Great pool in front of the lake

A lovely hotel but a bit overpriced. Also, the AC was minimal.

The Front desk staff and car parking assistants were absolutely fantastic- very friendly and incredibly helpful. Any issues we had when we arrived were dealt with by people who could have known us all our lives- humorous, energetic and kind. So, a big thank you to them all. Sitting next to and swimming in the cleanest lake in Europe is a real privilege- Lake Orta is a wonderful examplar of the power of modern science to “ clean up” the pollution caused by previous centuries of burning stuff! Lake Orta is a beacon of optimism for the future of our planet. Soon this world will be cleaner and better than it has been for thousands of years. Go to Hotel San Rocco and walk along and swim in the lake to experience it for yourself! Lovely place and lovely people ❤️

Clean, comfortable, excellent attention from staff during all times. EV charger(fee) and easy parking (fee). Breakfast was very good. Rooms are simple but very spacious. Lovely place.

The hotel overall is an amazing property with outstanding views. A very nice front desk guy Cande "Papi" helped me a lot and was very diligent to try to give an excellent service. I had an upgrade do that the AC wasn't working in the room I was assigned to. Breakfast was very good and the Capuchinos were amazing. Bathroom ok, but dirty dirty shower.

Fabulous location in the town centre! The hotel is in a beautiful property on the water with a nice pool and overall great atmosphere. Rooms were too small though versus the price and cleanliness standards could’ve been much better.

great hotel for a break, nice lake, but will be nice to have a better access to the lake, you need to climb the rocks to come back, a small stairway would be great

Really enjoyed our stay here, we only stayed for 3 nights but the views were amazing! Very well placed on the lake. Very clean. Check staff were lovely, very friendly and welcoming. Small criticism would be pool area where the sun lounges are is not very big and found it hard to get a seat. Some brilliant restaurants near by. Also wasn’t aware you had to pay extra for parking so bit surprised when we checked out.

The property has an excellent location, warm staff and easygoing dining room. The only problem is the sign for entry for a car is not very clear which might lead to a difficult road.

This is superbly. situated property, right at the side of Lake Orta. A very peaceful setting, with a lovely terrace overlooking the lake. The staff are very friendly and attentive, they helped to make our stay very pleasant indeed. Parking is available, which is very useful in this small town. The room was comfortable, but could use some homely touches-pictures on the wall or example. It felt a little bare, but this wasn't a great deal. The lady servicing the room was excellent. Overall, a comfortable hotel in an excellent location, with lovely staff.

Very nice hotel in quiet Lago di Orta.

Lovely hotel in a great location. The property is beautiful and the staff very warm and helpful. My only complaint is about the room. While the design was nice It was quite small and the real problem...no shelves -nowhere to put our things. Whoever designed the room clearly never stayed there! However even with this complaint I’d stay here again. The location and view couldn’t be beat.

Right on the lake. Right in town. Great location. Bed and pillows very nice. Breakfast was outstanding. Great selection and quality. Pool was not heated and not very clean. Had algae on bottom of pool.

The hotel has an idyllic location, right on Lake Orta with stunning views. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the bar and restaurant staff particularly so. It was perfect for our 30th wedding anniversary.

We arrived at the hotel by taxi and had to carry our bags up a flight of stairs to a rather unimpressive reception entrance. We did not find the receptionists helpful or that friendly compared to the reception team at Grand Hotel Majestic Pallanza. We arrived at around midday. As check in time is 3pm we had to put our bags in a grubby storage room. We asked about the geography of the hotel and was given a map. Neither of the two receptionists explained that there was another exit or entrance and quicker way to get to the town. Consequently we had to walk up the steep incline to exit the hotel. On our return after 3pm we checked in. We were not shown to our room and was left to get our own bags out of the storage room.The general level of service was not as good as the Grand Hotel Majestic. The bar staff were excellent. We loved the bar location with its view of Lake Orta and Iso San Guilio. At night it is magical. Our bedroom was stylish and comfortable. Breakfast was self service. Fare was good. Very little or no service at breakfast even to the point of using a vending machine to dispense tea or coffee. The location where breakfast was served was unimpressive compared to Grand Hotel Majestic dining area with its panoramic view of Lake Maggiore.

The waiting staff were not friendly or welcoming at breakfast and didn't clear tables quickly or lay them up again. They weren't interested in the guests.

Great value for location and staff were all lovely

A good setting but indifferent and not very helpful staff and a rather stuffy and crowded breakfast are.

There was a wedding that I was uninformed about that was loud until 2. The room, which was seaside would have been nice if it wasn’t for the band playing and loud patrons. The walls and glass did very little to quite the noise and I felt like I was next to the band.

Overall this was a lovely hotel. The room was clean. The AC did not work, and during summer that was not a great experience! The staff said it wasn’t AC abut “air fresh” and couldn’t keep up with temps of 30 degrees (90s F). So that was disappointing. The room had no coffee making facilities and no iron. Other than that, it was ok.

It is a beautiful location. The classic room was a bit cramped. Lack of drawer space. Breakfast food was delicious, but experienced long queues to use coffee machine. Would return!

Hotel San Rocco has the best location in Orta San Giulio with a fantastic view. The service is outstanding and the staff will help you with anything you need. The restaurant at the hotel has really tasty food and they can help you out if you have any allergies. We needed food with no gluten and no dairy and they fixed it without any trouble. Probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Can really recommend it.

We have stayed here before and returned for the excellent location on the lake front and within a short walk to town. Modern comfortable room though a little on the small side - bigger rooms are available and we weren't in the room very much.

Girls on reception were miserable and did not even ask if we needed help with our bags - a long way to the dark dismal room. Given the room rate the room is very bland and sparsly furnished. luckily we didnt spend much time in it. Breakfast was chaos both mornings - ask a waiter for a pot of coffee rather than using the machine! Its a great location and the bar is nice but its let down by things that could easily be fixed

Very disappointing room: oddly configured, felt like a generic airport hotel with no charm. Staff generally uninterested in helping (with luggage, directions, how to find the room and parking, etc.). Location and views are great, but you can find better options elsewhere. Avoid the restaurant.

Beautiful hotel. Lake view rooms capture enchanting views. Desk speaks adequate English. Breakfasts with good variety and quality. Location a five minute walk to Orta San Guilio. Drinks next to the pool on the deck up against the lake are a dream come true. If you are going to Lake Orta, this is a fine place to stay.
