly helpful staff! We arrived a bit early but that was no issue. The room was lovely, the dining options were great. It’s walkable to downtown and the on side casino was lots of fun. At check out, the staff again went above and beyond to help us find dr in directions. Well worth every penny of the stay!

A very nice spot close to everything.

Excellent staff and clean room. The joining door needs better soundproofing ad you can hear the TV and conversations in the next room. The A/C worked well, but the compressor was very loud. Still loved the place. Good restaurant and bar with local craft beers.

Great spot

nice room but no pool or Breakfast

I was a guest for five nights AND during that time I had no Maid Service. I was tpld Maids could enter occupied rooms. This effected towel replacement, toilet paper replacement, new and fresh bedding and waste basket servicing. The general condition of the room deteriorated over the five days. The veiled justification was safety of Maids; when, in fact, it was a budgetary strategy. Ufly performance and poor guest application. Never again at any price. You should share the blame.

Check-in was efficient and the hotel was easy to navigate. The on-site parking garage was convenient and we were to park close to the doors. The room was adequate but some issues we encountered included potato chips on the floor, a smell of marijuana coming through the vents (even though the hotel has a no smoking policy), and a lack of water pressure that resulted in the toilet making gurgling noises and our shower water pressure to be nearly nonexistent. Due to our short stay, we did not mention these problems to the front desk until check out, so we are unsure of whether they would have resolved the issues quickly. We were told the water pressure issues were due to a filter being worked on.

The ladies at the front desk were very kind. When we went to our room, we could smell pit in the hallway, and it became worse inside the room. I went back to the desk and she apologized and changed our room right away. Fantastic. Really appreciated it and the new room had no issues. Overall a fine stay - a little slow in the restaurant and the ice machine on our floor didnt work but nobody dies. We just went to a new floor for ice. All in all a fine stay.

Place is decent but the price was a little high.

The property was clean and the people super nice. It was unfortunate on our part for not doing our homework. The only reason we chose this hotel was because of the casino for my son. We didn’t realize the gambling age is 21. Here at home it’s 18. So that was a bit of a downer. However, that is our fault not the hotel’s.

like the area around the location

I chose the Hollywood Casino because it was close to airport and offered shuttle service. I was traveling with my grandson who was going on to camp and I needed a place to rest before heading back home. I do not drive and after I bid my companion goodbye I waited for my ride. Unfortunately, no shuttle on day I arrived, Sunday, but was able to arrange for a private Uber. Once in the hotel, all went well. My room was excellent, clean and ready to enjoy. Bathroom tiles clean, no mold or mildew evident. The room smelled fresh, no flowery perfume to hide any odors. It was so nice. My only concern was that I do not drive and was basically stuck in hotel for the 2 nights. Since it was a brief stay it was okay, but I would have enjoyed the area more, its so beautiful Bangor, if I could have arranged to have some local driver or hotel personnel designated to make short trips, pre arranged of course (for a reasonable cost). I was told about two nice areas to visit for some other dining and shopping experiences, but I missed out on that. However, it was a great time that I did experience, and I credit the wait staff in 99 Hops House for it and hotel personnel, as well.The casino was fun, as well. I look forward to visiting Bangor again in the near future.

Belle place

A spacious room with a very comfortable king sized bed. Pillows were nice. Excellent temp control with room thermostat - I kept my room quite cold and my sister kept her room very warm. Quiet hallways. Didn't prefer the onsite food but had a nice time with DoorDash. There were only a few issues I would like to note - when testing the fluffiness of the pillows, there was a long dark hair across the top of one of them. Not knowing whether it had been laundered, I did not use that pillow. Also, I had a bath in the evening and saw several thin, dark hairs in each far ledge of the bathtub. These would not be visible when just looking while standing outside the tub, but getting into the tub, these corners were dusty with hairs. It is standard practice to wipe the ledges of tub whether or not you see anything.

In shorthand, everything was great including the in-house restaurant. Water pressure was, how can i put it, minimal. Front desk said it was temporary due to some repairs. But we weren't warned about it.
