Location is a change out from a Days Inn I believe. They seemed to lack in help. When we arrived the outside garbage can was over flowing with garbage on the ground. The cleanliness was sub par. The complimentary breakfast was very limited with just pastries, toast, juice machine and waffle as an option. Beds were comfortable and the room for the most part was clean. I did like the location being next to some wonderful hiking trails and not far from downtown La Crosse.

We ended up staying a second night because we were comfortable there & not feeling well. Great room for the price. Could use some upgrades but for the most part it was very nice with friendly staff. Comfy bed w/good pillows.

Checked in after 8pm, and I had 2 rooms. First had the noisiest AC possible, and it was already on, so the crew that cleaned the room must have heard it but did nothing. The nonstop running fridge (we didnt even use it) was very loud as well. Molding coming off the walls in several spots, along with MOLD on the ceiling in the bathroom and sticky floors highlighted the general dirtiness. Even simple things like dirty tape on the remote control to hold batteries in just showed a poor quality to the rooms. Second room was missing the remote, the do not disturb sign, and had food in stained couch, along with chips and other dirt behind it. One of the comforters had a weird stain on it. Thin walls were not enough to keep sounds of neighbors amorous activities from waking us up in the middle of the night. All of this for a premium surge price due to homecoming weekend.

Room had a very distinct (not-nice) smell when you opened the door. After being there a while, we seemed not to notice, but every time we came in/out we could smell it. Also, the sheets on my bed had stains on them; I believe they were clean, just a stain. I asked for them to be changed out, was told they would be, but they did not.

It was just okay.

3 stains on 3 pillows. The bed looked like it had been remade and not clean. The shower drain was clogged most of the time with standing water. Stains on the ceiling. There was someone’s clothing hanging next to the shower. Stains on the couch and a tissue that was stuffed in the peep hole. The guy that checked me in was really nice and had great customer service. If I wasn’t as tired as I was, I would have requested a different room. I was there until 530am and left.

Rude staff, very poor breakfast, didn’t even stay…noisy above and to the side.

I reserved online and when I got to the hotel it took over 20 minutes to get my keys. I finally got my keys, took the stairs (which were filthy) and walked to my room. Every room was open with linens laying in piles on the floor and on the beds. My room was equally dirty. I looked at the floor and it had t been vacuumed. I immediately walked down stairs, dropped off my keys and said I would not be staying there. I went to the Holiday Inn and got a room.

This is the first time I stayed at this property. The building shows signs of decline. Hotel appears to have new managers and signs of addressing the decline. One odd piece of the stay was a problem with the door locking ability. Staff was responsive and took care of the issue.

Convenient location that was easy to get to. The front desk person was very sweet and efficient. Our suite was comfortable and quite roomy.

The door to the room was difficult to open/close. There was no shower curtain, bath towel or bathmat. Breakfast consisted of a couple of the little package of chocolate or powdered donuts. Have construction equipment in the parking area, where guests are expected to park.

Very basic. Get what you pay for. Crappy towels. Alot of the room doors looked they they had recently been pryed open. Won’t stay again. Breakfast was minimal. Bed was not comfortable.

Hot Tub Was Not Working, Indoor Pool Was Very Cool To Even Want To Go In To It.

The location is great. Hotel is good for the money. Not much for breakfast-cereal, waffles, toast, yogurt.

The room I reserved wasn’t available and the room they accommodated me to had an awful smell and I cancelled my reservation immediately and left as soon as I could. I will say the front desk worker was nice and did try to get me in a different room but I just didn’t want to stay there any longer and looked for a new hotel to stay at.

The property was very clean and the room was very large. It was easy to get around the room with my walker. The one thing that could use some improvement was the breakfast variety and I thought they could have allowed more time for breakfast..

Staff was very kind. Room was nice and clean. Everything seemed recently updated. Pool was not open, but wasn’t there for that so not a big deal. Typically breakfast selection that was fully stocked. Was a great stay all around.

If I could give it less than one star I would. This hotel is not at all what is described in the post. Hotels.com needs to look into this and remove the property, When we arrived, it was obvious that there were activities going on there that shouldn’t have been. The room smelled like smoke. The entire property was dirty and ill-kept. We stayed in the room for a couple minutes and turned around and left and found something else in the area. I wish we would have taken pictures. :(

Room was gross and made you feel dirty. Walls were black in some areas, entire floor walking around was sticky.

The place was very run down. It looks like it was a days inn but now stay inn. The air conditioner was set at 60 but never reached that temp. It was so hot in the room. It was cooler in the hallway. Remote didn’t work even with new batteries. The pool was cold and the hot tub was cold too. Nothing hot about the hot tub and there was a smell to the water.

This is an old Days Inn that has been poorly renovated and minimally done.

Lack of clarity about housekeeping always had to ask Room cleaned only once during our four night stay - when we requested it for third time. Limited breakfast. Not eco-friendly. Recycling not an option. Staff limited to one and often not available. Always in back/camera on counter. Morning clerk was friendly but not the rest of the day. Won’t stay here again

Overall Stay Suites was an adequate place to stay. It was clean and comfortable for the one night we we stayed while passing through the area. The breakfast was simple with little choices. The front desk was welcoming and friendly.

It’s very quiet, room was very clean and in good shape. Would definitely stay again!

Nothing to really complain about. I did have issues connecting to the wifi, but other than that it was all good.

This place is EXCELLENT! I just grabbed the cheapest hotel that looked good because we were only spending the night and would not get there till after midnight. I was shocked to find I had booked a HUGE room with a full-size fridge/kitchen. I would definitely stay here again!
