The Location is great, we had a balcony with great view. The service was very good.

OK for 1-2 nights stay. We needed to change the room because of the smell from the restaurant and because the heating was not working. Due to COVID-19 also all wellness parts were closed.

Great location right next to the promenade, great views from most of the rooms. Great breakfast buffet. A place that seems to be preferred by older generations. If travelling by car avoid parking in the underground car park, it's expensive and there are other options close by.

A nice hotel located by the beach definitly not bad and i might come back. Part of the service for example the day we arrived was really good other part was not brilliant but still not only completely bad.

I like the Maritim Hotels and take the opportunity to stay there whenever it is poossible

You will find dust in any corner of your room. There are busy people building on a large areal in front of the hotel a new one with many noise and dirt.

Nice stay--but no air conditioning. Very friendly and accommodating staff for the most part. Nice breakfast buffet!

I stayed for business, but the local area is very pretty and relaxing. The building works every morning at 8am weren't so great and the lack of air conditioning was a little troublesome, but luckily it wasn't too hot. Better pillows are definitely needed as I woke with a stiff neck most mornings.The decor is quite dated, but it does the job and is clean. The wifi is terrible, but the general area has pretty bad mobile service. Breakfast is great, the shower was always warm and powerful and service was always with a smile.

The room could use a few updates, but overall very clean and comfortable. The only real downside was construction is going on next to the hotel, so we woke early to sounds from the workers, but that's out of the hotel's control. I would definitely stay here again.

The Hotel looks more a 3 star than a 4 star. The carpets are a bit unfresh and the rooms have no air conditioner, so sleeping with the door or a little window open is a must but noisy from the outside. The shower was clean but the actual shower was blocked with calcium I guess so it makes it difficult to have a propper shower. Some bulbs from lamps didn't work. They do have very friendly staff. At night, the barman is the cook as well gets slow but he will do everything in his hands to serve you the right way. Great great breakfast buffet!! The pool was a good amenity as well. The view from the balcony is great.

Room facing east across the Trave estuary provided the most fantastic views. Large balcony perfect for sundowners.

I wanted to relax, and this worked out very well. The Massage at the spa was great and the view in the morning fantastic. Everybody was very friendly. It was nice to have a Restaurant inside with good food.the Hotel is little old, so the inferior Kind of old fashioned and the bathroom not too nice anymore.

Our reason for booking the Maritim Hotel was strictly for the view of the Baltic from the room's balcony, with all its ship and boating activity. When we arrived at the hotel we were told there was no room for us although we had booked and PAID for the hotel several months prior to our stay. They were expecting our arrival and had booked us into a hotel in the area. The hotel was a three story (5-star) hotel. Our room had a small semi-circle window that was too high to see out of and it faced away from the water, so no view. We feel strongly that we did not receive a fair trade based on our reasons for being there in the first place. We are from Canada and will not get the opportunity to go back to the area again. The Maritim did offer us a free supper at their hotel and a free trip to their 35th floor for the view and some beer/wine but none of this made up for the disappointment we felt. I am angry that this could happen when booking through hotels.com.

The Maritim is in a beautiful location and the staff was excellent. The views were fabulous, the food was very good, the room was comfortable, but over all, the hotel was very outdated.There was not real useable wifi, no air condition. The televisions were very old. The chairs in the room seemed rather old, and somewhat dirty and smelly. It was like a flashback to the 80's. I know that Maritim is an excellent brand hotel in Germany, but this did not meet our expectations from other Maritim Hotels where we stayed. It was ok, but not the quality or class of accommodations that we expected.

You can't miss the hotel! Friendly staff, nice restaurant with brilliant buffet breakfast. Pool area's just been refurbished and really good. Not sure if you have to pay for sauna as It's in a different part of the spa. Hotel gave us an Oyster card so we didn't have to pay to go on beach and received a discount to visit the sailing ship. There wasn't tea/coffee making facilities in the room which was a shame, but overall a good hotel.
