Friendly staff and very close walk to Durer House and Nuremberg Castle as well as restaurants and cafes. The hotel breakfast was delicious.

We loved this hotel and would stay there again. Room was beautiful, spacious, and clean; I could have relaxed there all day. Friendly and helpful staff and the location couldn’t have been better. Easily accessible parking too.

We loved that this property was inside the Old Town walls and very close to the sites that are interesting.

The Durer hotel is in a very good location with bars and restaurants everywhere. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff are always trying to please. I can't say anything negative about this hotel. The staff if just amazing! I will never stay in another hotel.

The staff at this hotel took excellent care of us. The language barrier was not a big problem and the staff was nice enough to speak English. The room was perfect for a family of four (the quadruple room) and was very comfortable. It was a very easy walk to all of the sites in Old Town and parking was a breeze. I would definitely stay here again!

Lovely small hotel in great location for touring and sampling the Golden delights of Nuremburg in the ALT STADT. Staff ,both at reception and in the restaurant ,were helpful and friendly. Paid a good price , got good value for money and would recommend to anyone visiting the area. Only negative, bar was not open - prob covid related however you could fall out of the front door into a few nice bars.

This might be ok in the winter, spring and fall but big mistake in the summer. No A/C and hard springs in the mattress made for a miserable night’s sleep! The bartender seemed annoyed to have to wait on us and our friends we invited back (from their hotel) for an after dinner drink. It was finally cool enough to sit in the lovely garden but we were told it was too late (9pm) for the furniture cushions. We dug them out of bins ourselves AND put them away. On a bright note, the breakfast buffet was very good.

Only complaint is the size of the showers and how hot the room was. But I understand that is almost standard and Europe. Overall very happy either the hotel, staff and amenities. Would definitely stay again when in Nuremburg.

This is really a TOP hotel in the real center of Nürnberg. Good parking. Very good breakfast.

Decor could do with updating.

The hotel is at a great location in a walking distance from all major Nürnberg old town attractions. The area is quiet. The hotel is not new but clean. They have private parking for EUR14 per night, which is a nice feature given the difficulty of parking in the old town. It also has a very nice small garden to have a couple of drinks at night. The staff is generally welcoming with the bartender being one negative exception. The double room that we stayed in was quite spacious by the European hotel standards, however, that could be because it was a corner room. The included breakfast was quite good. WiFi worked well, however you have to re-sign in every time you to return to the hotel and every morning.

The hotel staff when I arrived wasn't very helpful as to where to park. But the location was amazing. It was in the middle of Old Town, walking distance to everywhere you'd like to see. Of the 7 days we were in Germany, this location had the best breakfast spread by far.

Nice hotel, by the castle and walking distance to all the sights. Great varied breakfast.Large and clean rooms, the decor is a little bit dated. No airconditioning - it would not normally be a problem but we were there during a heat wave!

We chose this hotel as a base to explore Nuremberg and the local area ie Bamberg, Rothenburg etc. The hotel is set slightly away from the main busy areas and is very clean, warm and with friendly welcoming, staff, who speak excellent English if your German is not great. The room was a little dated, think late eighties; white with borders round walls. The bathroom however, was modern and up to date. Overall the room and bathroom were extremely clean with everything you need while away. Only criticism would be that the rooms are very warm, in fact the whole hotel is very warm! Good in winter but with weather warming up in May it was a bit too hot. Beds were comfortable enough with single duvets on double bed although pillows could be better. Buffet breakfast was excellent, lovely light, bright room with plenty of choice and staff were attentive without being overbearing. The hotel is about half an hour walk from the main train station, and although it is a bit of a walk, it's pleasant walking through the town. You could always order a taxi but we enjoy walking. Public transport is excellent, great value and more important, on time! Very easy to use to explore the local areas, we visited Bamberg and Rothenburg and felt a bit daunted initially but the German transport system is easy to use with plenty of digital displays and vocal announcements even on board the trains. Overall a great hotel, well priced and in a good location.

On the outward flight the Stopover in Amsterd was extremly tight with only 40mins, this was further reduced with a long taxi time to the apron. The return journey the stopover was more generious.

Location for north east corner of old town walls, the castle, Duerer, Fembo houses: excellent Restaurant?: only breakfast, and bar in reception. Other meals to be sourced locally Breakfast quality service and content: excellent Car parking in indoor garage: yes, for 15? euros a night. No outside parking other than to call at reception for advice. The carpark has an auto elevator system worked by keys located on the nearest pillar between the bays. A bit daunting but be brave and it works fine and stops by itself. Watch out for low headroom for the driver and narrow spaces. My car is right hand drive so I needed to get out and go round to open the entry/exit gate. I was allowed to leave my car there after checkout on the last morning until 2.30 pm for shopping nearby. Air conditioning: none and it can be very hot in Nuremburg in summer In room facilities: only mini bar, no tea/coffee, no toiletries in my room only liquid soap on the wall. Bed comfortable, no wall make-up mirrors in bedroom (typical for Germany). Wi-fi is very limited. It says Wi-fi is available but it is only free for one hour each day, and if you turn off and leave the pc and come back later it has expired. Complaint?: only that the hotel is in need of a better quality of refurbishment and modernisation, the public and other areas while clean are in "traditional" style and are in need of redecoration so it presents as a bit dark, sad and run down.
